One of the most famous aspect of Soviet Terran's life is its free roaming dinosaurs. Actually, those dinosaurs perform other function than as tourist attraction.

You see, the significant part of modern Soviet Terran landscape was dominated by tundra. Was. Such ecosystem is a very terrible ecosystem, few animals and plants thrive there. That's why our scientists want to convert all those tundra back to the ecosystem before: steppe. The problem is, to maintain such ecosystem, we need big animals. VERY big animals.

Big herbivores are needed because they plough the land constantly, turning the surface upside-down, while their manure become fertilizer. Big predators are needed to make sure that we got no overpopulation problem. That's why we released those dinosaurs to the wild. By changing those tundras into steppes, we reduce the effect of global warming greatly. Our Jurassic Park is not only cool, but also very eco-friendly!
