Congratulations from the people of Isaris!

Vesica allegedly has the highest average incomes... as we don't believe in these things called "taxes" this is not surprising.

I'd like to lower the tax burden on my citizens but it's a real struggle at this point.

I've attempted raising taxes repeatedly... it claims we still have no income tax.. apparently we have a negative tax regime... we pay our citizens... and yet we still have money XD

No income tax, but what about sales tax? They are spending the money you give them somewhere, I imagine.

Top 10 percent of the world for most eco-friendly government. Not that's a ranking we here at Dandaman can get behind!

Haistinland cheers to that

Dandaman

It has been a very interesting week within the Dandaman statehouse. We were reclassified from Iron Fist Consumernists to Morralistic Democracy. Then with one of the more groundbreaking moves of are (slightly) progressive leader who despite having vowed to preserve are culture and identity while moving us forward has done what some critics say breaks that promise fully.

Slavery has now been outlawed in Dandaman.

Are strengthening economy has fallen now with some rise in civil rights as we were once again reclassified as an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy. While there are those cheering on these developments critics say the Leader will rue the day he began to destroy our fair nation.

Edit: We are back to Iron Fist Consumernists

*waves*

I don't even know if Vesicans understand the concept of taxes... I assume there is just "donations"... "compulsory" donations

Annnnd we are a Moralistic Democracy now.

Today in a monumental move that had several ministers outright assaulting him Julio Melody current leader and son of former leader and war hero George Melody has rewritten years of law and brought the electoral process back to Dandaman.

The people....don`t really know what to make of this yet...

It will be an interesting week.

Dandaman

annnnnd back to an inoffensive Centrist Democracy

Dandaman`s first-ever (and somewhat expedited) election process has been....intriguing. Julio Melody was born into the leadership as the son of the nation`s second most famed leader who had been executive minister to its most famed (and kinless) leader. Highly educated and raised in the luxury`s of leadership Julio (son of a war hero) spent his compulsory military term as an officer with a rather uneventful service record. The after years spent mainly in the diplomatic cores gaining a reputation as a shrewd and fair negotiator/mediator. After his father's sudden death, and upon taking control of the leadership he stuck mostly to tradition especially in terms of the nation's rich and beloved environment but slowly began sprinkling in various reforms and increasing global connections. This all came to a head recently first with his outlawing of slavery and then the announcement of the first elections in Dandaman since the revolution. Even establishing a state maternal leave program mid-election.

Which only then became fodder for Frank J Zapta....who through a democratic election and as of this morning is the new Leader of Dandaman. Portions of Zaptas service record have been redacted but most of it was spent in the military police. Once circulated out, Zapta became a domestic police officer going so far as deputy commissioner before leaving for greener pasture in various private security (and some defense contracting) firms eventually lobbying on these companies' behalfs. Zapta has been a vocal opponent of Melody`s reforms since the start and challenged him almost instantly. Campaigning on a platform of law, order, removing the nation from world affairs, returning to the "True culture" of the nation, and to have Julio arrested on charges of treason for "his work in dismantling Dandaman from the inside out". After his swearing-in, Zapta has kept good on the last promise and signed an official federal arrest warrant for the former leader. Which in a nation void of prisons and big on capital punishment...does not bode well for the former diplomat who reports say has just recently self surrounded on the grounds that "I wanted the people to unleash there will."

What lays ahead for Dandaman is uncertain.

It's quiet in here

Always has been.

Lmao

So... I looked at the statistic... the average income in Vesica is half a million per year, and the differences between the poorest and wealthiest is only 4 to 1...

I totally didn't expected this outcome:
