Nah, it's "it didn't hit the fan as badly as we'd feared".

Which is better than nothing else, I suppose.

It's still pretty bad, but it could'ave been alot worse.

My Facebook has been constantly inundated with "Japan Earthquake Joke" statuses. I try not to get involved with these things. It just makes me realise how lucky we are in Britain to be in such an inactive part of the globe.

Adaptus So you survived the great quake of 2008?

You know you don't have to quote the entire nation name, right?

The talking crowd here is small enough we can just use shorthand and still know who we're talking with.

Like Voc, or Tag or MH.

I wonder when we'll have a quake here in Seattle. We are most definitely due and I wouldnt be surprised if it was a pretty big one.

Man Emakera is probably the worst country to live in. I imagine it as some arid wasteland that gets burning hot during the day and freezing during the night.

Haruspex and I would beg to differ.

Quake of 2008? What quake. I thought it was a southern thing. I didn't feeling anything.

You know the day is off to a great start when the first thing you do is stand out in the rain and get soaked in two minutes. So glad I thougt to leave my phone inside.

I did have one like that recently, but it turned out that the day wasn't too bad after all.

These 8 to three days just suck the life right out of me. I'd rather get up at 515 am and get to work at 630 and get off at 130 pm than sleep til 645 get to work at 8 and get off at 3. More time out of the building on the bus and only have to deal with one class of kids.

Not to mention a load more of free time.

Haruspex is of course the terrible blighted land of Europa.

Been to Hospital today. Blood test after blood test after blood test. Apparently I had Rheumatic Fever. Now they have ruled it out, since the antibiotics just aren't working. So I was sent to the Infectious Diseases Ward at the Hospital. They don't know what it is either. So they took like 6 bottle of blood from me. Bearing in mind I was all woozy and light-headed in the first place. But yeah.

Anyway they have a feeling it might be Glandular Fever, however they aren't too sure. So i'm also being tested for Meningitis, HIV, Hepatitis B, Liver infection, Heart Infection, and pretty much any other Viral infection under the sun. Good news is, they doubt it's anything very serious. Bad news is, whatever it is, it's still pretty serious. If that makes sense.

The worst thing is, I've, for the most of my life, been pretty comfortable in Hospitals, even during all my heart problems. But today there was just something that really didn't feel right you know. For the first time I can remember, I've been generally sh*tting myself in hospital worrying about myself. Kind of had the feeling all they that, this really wont end well. Maybe i'm just over-reacting, but seriously it's been very unpleasant today.

Seriously man, I really hope it goes well for you.

You're one of the few of us oldies left now, and I've kind of known you for a while.

Makes my issues with the local council seem insignificant by comparison.

Just want to say that I always hope everything turns out fine and that after this long a time, my concern should be apparent without my having to voice it.

Though saying it like that makes me sound like a jerk.

I blew my nose so hard I think I can hear with my right nostril.

Im not sure I completely understand...

In other words HH, Tag cleared his sinuses right the hell out.

Ow.

Not the hell out enough. This cold appears to be now manifesting itself as a bit of a persistent, mild headache and pressure across my face.

Oh, well.

That's the season change for you.

Posted something in chat thread on forum, you should read it. /plug

And there's no soda so that means it's going to be a very, very long day.

There's three hours til freedom but at least there is soda now.

Fahrenheit 451 is fascinating and disturbing in equal parts.

Been back to the Hospital today. This time I saw the same doctor as last time, along with a consultant and two nurse helpers, oh and a Japanese medical student. Blood tests back back negative for HIV and the likes. Now there getting more specific. Now there not even telling me what there testing me for, just explain what kind of things there looking for. The consultant even told me he is going to have to go away and read up on several things he thinks it could be.

So today I basically sat in a consultation room, watched by like a sh*t ton of people and talked about my symptoms. While nurses took yet more blood (thankfully nurses are better at taking blood then doctors). I was told my condition, whatever it is isn't benign. Which is a damn good thing. At least I know I don't have leukemia. So now I have two weeks to wait this time, while they run more tests, and if nothings found, and/or i'm still ill or getting worse, after those two weeks, there going to take me in. Since there is only so much they do to you as an outpatient.

I mean i'm less worried. But I think thats more down to the fact I feel a bit better in general. But at the same time, I don't see this going away in two weeks. I love my health.
