I really wish you could select multiple options on that poll because I listen to pretty much a little bit of all of what is in the options.

What sort of things are you looking for? I am by no means an expert, but I've been slowly teaching myself how to make flags over the past couple years.

Also, here's a link to the forum thread for requesting flag designs, if you'd rather go there:

Things are good! How are things in The East Pacific on this fine day?

So, uh...why are we against requiring that member nations actually publish their laws?

Aelyria wrote:So, uh...why are we against requiring that member nations actually publish their laws?

We thought there were a few problems with the text that meant it would probably do more harm than good. For instance if a resolution instructed member states to “immediately destroy any stockpiles of chemical weapons”, the loose definition of vacatio legis would allow states to put off doing so indefinitely. And there are lots of reasons laws might need to be imposed immediately at the national level. We felt that passing the resolution would be taking power away from lawmakers and giving it to people looking to evade the law.

Thanks for doing that! It helps make Balder more powerful on the world stage, by giving the King a more powerful vote in the World Assembly, as well as making us more secure against invasion by enemy regions.

Heya Balder, any of you guys got any music recommendations for me?

Itori wrote:Heya Balder, any of you guys got any music recommendations for me?

Vienna Teng, Janelle Monae, Fitz and the Tantrums. Most of my listening is not stuff the average person would care for but those are all good.

Much appreciated. And actually I found someone else, but I appreciate that offer too. If I need any help in the future I'll consider you.

New solaurora wrote:What's with the Althing Runestone?

The Althing is the group of WA nations in Balder who support King North East Somerset and Crown Prince Onder Kelkia and participate in votes on new resolutions. We promote these nations in the Runestone because they make a hugely important contribution to our region by keeping us influential on the world stage.

New solaurora wrote:What's with the Althing Runestone?

In addition to The black leaves' entirely correct response: supporting the Delegate and Vice-Delegate helps protect Balder from invasion. High Influence is necessary for kicking a large group of invaders out of a region, and for preventing removal if invaders somehow manage to steal the Delegate seat. Since Delegate status is determined by raw total number of Endorsements, and Influence is gained as a function of total endorsements multiplied by time endorsed (up to a cap), any nation that endorses our Delegate is implicitly supporting the defense of Balder as a region even if they don't participate actively.
