Ugh! I have been spending too much time viewing the unfolding lava disaster in Lower Puna, Hawai'i

Hope all are well

Thank you! Although it doesn't look like I will be mayor for much longer.

In recent news the Lincoln Towing Co lost its licence to operate after the Illinois Commerce Commision pulled it. Steve goodman wrote this song about them some 50ish years ago. I took that long to shut them down due to the wonderful political climate here.

Oh well, maybe next year. My money is on the Red Sox this year- as it has been since the start of the season- but I'd place an outside bet on the Brewers too, as they look on form.

Hey Roxie hart, do you think that we'll be able to put an act together and perform on the vaudeville circuit?

Ha ha ha, anything is possible I guess Velma ;)

I've my costume. We could do "Me and My Shadow".

Beep beep! Congrats on being the featured region of the day! Oooh, Chicago, I spent a fair bit of time in Chicago, I worked for a Trib-owned paper for over 20 years. So who wants some cake?

Ah the newspaper business (ugh)

We're pretty sleepy here as RL is busy enough (But why not invite other Chicagoans here -- need not be summer doldrums

I came to Chicago from Montana when I received a scholarship to Northwestern and haven't left, save to return home to visit family occasionally.

Merry Christmas from our region to yours!

Tao the wanderer

Greetings from TAO. Just passing through on WalkAbout.

I once lived in Villa Park (Far West burbs) a few decades ago. My uncle lived in West Chicago until a few years ago -- across from the Kane County Cougars stadium. Fond memories.

A happier 2021 to everyone [I hope]

Believe it or not, I'm still here after a 18˝ inch snow fall.

Wow -- what weather indeed
(of course as of this writing -- spring has sprung?)

After the great melt-off and temperatures unseasonably high there is a promise of snow by next week. "If you don't like the weather in Chicago, stick around, it'll change."
