Evelyn and Brooke were keeping their distance from the vehicle the foreigners were on, as they followed them Brooke set the engines to stealth mode, so as the engines don't make too much noise, though this can put a lot of strain on the engines and ultimately make it explode if kept in stealth mode for too long.

Brooke: "Able to get a clear sight of them from the binocular." he says as Evelyn puts them on.

Evelyn: "Two humans it appears, no faction emblem on them to identify them, could be hostile, could be friendly, could be refugees."

Brooke: "Or yayo smugglers," he replies, "Right get the weapons ready and prepare to hijack them.

Evelyn: "Aye aye Brooke, aye aye." she says as she flips off her binoculars, and puts on a full face snow mask as well as Brooke did. She grabs a spear from her back along with a metal piece that had two slots for her arm to go through and attach to.

As they got near Brooke switched off stealth mode and the engine of their snow mobile finally roared as Brooke hit the gas, he also turned on the headlights, Evelyn turns on her spears power along with the shield, having a forcefield glow purple through the metallic structure revealing a hexagonal pattern.

Brooke: "STOP RIGHT THERE HUMANS!" He shouts as they raced towards the front of the vehicle. Evelyn seemed to be trying to stand on the snow mobile as it zoomed across the snowy hellscape. Kicking snow off the tracks. She was trying to leap onto the other vehicle though if she were to do that she would be dependent on her abilities to quickly grab onto the other vehicle as she no longer was dependent upon the speed of the snowmobile.

Riko and Takao continued to trudge through the snow. There was a certain atmosphere that Riko had felt. She couldnt tell exactly what it was, but it didnt feel quite normal to be in the area anymore. Riko looked at Takao to make sure that she was ok. Takao seemed quite cheery for a planet that was a literal snow-globe with temperatures that would kill ones soul.

"Suppose we do find life here. Do you think it will look like us? Or will it even speak out language?" Riko said somewhat nonchalantly.

"If they dont speak our language, odds are that will not be able to decipher it, especially if it contains no elements of the celestial languages of Earth. However on the off chance that it is a language I know, or it has enough elements of the various languages of Earth, i may be able to be of some assistance." Takao replied.

Riko and Takao continued to drive along the snowy tundra. Riko and Takao heard some shouting. Shouting that was not their own voices, and then observed a craft that was not their own. As it approached, Riko slammed the breaks on the Half-track-esque snowmobile, causing it to slide across and partially bury itself in the snow. Both girls watched as a female humanoid with foxlike ears leaped from the craft towards them. Riko prepared herself, as did Takao.

Markos starts talking rapidly, and gives brief summaries of Manzikert, the Kommenoi, the disastrous 4th Crusade and the ensuing wars, the reclamation of Constantinople, the rise of the Ottomans, the many sieges of Constantinople throughout the Renaissance and Early Modern Period, the reclamation of Anatolia following WW1, Byzantine Victory in WW2, participation in the Cold War, remaining neutral during WW3, and finally, getting to the period of Byzantine Space Colonization and the modern day.

"So, what do you think?" He says, finishing his glass.

“Your nation has quite the history, no doubt about it. Not many nations have that same fear it seems.” She finished what she believed was her fifth glass...was it her fifth?

Ventus Prime wrote:“Mhm, do not worry, I’m able to stay in the air for hours if needed. As long as you’re okay being up this high.” She had to admit, she was kind of enjoying this herself.

"I'll be fine... I think. Maybe I am afraid of heights after all, but being carried by someone I trust does help make it less scary. Heh... I should've just said I was scared from the start, though."

“From how tight you’re holding on, I can see,” Penny said. “Do not worry, I can descend slowly.” She started doing that the closer they got to their apartment.

"Yeah, I guess so."
As he moves on to his 6th glass, Markos is really starting to feel the pinch.
"Man, this is definitely not healthy for the either of us." He says.

“Don’t you still have to report to your superior? I understand if you had to stop.”

"No, after the third drink I messaged him and I said I'd do double duty tomorrow. So we're good."

“Double duty on a hangover? You’re a bold one...” She then offered her glass.

"Perhaps I am." He fills the glass once more, and hands it back to her.

Ventus Prime wrote:“From how tight you’re holding on, I can see,” Penny said. “Do not worry, I can descend slowly.” She started doing that the closer they got to their apartment.

Heidrun laughed nervously.

"Yeah, I am holding on pretty tight, huh? You don't mind, right? Not that it matters much whether you mind or not, since we're already up here..."

She was thankful for the slow descent as they got close to their apartment, and despite the fear, she was starting to relax.

“I suppose it’s time for me to tell you stories of my own,” Adlez said as she took a sip. “Ever seen a Lynel?”

“I don’t mind, it’s actually kind of nice to be held...do you still have the feeling of touch?”

Ventus Prime wrote:“I suppose it’s time for me to tell you stories of my own,” Adlez said as she took a sip. “Ever seen a Lynel?”

"Nope." Markos says. "I haven't even heard of one."

Ryanius wrote:"Nope." Markos says. "I haven't even heard of one."

“Alright. Think four-legged, like a horse, but the upper body of a humanoid with a long mane, big horns and big teeth. Lynels are extremely intelligent and extremely dangerous. Taking on one is dangerous, taking on three is a death sentence. I unfortunately had to take on two at once one time...”

Ventus Prime wrote:“I don’t mind, it’s actually kind of nice to be held...do you still have the feeling of touch?”

"Yep, I do, and I'm inclined to agree with you. It's why people hug each other, for example. It's a sign that you trust the other person enough to get so close to them, and it's a sign that the other person trusts you enough to let you into their personal space in such a way. It's a vulnerable position, and willingly putting yourself in it shows a pretty deep bond, whether platonic or romantic.

...at least that's how I see it. Maybe we should just leave it at "feels nice"."

"Yeesh. How'd it go?"

Penny stayed quiet until they reached their apartment. “I realize tonight probably didn’t go quite like you expected but...I hope it was still enjoyable...”

Ryanius wrote:"Yeesh. How'd it go?"

“I should also mention they can carry weaponry, such as sword and shield or a bow. The archer ones are the worst, especially if they have electric arrows. As for me, I won’t lie I took a few hits but I managed to slay both of them.”

"Nice. They kind of sound like Centaurs back on earth. They're a fantasy creature with the lower body of a horse and the upper body of a man, and they can use weapons."

“Interesting...at least your version of them don’t pack quite a punch.” She remembered the first time she had encountered one it had broken a couple of her ribs. Had it not been for the armor she had been wearing, she probably wouldn’t be walking right now.

"Yep. Besides, they don't exist, so.."

Ryanius wrote:"Yep. Besides, they don't exist, so.."

“Anyway, surely you want to call it quits now, no?”

Ventus Prime wrote:“Anyway, surely you want to call it quits now, no?”

"Maybe, it's a double duty tommorow, after all. You want to call it a draw?"

Ryanius wrote:"Maybe, it's a double duty tommorow, after all. You want to call it a draw?"

“Fine, but only because I took pity on you.” She finishes her glass. “Probably shouldn’t be flying in this state anyway.”

Ventus Prime wrote:Penny stayed quiet until they reached their apartment. “I realize tonight probably didn’t go quite like you expected but...I hope it was still enjoyable...”

Heidrun nodded happily.

"Oh, don't worry, it was. Sure, things got more dicey than we expected, but it was definitely fun! And besides..."

She suddenly pulls the money she got from the bet at the arcade out from her pocket, waving it around with a smug smirk on her face.

"It was totally worth it."
