But I still believe, if there's even a chance for them to turn around, then I will not ban them. At least, not at the first time. It's true that the vast majority of players who get banned here often won't change, but there's always that one person or dude who decides to suck it up and change. Zidium is a recent example and- even if some people dont like him- I believe giving him a second chance was worth it. I think giving EK a second chance was worth it. I think giving Merlo a second chance was worth it. (IK EK and Merlo were different circumstances, but they still apply to the idea of leniency even if not on the RMB itself.) I'm happy I got to know these people, and I never would have if we decided giving second chances and being lenient wasn't in our repository.

When we adapt a strict banning policy, we potentially miss out on people who- if we did give a second chance- become active community members. And yes, merely being active does contribute to the diversity and activity of our community. Without people talking here, there would be no RMB RP community afterall.

Also as a reminder I do ban trolls/spammers when needed- I'm lenient but I don't hold back banning automatically. It's considered per situation.
