Actually, he can. Arguably should. Candidates should be encouraging people to vote for them. Any citizen can advocate for any candidate. His only restriction is using mass telegrams to do so.
If you vote for me, I will guarantee that if you decide to run for election anytime, as long as I'm in office, I will do whatever it takes to help you get into office.
It seems you misinterpreted my intention in that post. I wasn't saying he couldn't try to do so but that it should be his own choice.
If he feels like he was pressured into voting one way vs another then it really wasn't a fair election. He can just not vote as is his right as a citizen but what I was saying was it should be a choice he himself made. Now if he does vote for him that's another matter.

With less than 90 minutes left before the poll closes we remain in a 12-12 tie. If this lasts until the closing of the poll Lasvegastan will retain his office due to his opponent failing to gain a majority. In 
Orbisburg millions are seen glued to their television sets awaiting the results of the election.
With such a close race various experts have been questioned and none can say who may win this race.
However, one expert had this to say.
"In such a close race the key to success is getting their platform out there. But more than anything else it's to be seen working on bettering the regional goals. It's easy to say I wish to do A or I want to implement B but voters don't want talk they want results and Lasvegastan has done his fair share of given that to them. But this is an age of new faces and new perspectives on age-old issues. So it's just as likely we may see a last-second voter tip the scales to their preferred candidate. It's happened before and so can happen here.

Before I start, I would like to thank all of those who voted and we're part of this awesome turnout, I would also like to thank 
Zyris and Ablem for helping me through the election process. And I would also like to recognize my opponent Viennaria for being a great sport through this process.
People of Abydos we have done it again, we have made history again. We are victorious again. After one term of success in the Templars guild, we will hold office one more term. My next term I have bold and region changing plans for Abydos starting with the Abydos olympic proposal, a new citizenship act that will help give non world assembly nations citizenship and eligible to vote in general elections, and pledge to do so much more in my second term. I thank all of those who have helped and guided me through this process, as a newer nation Abydos has proven once again that anything is possible and that there will always be opportunity for newer nations.

The third and final election in this cycle is for control of the Citizens Guild. As a future note, Citizens seeking to become Vizier must simply ask for it. We call this a challenge or bid. Once this elections conclude, the next set of elections for Vizier will be June 5th.

I plan to propose the Abydos Olympics proposal as soon as the citizens guild election is over. It will be the first act to be voted on for my second term.

Archery. Each participant would stand 25ft from the target and shoot five times. The target would have four zones. Blue worth 5 pts, green worth 10 pts, yellow worth 25 pts, and red worth 50 pts. The top three win prizes.
