We are a fledgling democratic republic. Don't let the name fool you, we elect our leaders!
We believe in a socialistic ideal that guarantees liberty and economic opportunity while preventing the rise of capitalists.
Our poorest can hardly be considered impoverished, and our richest are barely upper middle class.
Our economy is... struggling. Decades of socialist mismanagement have lead to this. But, reforms are being brought to bear, and our economy is more fluid than it has been since the transition from the capitalist regime.
Our people are free. Freer than in most places on this globe, but not nearly as free as in some of your great states.
The question that is presented to our nation is, essentially: How do we guarantee more freedom without facilitating the rise of capitalists who will oppress the populace?
We do not have that answer as of yet.
