Germany Remilatrizes the Rhine.

On this day, 20,000 German soldiers marched into the Rhineland, a place demilitarized under the order of the Treaty of Versailles. The Furher stated the following:
"No other foreign nation should dictate what we do within our own borders. The Rhineland belongs to Germany, not France, nor the United Kingdom."

In other news, more factories have been opened to increase production for goods such as military equipment, and civilian goods. Approximately 10% of military goods will go to the ottomans.

Military Development:

With new methods of machinery at the Great Ottoman Empire's grasp, the Sultan has celebrated at the finish of a new series of weapons.

1. The completion of 50 light tanks named Kurt I has led to great celebration, as the military continues to grow substantially. Cultured in light tans and greys the tanks are designed to roll in the desert quite well

2. The Sercu 1-80 has also finished construction of 100 fighter jets. Taking advantage of new cooling technologies, it has a redactable under carriage, fully enclosed cockpit, and all meter wings. With an elliptical wing design, the wings create less drag than in the past and are still thick enough for the armaments to go on. With eight machines guns, each capable of firing 1.000 shots per minute, the weapons will be by far the strongest the Imperial Air Force has seen

3. The Kuzgun I-90 is a bard new bomber with 20 produced. These planes, with a double engine, and two turrets (one at front one at rear) which cans hoot up to 650 rounds per minute. These planes can carry up to 7 bombs

4. New artillery has also begun production with 15 already made, with the new Amir 4-80, new mortar shells that can fire up to 2.000 meters away.

5. New u-boats are being pumped out, with 1 U-boat being made each week. They are roughly 250 tons, 40 meters long, and 3.5 meters wide/high. Being able to launch a total of 6 toreadors or 10 mines, and 14 knots per hour, with a total range of 2.000 km surfaced, or 350 km submerged

6. The navy has also begun an even larger expansion. With a total of 25 brand new destroyers having been produced this year, along with 5 battleships, and 30 cruisers, the Imperial navy is growing at a massive rate

7. Construction on a brand new railway gun has also begun. Planned to be 1.000 tons, 50 meters long, and with a barrel length of 29 meters, this will be one of the largest artillery pieces in the world. Special railways are also being built across the nation for thus massive artillery piece, with plans for even bolder military use

In Process (Level 2 Classified)

Helicopters have been developed since the 20’s, but with little practical capabilities. They are slow, can’t stay in the air long, an expensive to make. Therefore, the Ottomans have begun development of the H-180, which will revolutionize air travel. Designed to have an 80 horsepower engine, and three rotate, this will be the first to use a vertical plane tail, along with an inflatable device making it the first amphibious helicopter in the world. It will be 10 meters long, 3 meters high, and weigh 520 kg. Planned to have a max speed of 85 km per hour, it will be able to travel 125 km in one trip. It will be able to fly for about 1.5 hours, with one pilot. It will also be able to lift off vertically and land vertically, and hover. This will be the first Turkish made helicopter by a Turkish Company.

"That trade deal sounds like a good one and it would be beneficial for both nations."

The US hears about this and calls on Germany to stop and to abide by the treaty of Versailles or there will be consequences.

Brigid in the Celtic Republic would hear reports of strange supernatural phenomena in Japan, on the coast in a small fishing town. These reports would line up with other supposed “demon” sightings.

Brigid hears these reports and is intrigued by them. She has heard about these supposed demons and has a bit of interest so decides to go to Japan to check them out. She gets a boat from Cork and on the way she reads what information there is about demons.

In some Japanese texts there are legends taking back to the Sengoku period. In the present year, 1926, sightings had decreased significantly and were dismissed as legend.
Weeks later she arrives in Sendai, the port city where the killings had occurred, that were supposedly done by a man eating bear according to the locals. Asking around would probably be a good start.

She reads these texts and gets a good idea about demons. She is convinced that whatever is happening is not legend but something demon is like. When she gets off the boat she decides to ask around at the port shops to see if anyone knows anything. She enters a small shop along the water.

The shopkeeper was cutting salmon, he looks at her.
“Ah a European! How can I help?”

“Oh…the, the bear?” The shopkeeper says, growing a bit cagey.
“There’s a woman down at the lodge who’s been looking into this. I’m sorry but I can’t help.”

Brigid nods. "Thank you and you have helped me." She bows and then leaves the store, heading to the lodge.

At the lodge the lady at the front greets Brigid, there was a woman wearing a flowery kimono with a butterfly pattern haori sat next to a window at the front of the lodge, she looks at Brigid.
"Konichiwa!" She says, sitting forward sipping a tea.
"Who are you? A European?" She asks, she had black hair with purple highlights at the end, a butterfly hairclip held her hair in place.
