I'd also like to think that with the size of my black market and corruption that most businesses and the like pay for the cops to patrol more mainly because the business doesn't have all legit inventory. The cops get both extra money and probably buy some of less regulated goods. Dead bodies and violent crime hurts the other crimes going on.

What are everyone's views on these:
Should Executive Power be vested in a single individual (i.e. The President of the United States) or a council of people (i.e. The Cabinet of the United Kingdom)?
Should legislatures be able to dismiss an administration/ministry (the Head of Government and/or the entire Cabinet)? And if so, should that force an early election? Or should the legislature appoint another administration/ministry to serve the remaining term of office?
Should Legislatures enjoy fixed terms of office (like the US Congress), or may they be dissolved for early elections by the executive or a majority of members of that legisture (like the UK Parliament)?
And a little tongue-in-cheek question to conclude... would you rather a Congress of Monkeys (America) or a Parliament of Owls (UK)? :p

No. I dont believe there is a necessity for a national legislator.

Depends on how you want your country to RP. Having a president could make the politics more stable. Though how the legislature looks could hamper the president. (Might limit your political parties in your legislature) having a cabinet gives you the ability to have a easier multi party system.(this gives you the ability to switch your stances on things with a general election)

Yes, with the first one. I think it should go to a full election.

Why not a fixed term unless dissolved by the legislature? Say 5 years unless changed.

We just recieved an embassy request from an almost entirely spanish-speaking region. They also sent me a TG in Spanish. What does everyone think? On one hand its always fun to have embassies with other regions and it might be interesting to one from a region that speaks another language. On the other, I know only some Spanish and can carry basic conversations so i may need the help of translation software. Do you guys think the language barrier is a reason to not open embassies or should we try anyway?

Agreed, but I have a weird feeling its a puppet storage region masquerading as a real region. (Timing of posts and decreasing number of post likes by the same group of nations, as if one person was going through his/her puppets and responding like real players.) Not that I have any real objection to having embassies with anyone, short of fascists and neonazis, but I feel uncomfortable with the attempt to look real.
Considering many of us on NS are multilingual it wouldn't hurt. We could delegate translators on behalf of the regional body.
I wouldn't discount Athretvari's concern. We are better off having affiliates with a legitimate region consisting of multiple independent nations. Still, if a region predominantly speaks a language other than English, we could offer a translator (if we have).

I don't mind either way. In all honesty we don't do much with the embassies we do have in the first place. I honestly think it would be a bigger problem if we had a multi region run rp they wanted in. We didn't get notice UCON went under awhile ago for example.
