Question for everyone, how long has it been since you started watching anime; and what was the first anime you watched. (if you can remember)

Can't remember, over two decades ago. Candy Candy I think. Was watching with my sister. Before that, in the early nineteen eighties I wouldn't have been able to differentiate between anime and western cartoons.

Omg my mum watched Candy Candy when she was young. I've actually watched it too!
I have always watched anime since I was young, I think my first one must have been Dragonball or Ojamajo doremi.

Really the first ones would have been AstroBoy, Prince Planet, and Kimba the White Lion back in the late 60s. After that movies like Grave of the Fireflies and some early Ghibli movies in the 80's. Then it was the original Fate Stay Night anime in 2007. I've been hooked ever since lol.

Wow

My first anime was .hack//SIGN (apart from obvious ones I saw as a kid on TV, like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon and DBZ etc)

For me, it was Pokémon back in the 2000s. I watched a little in 2013, but abandoned when I deemed it too dramatic for my tastes, and then I got hooked back in during 2015-16 with Hetalia.

*A stranger crosses the border into Anime, with a march in his step and a stern countenance. He carries a rather large rucksack, containing his personal binder for diplomacy among other necessary essentials. Surveying this vibrant region, the catgirls and maids remind him of many vibrant trips to Japan (all done in the name of business, of course), but he is quick to shake off such distractions. Speaking up, he announces loudly to whoever may care to hear*

ACHTUNG! Ich heiße Ludwig Beilschmidt, representing the Federal Republic of APH Germany. I come on behalf of Hetalia with a desire to recruit and subsequently introduce new nations, or reintroduce old ones, onto the world stage! Should you arrive, please conduct yourself with respect to others at all times, that is all!

*Pulling a plastic bin out from his rucksack, he places it on the ground and attaches an umbrella to its side in order to protect it from the rain. The bin contains pamphlets inviting nations to join Hetalia, as well as standard rules and expectations. With that done, he leaves as soon as he arrives, performing an about face and marches away.

Uhh.. Unknowingly? Macross/Robotech re-runs. With knowledge of it being anime, I'd say Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu.

I haven't watch anything lately but a Chinese donghua caught my eyes and it is very good. It is called Link Click. Currently rated #21 on MAL if that says anything for you. Check it out if you can!

Hello everyone. August has passed and the new month of September has started, which means some people are going back to school. Well anyway I have recently watched code geass which is now my favorite anime, so the new anime of the month is code geass. As always I give my best wishes to all of you, and have a great month. :)

*A marching orchestra band of marines play Johnny Comes Marching Home on their brass instruments. A million men march in lockstep down the parade avenues of the Eastern Seaboard Megalopolis, formerly the independent cities of Washingtong D.C, New York City, Pilhadelphia, Boston and Montreal. The countless brave men move in unison before the Continental Control team situated upon the procession stand— of which, the Continenal Director Howard Scott and the Board of Military Directors review their troops as apart of the 1952 Armed Forces Readiness Survey.*

*The banner of the technocracy is hung from every street-side lamp post, there are cheering crowds of citizens on the sidewalks. Streetside vendors sell these people corndogs, refrigerated sodas and other delicious nourishment. Homes proudly hang the flag of the Monrad symbol from window stills. They are patriotic over the ideology responsible for bringing about America's recovery from the Depression and a bloody World War II.*

Infantry columns come and go, the streets rumble with life beneath the tracks of multi-tonne behemoths. T34 and T32E1 heavy tanks tread past the procession with their guns raised. These heavy tanks were the Technate's answer to the Soviet Union's IS-3 Heavy Tank and T-44 Medium Tanks. A number of M48 Patton and T-54E1 main battle tanks are unveiled for the first time, a new and versatile tank class which combines the firepower of a heavy tank with the mobility of a medium tank. The strange Oscillating turrets of the T-54E1s and T-42s are certainly eye-catching, with many describing them as "tanks of the future".

Overhead, a swan formation of seven F86 Sabrejets and F89 Scorpions scream past doing a low-altitude fly-by, leaving behind red and white (environmentally friendly) chemtrails that mimick the red-white stripes of the nation. They are followed by anachronistic A1 Skyraiders, the most powerful piston attack craft prowling the skies amidst an emergent jet age. The skies are suddenly swarmed by hundreds of B45 Tornadoes, B50 Superfortresses and B47 Stratojets! A true show of might, as each twelve airwing bomber formation, carries with it enough ordnance to level small cities off the face of the Earth.*

*But even these bombers pale in comparison to what comes next, colossal shadows rob the crowd of their voices. Speechless, the people observe as the colossal Peacemakers and Northrop Boomerang flying wings soar past at a frighteningly low altitude. Many feel the pressure of these titanic war machines as they fly-by, truly resembling alien weaponry from another world.*

*Last but not least, as SPG Howitzer and anti-air-artillery rumble past the procession stand, squadrons of H19 Chickasaws and the massive H23 Tandem-rotor helicopters (Predecessors of the CH47 Chinook) buzz across the skies toward the Washington Monument.*

*This would mark the end of the 4th of July Military Readiness Survey, though celebrations take place for a few more days after July 4th.*
