Unfortunately, the disease's spread is near-inevitable. Now we must rely on effective social distancing and testing to mitigate the damage.

A Texan for secretary general? I can only assume Colonial Bay chose who our state supposedly supports in this election. Considering only one nation is even a part of the WA here, I do not think this "endorsement" will have any effect.

Greetings, and welcome to the NS region of Massachusetts. It's kind of a dead place, but I'm glad to see someone else actually posted on the RMB!

"It alleges Nangle repeatedly used a contracting company, based in Tyngsboro, which did work on Nangle’s home valued at about $7,000.

Nangle never paid up, the indictment alleges. Instead, the contractor was “awarded lucrative bids” for construction projects with state funding secured by Nangle.

When Lelling opened the press conference to reporters, one of the first questions asked was is it Dave Trahan.

Lelling wouldn’t say. Trahan is the husband of Rep. Trahan. He is a homebuilder and a close Nangle friend.

That question didn’t apparently set with the Trahan camp, as spokesman Mark McDevitt asked The Sun’s on-scene reporter to dime out who posed the question.

“So apparently someone asked a question based solely on rumor about Lori’s husband, and it set off a wave of other media requests from people who heard it. Like a game of telephone,” McDevitt said in a text to The Sun’s reporter. “I’d hate for anything factually incorrect to get out ahead of us. If you have any idea who that might have been, can you let me know.”"

So apparently Nangle or some other politician got the MA government to sell Trahan some land in Tyngsborough. I live right next to this land and Trahan built a bunch of condos there.

On the surface, the alleged $7,000 of free work paid for Nangle's influence. Sounds like the way things had always been in many circles, and I had hoped that this nonsense was still not going on but obviously it seems that it was.

Hope the right thing comes of this soon, otherwise this is just a piece of dirty laundry that will to be swept under the rug, as usual.

Thanks for the story, Tyngsborough.

Always nice to read these kinds of stories. Gives that local touch to the region.

Framingham, Winchester MA, and Tyngsborough

Just thought it was weird that this was happening in Tyngsborough out of all towns.

Oh dear, well, hope all that is duly adressed.

Having formerly lived in Cambridge a long while ago there did not seem to be too many communists there, just scientists and intellectuals. But hey, if they were to be anywhere in Massachusetts, that would probably be the best place to find them.

Massachusetts is finally renumbering (by mileage) the exit numbers on the highways.

https://www.newmassexits.com/

Good ol' exit 26 on I-90 to Logan Airport is now...exit 137.
Exits 18 and 20 (these two are the same exit) on I-90 to Cambridge is now...exit 131
Exits 2 and 3 on I-90 are now exits 10 and 41.

Inelegant, but we need those federal dollars like everyone else.

Hello! I’m Beverly MA, from the Essex County.

I border the historic town of Salem! We also have many historic sites in our town!

Early Settlement
————————————————————

Originally part of Salem, the area was first settled in 1626 by Roger Conant and other members of the Dorchester Company who came down from Gloucester, Massachusetts after a failed attempt at establishing a fishing station. They decided to settle in what was then called Naumkeag, part of the Agawam Indian Territory. Conant and other colonists built homesteads along the banks of the North River. Here they fished and farmed until 1628 when, a new wave of English colonists, led by John Endicott, arrived in Naumkeag. Endicott was sent by the Massachusetts Bay Company to govern the tiny settlement, replacing Conant. Disagreements between the “Old Planters” and the new arose, but were eventually resolved peacefully. In honor of this resolution, they changed the name of the settlement from Naumkeag to “Salem”— meaning the “village of peace”.

In 1635, Roger Conant and four other villagers, John Balch, Peter Palfrey, John Woodbury, and William Trask, petitioned the town of Salem for a land grant on the other side of the river, known as the “Bass River Side.” This grant was approved and each man was allotted 200 acres of farmland, totaling 1000 acres in all. These men and their wives and children soon settled the new region, building homesteads in what eventually became Beverly.
