I am a Citizen of both regions, I can see the uniqueness of both and would hate for either to merge and see the loss of what they both have. Merges are always onesided and there is always a loser like you said "NWE merges into Thaecia" I don't think you should even suggest something like that unless you can say "Thaecia merges into NWE" and not be immensely hurt at just the thought of it.

In fact, I must fully approve of Andusre's decission. Marviton showed himself to be a very unreliable person and did not even bother to share TPU's few beliefs yet he led the party (a period during which it collapsed). He also willingly and purposefully sabotaged the coalition negociations I attempted to lead, prolonging the crisis Creckelenney caused.
