In Porto Velho, the capital of Bolivia, lies a booming rubber industry. With the newly introduced "Queen Tree" - a newly crafted variant of the Hevea Brasiliensis (traditional rubber tree) - natural rubber production has been on the rise after decades of slow decline.
In Manaus, the population is booming. For the past fifty years, the population has slowly climbed as laws allowing rubber harvesting and agricultural development allowed larger plantations to flourish along the Amazon. Nevertheless, a recent law put into effect by the Governor-General of New Holland has issued a statement that for every one tree cut down in the ever flourishing lumbering industry, three must be planted. This is aiming to maintain a steady income from timbering, and yet ensure a new crop for the next generation.
In Northern Greenland, a uranium rush has begun. Following the discovery of uranium in small quantities in the north east regions, over 30,000 people (mostly the wealthy freelancing, and desperate vagabonds) have begun finding other quantities of uranium, along with gold and even some silver. It is expected that despite the frozen tundra, Greenland's economy may very well swell handsomely, and become a new economic hub in the world.
The Royal Ballet in Amsterdam has just begun a new piece by an up and coming composer - the piece is called "De Vier Temperamenten," and is featuring Lenora Ashurst, the newest Prima Ballerina who is opening the new season playing the principal role. The ballet is set in Ancient Greece, and personifies the Four Temperaments as they afflict their young ingenue before her untimely demise.
They soon leave, and head to the Carpentry and Mechanical Department. There, they walk into a shop class of second years learning the basics of building tables and chairs.
A historic election!
The campaign has finished and all of the results have now been counted. In a historic result, the National Party has the majority in the House and its leader, Graeme Blaine is almost certian to become Prime Minister. This is an historic victory for the Nats as no right wing party has ever gained the majority and become the largest party and it is a fast rise for a party who was founded only 50 years ago. Some of the statements made by Mr. Blaine and his fellow party members have been controversial so we will see how this next term goes.
Prime Minister Stewart has conceded and congratulated Prime Minister-elect Blaine. I want to congratulate Mr. Blaine and his party as they have run a good and spirited campaign to achieve this result. I may not agree with he and his parties policies but this country needs to get behind whoever the PM is for the good of the country. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your PM for all of these years and it has been my honor to lead this great country. I have not made a decision on my future as I need to think about and discuss with my family.
Deputy Prime Minister McInnis has also conceded the election but not until late. Her speech was short but she did say that she was resigning as party leader and from her seat as she has served the country well and for a long time and it was time to go.
The full election results are as follows:
(Parliament is 369 seats.)
National Party (Graeme Blaine)- 190 seats
Social Democrats (Maisie Stewart)-90 seats
Liberals-(Imogen McInnis 50 seats

THE NATS?????? AS IN NATSONICA?
They start walking. Apollo city was obviously for a more wealthy demographic with the way everything was, it was like a utopian city in some areas, a shopping centre dominated the train station but they walked towards a different part of the city.
“Your different people? Are you one person split into three?” Isabel asks, the man with the bow and arrow puts his weapon away.
“So we are trapped, I thought so.”
“Well first off, can you see Cursed spirits or…” he says, raising her middle and index finger and producing cursed energy in her hand, it was blue.
“…this?”
Min pauses and keeps eating but seems a bit rattled.
“I felt Kanedo for a split second.” He says.
“Are you scared?” Natalie asks, Min looks up.
“Of him? Of course I am.” Min says, shrugging.
Brigid keeps eating. "I think everyone is a little bit scared of him but are you sure that was him?" She looks around to see if she could see anything but does not.
"No....not really? I've mever thought of it like that. And there's way more than 3."
Afrikan happenings
President Bramer resigns, stating a wish to retire and leave the Union in capable hands, the office succeeding to Prime Minister Archibald Murray. Curiously, Murray does not immediately vacate of the office of Prime Minister of Rhodesia, and neither does the Parliament of Rhodesia immediately motion to remove him from the office. He announces a call for a general election to the Union Parliament and pressures, with success, for new elections in all of the National Parliaments barring that of Gabon. There is great and varied speculation about what will come out on the other side of these elections. It has been many years since such a widescale political shakeup took place.
A small but widely rooted development of passive resistance within the Bantustans is being met with an intensification of active policing by Civil Protection. So far a handful of supposed ringleaders have been seized.
A mining operation in Tanzania has agreed to shift its excavation to avoid destroying what has been identified as a major archeological site. The site has been taken over by a privately-ran and exclusive occult society. The only stated reasoning that makes it out is an apparent interest in what may be uncovered, and that the site is an intersection of Ley Lines.
Military readiness is being periodically evaluated. Mass formation inspections will be playing out over the coming weeks, with deeper analysis extending to the coming months.
“I…maybe not, it was intense though.” Min says, Natalie nods.
“I definitely felt something, strong cursed energy, weird.” She says. Min pauses and sighs.
“How are we gonna deal with Kanedo? When me, Brigid and May fought him he barely put any effort in and still had the advantage the entire fight until Simon showed up. Every time Isaac eats one of those fingers kanedo gets more powerful as well, so it won’t be getting better.” Min says.
The first days of the new administration
Prime Minister Blaine has taken office and the first thing that he did was change the name of the country back to the Celtic Republic and the flag back to the old flag. He says that the old name and flag reflects who the country is ad that the previous government should not have changed it and that they were trying to hide the Celtic heritage of this country.
He has also ordered a evaluation of military readiness and an increase of military spending because the military should be strong and ready to go against any threat to the Republic. This has been welcomed by the top brass of the military as this is something that they have been asking for for years.
In a somewhat controversial move, the government has made the decision to move the capital to Dublin as it is a city better suited to being the capital and by doing so will connect us back to our history as our independance was announced in Dublin and was where some of the major battles of the war were fought.
The cabinet is still being formed and it will be a departure from past cabinets as this one will be the most right wing cabinet in our nations history. It will be interesting to see who gets the Foreign Secretary post as the nation is friendly and close with a lot of big players.
"I felt something as well but I guess it was nothing." She takes another bite of her food.
"That is a good question because you are right we could not do anything to affect Kanedo last time. We need to have a d*mn good plan on how to take him on before we do so next."
“When we went on that second mission to that prison, kanedo ripped Isaac’s heart out remember? I remember he was very very fast.” Natalie says, Min thinks.
“I think he’s gone easy on us as well…has he threatened you at all Brigid? He said some things to me.” Min says.
