Started writing up a good long RP on MD2, and then just fell apart. Hope to do better during the next AOCAF (trying to summon up some muster for the WCoH, but here we are...)

Best of luck to everyone!

No worries, your mental health absolutely comes first. Hope to see you back soon!

Not to mention my idiot coworkers throwing in the towel on the pandemic, only to go hang out with one another, smoke joints, and then all catch covid from someone's wife who was with them >.<

Looks like I'm working 70hrs T.T

Also... was no one going to say anything about the new map layout?! Looks fantastic!

Thanks! It's been up for a few days now, sorry I didn't announce it. I'll be periodically updating it as map claims are made. I'll be gradually adding cities as well (and other things, surely), perhaps on an alternate map cause it might not be very aesthetic to have only a couple of nations with cities all over them initially.

Huh, I didn't notice the new map either.

Feel free to remove the 95X land claim. Since I RP'd that 95X existed inside a computer simulation, that simulation has ended. 95X, its buildings, locations, and inhabitants, all once existed (and some of them continue to exist; the Fourelevens, my self-insert, maybe a handful of others) but don't anymore. Also, no all the 95Xers didn't die, they were just part of the simulation. Should anybody have ever said that a character of theirs had connections to 95X in some way, of course they'd still exist. Whether or not the islands go back to being ancient ASMV or just uninhabited natural (or not) islands is up to the region.

Competition and other records? Yeah, of course they still stand and exist. Perhaps a palace elsewhere in the multiverse or beyond (under my control, obviously!) has something dedicated to 95X history, minus any long-expired yogurt.

Should I decide to RP 95X again I'll probably come up with something like Xi Foureleven 'claiming' a venue or location or whatever by flying a 95X flag there.

Needs more snowglobe

I'm quite literally unsure if you're joking or not. I mean, someone could claim "void where prohibited" but then that really makes no sense.

Definitely joking: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Westphall

Enjoy your retirement!

Oh, I've been as already gone as an Eagles song for months now. And it isn't a retirement as I haven't left NS (it's strange to think that I've been on NS since before some NSers parents had even met yet and I have no regrets of that fact) and I keep thinking of all the stuff I left unresolved.

Hey

My only problem with the new map is that the "ie" and "ei" are mixed up in my nation name and capital (fried and seif) Otherwise, looks pretty swank.

Also, I've kept this nation alive since I was 15 and I'm now 31, what the crap is time.

Signed up right after graduation in 2005... and here we are (18 -> 34) . It's amazing that NS is still a part of my life after all these years.

congrats to Audio for winning the toughest tournament in the multiverse not called the World Cup, commiserations to Chrom, who is building a serious contender based on the last two AOCAF's, congrats to Kry for Third Place, and commiserations to me, although I feel good having made my third semi-final in the last four tourneys. We might very well be bringing the Cup back to its rightful home in cycle 88. :)

We are at an unprecedented level of Parity (and Size) in the AOCAF Competition:
- There has been just one repeat winner in the past 12 editions of the AOCAF (11 Unique winners in the previous 12 editions).

- By Comparison, in the 12 editions prior to that there were 6 Unique Winners and,
- in the 12 editions prior to that just 4 unique nations won the AOCAF (Thanks largely to the dominance of Pacitalia who won 10 of 16 and Audioslavia who took 3 of the 6 that Pacitalia did not.

Additionally, over the previous 5 AOCAF's there have been 9 unique finalists (Out of 10 possible). Only Audioslavia (61, 63) has made the final twice. Stretching it out a little further you have to go back over 3 years to AOCAF 55 to find the last time that BOTH finalists were nations that have at any point since both made the Final (Chromatika, Valanora). Thats a total of 14 Unique Nations advancing to the final out of a possibly 16 over the last 8 editions of the tournament.

- Finally, the previous 5 AOCAF's each occupy spots 1-5 in the list of Number of posts/RPs in a tournament (With 62 by far the most, due to its size and format)

On the day that I could place a candle into a snack-"food" cupcake and say "happy ceremonial birthday" to my favorite RP character (just write the month and day in MM-DD numerical format), I'll mention that some IC believed the AOCAF to be more competitive than the World Cup.

Oh, and AOCAF 52 was to the competition as Action 52 was to NES games. What genius ran that brilliant idea anyhow? 😆

No arguments here...

Regarding RL events that may have contributed to my decision to step aside from NS Sports, please know that I have done some of my own research on certain topics and realized that some of my own perceptual filters were based on lies once widely held and believed accurate that have since been proven otherwise.

What's up folks! Damukuni here.

This was my former Emirates of Futurnia puppet, but my plan is to re-establish this as my tertiary nation, focusing mostly on non-football (i.e., non-soccer) events.

Tikariot coming through. Pyazhnaya is intended to be a mostly regional puppet for AOCAF and IFCF, but I'll also see, if I find the time to join anything else.

I've got a ~470 mile long, 5 mile wide strip across my northern border to sell the Republic of Buy A Vowel. If...The Price is Right. LOL

Just realised I never formally introduced this country to the region!

It's Tumbra here. Looking to participate in AOCAF, if I have the time and energy to keep up participation with more than Tumbra itself.
