I come here bringing my set of puppets, who have been severely lacking a proper home.

Wow, that was... quick.

I recommend sending UNGDI to the NFFE to continue the various undone businesses there first - like how I have Nagulan there.

But that's my WA puppet.

I'll be working on the map and forum as soon as I get home.

Sawari Neko reporting

So... any ideas for regional flag?

Pacifica federation

You can take a look at some of the Intergovernmental Organizations(Commonwealth of Nations, SETO, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, NATO, etc.) flags and see if you get ideas from those

I'll probably be murder for this, but why are you acting scared...

Don't worry, this sort of behavior tends to happen every now and then. I was deprived of sleep when I posted it.

@Mefpan: Yes my light novel will have a good share of fantasy in it just like school life (since I am a student too) romance, violence (sometimes extreme), comedy and a bit more of other things. PV:

"Infinite Moon is about a certain situation that first happened during the Meiji Period then it goes forward to somewhere during the 20th century concerning the same event that happened once again during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor but this time much more serious, and becoming the reason why the attack at Pearl Harbor is cancelled and the Empire of Japan withdraw from World War 2, changing the course of the world war and world history. In fact, Japan decided to prepare for what would come within many years in the future rather than fighting the world war. What would make the proud people of Japan change their minds, facing the shame of giving up from the world war? An exciting story full of both fantasy themes combined with the problems of real life. A story of how the Japanese, during a time of intense militarism, nationalism and imperialism, decided to give up their goals in order to prepare for what would come in a not so distant future. A story of why Japan decided give up her empire to save mankind."

Japanese withdrawal from WW2 right -after- or -during- Pearl Harbor? I can't imagine the U.S. letting Japan off the hook after that sort of event. It'd have to happen -before- the attack, before the declaration of war (which was already well on its way to the U.S. government when the attack was made)

And I don't know in how far a peace with the Chinese would have been possible after the 13th of December '37. What about moving the second unspecified event even further back in the timeline so that the Marco Polo Bridge Incident leads to a path of reconciliation instead of what happened in our timeline?

But that's just the history fanatic in me.

For the time being, I've given my endorsement to Hungramy.

Well, the Pearl Harbor might have pissed the Yanks off, but Japan decided to withdraw from WWII and "take shame". That means the 3 lengthy Midway battles didn't happen, in turn the Americans didn't have the morale and fervor to push to Japan. Also, additionally, inferring from his passage that the Pearl Harbor battle was much more intense, I'd say key targets in the harbor were obliterated, leaving not much standing; I could also believe the Japanese went wild to search for and turn the pride of the US Navy at the time - the carriers - into scrap heaps. I'd conclude that the Yanks won't (dare to) give a damn about the Japanese.

And about the Marco Polo Bridge Incident... we could try altering time from there too, so that the official time of the Pearl Harbor battle remained kinda same as our Pearl Harbor battle.

As gfor China - I'm not entirely sure about Japan's political landscape at that time, but is there any way to believably make more reasonable people to step in and turn the concept of a Greater East-Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere into an actual Co-Prosperity thing instead of a heap of puppet regimes purely meant to be exploited? If there's -any- way for that, it could possibly have a 30's China receiving development aid from a much friendlier Japan as well as Germany that has not been forced to choose which of the two nations to support (Remember, Germany -did- have a mission in China, even though I'm not sure whether it was purely about training the military there or also included economic aid.

If Japan wasn't putting most of its resources into trying to subdue China (and actually had a reasonably strong China by its side; after all, four years of aid can do a lot if done correctly), I can see the U.S. being slightly more willing to not jump into all-out-war right away.

FDR was strongly pro-Chinese... so adopting your model of everything seems reasonable, even nice. Seeing that China isn't brutalized into anything, perhaps the mixed-viewed quasi-communist dictator-like figure could actually approve of Japan, and might even continue to supply the Empire with sufficient oil and rubber, as long as it doesn't touch the Philippines.

Until the Japanese suddenly attacked Pearl Harbor, then also suddenly withdrew... Now my head hurts!

That would actually be interesting. If China and Japan (most unlikely pairing ever from today's viewpoint) teamed up as mostly-equal-allies and went on to try and expel European Imperial powers from Asia, that could lead to an equally large war when Japan and China go on to seize all those tiny little concessions Europeans had in China and then roll into India intending to bring down the Raj.

And then there's that piece of Manchurian land China lost to Russia in one of those Unequal Treaties or something...

We should stop, though - after all, this is going to be Sawari's story. But speculating is so interesting!

That's what enthusiastic contributors are for, aren't we? ;)

First time I've actually managed to not horrendously screw up on a vaguely modern-looking tank; a nice change of pace from my usual totally-not-ripped-from-WW2 things.
