5 - Updates
All MECO members which had a Mutual Partnership prior to the establishment of MECO will have their partnership replaced.
In case a MECO member leaves, the Mutual Partnership is restored.

- REVOLUTION IN THE CONGO
Kinshasa
Following General Pascal’s broadcast announcing a successful coup d’état, pro-Kabila soldiers across the capital of Congo, stopped clashing with the forces of Colonel Mungala, Colonel Mvita & Colonel Tshamwe who were involved in the coup and controlled most of the city. Hundreds of thousands of city residents since came out onto the streets to celebrate the fall of the Kabila regime with stereos & free alcohol. Many have also raided police stations and attacked police officers or known Kabila supporters, dragging them out onto the streets and handing them to the army. Dozens of politicians attempting to flee Kinshasa have been caught and handed to the army. Colonel Mungala, Colonel Mvita & Colonel Tshamwe are reported to be in the Government Palace and other senior military officials have been summoned there.
Kisangani
In Congo’s 3rd largest city, the aftermath of the successful coup in Kinshasa led to thousands of residents attacking police officers and stations. Soldiers have pledged loyalty to General Pascal & helped civilians take guns from police stations and detain policemen & politicians. All the while, mass celebrations are taking place with bars offering free alcohol to all.
Goma
In this city on the Eastern edge of Congo, the official coup announcement has been met with immense joy. Many people have begun to raid police stations and take guns, using them to detain policemen and Kabila supporters. Prisons across the city have been stormed, with all prisoners freed. Most soldiers have pledged their loyalty to General Pascal while those that resist the coup have either been murdered or fled across the border to Rwanda. Rebel groups located on the outskirts of the city have pledged their loyalty to General Pascal also in hopes of gaining some form of authority for supporting the revolution.
Lubumbashi
Congo’s 2nd largest city and its most prosperous city located near copper & cobalt mines, has erupted into immense celebrations. Violent clashes between civilians and policemen resulted in soldiers intervening after the official coup announcement. They pledged their loyalty to General Pascal and arrested or executed police men. The Catholic Church declared its support & blessing for General Pascal’s revolution. Furthermore, many copper & cobalt miners who were on strike pledged their loyalty to General Pascal. Celebrations are set to take place here as well as in many other places around Congo. As for President Kabila’s location, it is unknown but rumour has it he is attempting to escape to Rwanda.
