I watched the first moon landing with the man I later married. "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Was it?

The Moog is not dead! Long live the Moog!

Well, my Queen, there's always the Moon Landing Hoax. I find it hard to believe myself. Some people say it was all staged in Arizona, by Stanley Kubrick.
American people know this better than me.

It was actually “One small step for A man. One giant leap for mankind.”

Everyone apparently misheard that.

We are who we are. To be honest, I hated the '70s.
And you'll probably hate me for it, but I actually liked Disco.

The "70s" prepared me to join in the glorious "80s" (I really, really loved the "80s") and Disco is cool.

We have one in the area and the ol' boy that owns it only breaks even on money (sometimes loses money) but he does is for nostalgia. A lot of people around here was conceived there I'm sure.

How old do you think I am. Tell you if you're wrong later.

You are yes years old.

How old do you think I am anyway?

Everyone thinks I'm twenty! I am a couple years younger than that. Won't tell you my exact age because I'm paranoid.

I think you are exactly the same age as me, right down to the birth date,

I'm 36. Just inside the Millennial cut-off on that side.

I guess we all have our memory lanes, both generational and personal.
When I was 17!,
my deepest concern was the new Van Halen front man. Sammy Hagar, replacing David Lee Roth.

I certainly did. I like it better the way I heard it.

IMO what you heard doesn’t really make sense. It’s basically saying “One small step for ‘humanity’, one giant leap for ‘humanity’”.

It’s actually a good piece of fanfiction

I took the "man" thing as meaning the individual man.

Too bad Voxija and Central california republic are too young to have experienced drive-ins, the make-out havens of the world! And later on when you had young kids, and nobody wanted to baby-sit, you could put them to sleep in the back of the car and enjoy a double feature!

???????????????????????

I was born in 1967, and little did my parents know in then South Africa that that was the Year of the Fire Goat in the Chinese Zodiac.
People born under the sign of Fire can do great things in short periods of time. Gallantry and all that. Passion drives them. I broke my nose fighting. Went to sea for the sheer adventure.
But when they screw up, they destroy their lives entirely. And then they must be very careful not to be too judgemental about themselves. Their power turning on themselves ? Not a good idea.
