I think its a joke.

Culof wrote:I think its a joke.

What makes you say that?

Conzequc wrote:What makes you say that?

Well, if I have to be technical, I have to say that its just a bunch of hypocrites. They made it so they don't need police, but it is apparent that they do, or did. I don't know if it still exists. If it does - how pathetic. Violence is a major problem there, businesses are being destroyed, people are in danger, and they can't remain stable, which proves no point to exist.

Conzequc wrote:OCC: I just want to start a discussion here if that's all cool. I wanted to ask how you guys felt about Chaz (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone)?

I think its just a spite for people to get what they want. I don't think they have an incentive or idea how much society depends on local law enforcement. They're juts a bunch of yippie liberals, wanting a free zone or 'safe space' to do drugs and do what they want to do.

Conzequc wrote:OCC: I just want to start a discussion here if that's all cool. I wanted to ask how you guys felt about Chaz (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone)?

If I had to explain my opinion in its most diluted form; I'd have to say it is a sign that people are softening up and its merely the first step to our society's downfall. If local law enforcement can't keep order, and if people can't just be civil, then civilization is doomed. There is a balance of powers for a reason, and people are ignoring that key law of civil code. It being called a progressive or racial movement is a fat lie, people saw disorder and toke advantage to it. Plan and simple. I say bring in the military and wipe out any dissenters.

Here are the details for the options in the poll above:

Isolationism - Your nation wishes to have no involvement with other countries in the general sense, primarily focusing on itself overall. You as a leader may appear paranoid or have a sense of mistrust with other foreign leaders or nationals.

Pacifism - Your nation has a passive idea on its diplomacy, foreign trade, and overall relations. You are primarily focused on building peaceful and friendly relations while withdrawing yourself from militant action and oppose war in general.

Domestic Focus - Your nation doesn't care for international policy or affairs, but rather wants to focus on its social issues or developments. Your nation isn't afraid to go to war, or have ambition intentions, but your people come first and right now it will remain that way.

Militant Ambition - Your nation is currently in the works on either updating or rebuilding your national military. Whether it is for defensive measures or not, your country is in the process of 'beefing' up all fields of your military; which may give you a passive-aggressive stance in foreign affairs. This may give you an idea to expand your sphere of influence, or maybe you just wish to have a defensive advantage to any possible invaders. Either way everyone is looking at you.

Economic/Trade Focus - Your country is primarily focused on either expanding your trade routes, or aiding its economy because of a recent recession, or because you have a sense that your economy could be better. This may include you loosening up economic regulations, or having the government itself invest in the economy. Whether or not you want foreign investments is purely up to you, unless a sense of nationalism fills your lungs.

Active Competition - Your country is ambitious on the international stage. Its focus is to compete with countries either around the world, or nearly with your neighbors. Regardless, your country wants to expand in any way, but you're facing some resistance along the way that you wish to rival against.

Stabilization - Your country was recently faced with some hardship, and right now you're focused on fixing that instability by any means necessary. You may be either inclined to working with other countries, or merely doing it on your own.

Sphere Preservation - Your country currently has a sphere of influence over more than one country, and right now your intending on preserving any influence you may have over a given geopolitical area of the region. However, you have no real intentions on expanding your stronghold.

I do not wish to tell - You have some sort of ambition that matches the other options, but you just don't want other countries to know.

After a length debate in Congress, a resolution was proposed in regards to what to do with the vaccines the country has developed. Vasnlia will officially be mandating all of its citizens to get vaccinated. Once all of its citizens have been vaccinated and confirmed, any surplus will be sold to clients internationally. The price of the vaccines will be set on a later date.

The infernal badlands

In response to the "Other" option for the poll; The Infernal Badlands has no central government, so there is no clear ambition. It is an utter wasteland filled with monsters, mutant hillbillies, and other hostile traits. It won't have any ambition for a very long time.

Poll Response:
I'm not telling my nation's ambitions. It would be unfair to myself to show my hand to the world. The ambitions that I want people to know and see are the ones I have made clear through public actions and displays. Whether these public ambitions are the true ambitions or just a facade is for me to know. Besides where's the fun in showing my hand like that? I prefer for there to be an ere of mystery about my overall ambitions. Besides I do love the scramble of others to try and react to my more unpredictable actions. But that's just the "Evil Emperor" part of me showing through I suppose. If I had to pick it would be secret option E) All of the above & None of the above.

Update on the "War of the Hills" - The Smell of Betrayal

As Sovern's military advances make progress in terms of stabilizing the country, officials are beginning to question Sovern's true intentions. Many of the legislatures and heads of houses have pledged their support over the presence of Sovern armed forces, while the Sultan has been acting shady and vague. He has begun distancing himself from the Sovern General, who was assigned to coordinate the forces aimed to destroy the rebels. Rumors have spread throughout the capital city that the Sultan may be a conspirator who was assigned by the Lemurians, however none of these statements have been proven. Despite these allegations, nothing has truly materialized. However, an important decision must be made by Sovern:

1. Remain loyal to the Sultan. (50% chance of a betrayal)

2. Side with the rebellion. (Triggers a catastrophic event in Uikastan)

3. Perform a pro-Sovern coup. (Creates an event-chain: "Modernization of Uikastan")

4. Withdraw from Uikastan. (Sparks a communist uprising)

Poll response

I’m probably somewhere in between 3

Like I want to expand but not aggressively
Required military service has been a Garneli law for ages so I feel safe about that but at the same time I feel like I need to improve the military itself so I can be renowned for military might and raw power

However i do still want to expand but invasion is out of the question, so I’m probably going to head towards the unexplored land in Barbaria if that’s even possible

TLDR: if I can expand on anything great if not don’t push or poke anyone and try to play nice with the other kids

General Alise Bendrah promptly came forth to the Sultan, with significant evidence that the Uikastani leader has been supporting the Lumerians during the time he's been in power - acting as a conspirator on behalf of Barbaria's enemies. After a held investigation into the affairs of the Sultan; Sovern has stated that with the accompanied evidence, Uikastan is an enemy to Barbaria and its respective members, and has establish a proper census belli against the pro-Sultan government. With no time wasted, Sovern's Congress declared war on Uikastan on the condition that its government be reformed under a pro-Barbarian regime. For support, the Federation of Sovern has assembled a coalition force with Hedra, Tritra, and the Greater viking empire.

Within an hour of the war declaration, Sovern aircraft can be seen bombing the capital city. The aircraft came from the stationed naval fleet that resided ten miles from the nation's coastal territory. Their position has sharply changed to advance inland to blockade their coasts. Uikastan's counter forces have been met hard on by Sovern's stationed ground forces, who were ordered to divide the country in half, in an attempt to limit their access to the resources from the East. A point of pressure was forcefully made to practically suffocate the country.

King Ragnar I. has ordered the 34th "Savage" fleet to reinforce Sovern's present naval forces. This was made to aid them in the blockade to prevent anything or anyone from leaving the country through any gaps in their patrol. The accompanied aircraft attached to the carrier will provide Sovern with any needed air-based support. However, the fleet is heavy and will take some time to get there.

Surprised by the sudden attack, the Sultan's Royal Army was bewildered and over-cumbered by Sovern's fast response and immediate advance. The aircraft successfully bombed a majority of the capital city, and with its ruins the people scramble - within the confusion the Royal Army hid in the crowd and used them as cover to advance as far out into the city as fast as possible to retaliate against the Sovern forces in the East. Attrition hit the soldiers hard and had lost a majority of its organization. Buffer zones were made to keep the Tala-Bajan Palace safe from any aircraft by building up a wall of anti-aircraft machinery and personnel. The Sultan was closely guarded to insure his survival. However, the attrition the central forces faced would bring on mutiny and disservice. The bombings have decreased moral in the soldiers and in the citizens faith in the Sultan. It has became such an extreme that the Royal Army has begun using their own civilians and lower-ranked soldiers as walls against the Soverns in an attempt to prevent them from advancing anymore Westward. A ravaged fight has broke out between the Uikastani Royal Army and the Sovern soldiers over the disturbed Eastern portion of the country. The Sultan is desperate in regaining Eastern Uikastan.

Reinforcements form Hedra quickly bubbled the ground forces in Uikastan's eastern advance, forcing them to retreat to the capital city. It was only a matter of time before it could fall.

"The Fall of the Sultan" - The Last Chapter

As the capital city slowly withered away from Sovern's bombings, and the reinforced bombardments from the Vikings; the soldiers that were guarding the city front retreated to the Sultan's residence. Hedran and Sovern ground forces have made their way to the very steps, before the Sultan was assassinated by Tritran snipers. The line of succession braved a new leader, Prince Valy-Aljhad XI. surrendered before the coalition forces. The Prince himself hosts a peace conference in his palace, awaiting the demands.

President Ion has set in his demands on behalf of Tritra:

- Uikastan is to withdraw trade with Velkisa and Culof. Thus re-directing all demands to be met by Tritra as a substitute.
- Uikastan is to dissolve any agreements, and withdraw any relations from Velkisa and Culof.
- Uikastan is mandated to direct 2% of its government revenue to Tritra's government for a period of fifty (50) years.
- Uikastan must import goods from Tritra's mining and arms manufacturing industries with no applicable taxes or tarrifs.

King Arthur Wolfgang I sends a representative to the conference to put the demands on the table. The representative bows to the prince and begins to talk. “Greetings your Highness, as you know I am here representing my nation and her demands so lets start. The Hedran government wants 30% of your mining industry and a harbour. This harbour will be built so Hedra can control the trade between the two nations, you will recognise Hedran authority over this harbour and will not apply and supervision or militarisation over it. If any harm is done to this property, the Hedran government will have full jurisdiction to apply legal actions against the one who damaged it. In exchange, Uikastan will import Hedran agricultural goods and dairy products and you will accept a 8% protective tariff for a period of 10 years. After the 10 years go by and Uikastan proved itself as a stable nation, free trade and proper diplomatic talk can take place.”

King Ragnar I. comes forth to the Prince. "On behalf of the Vikings, my demands are simple and to the point." he sneers, "You will bring forth to me three hundred women who will be the consorts for my men. You will grant me a harbor..." the King pauses, and looks around the chamber, and begins to self loath in a sinister chuckle, he pulls out his sword and aims it at the Prince. "...and you will abdicate yourself from your position, and become my eldest son's personal slave!" he orders. King Ragnar I. looks about the room and notices the Prince's wife, "Since you won't be a prince any longer, you will lend me your wife, and she will become my own consort. I don't have many, so I will treat her nicely!" he remarks.

"I give you this punishment to show the world I mean business. You will be the beacon of my power and a symbol of my wrath. May the remaining years of your life be filled with servitude and hardship. I do not trend lightly with my enemies. I ask so much because I gave so little to invade your pathetic country."
