I am as clueless as you are. Regarding trouble, yes, Picts/ Sudweca is synonymous with trouble for the region.

The coups were like a stab in the back. That's why people remember it vividly .It's not that anyone fears you or something now. It is just an event now but people do remember bad dreams.
As a gameplayer , looking back, those were exciting times for me.

Not exactly. There are many good smaller regions. It depends on the commitment of the members and the age of the leadership. CoC is a old region and now most of the older members are here for nostalgia, rather than any roleplay or gameplay.
We need younger members who will be motivated to take the pains. Only then the region will thrive.
Did somebody say nostalgia?

Belhorizon, where are you now? Definitely employed in some multinational? Are you in Lebanon or Canada?
Surprise, surprise!!
Lemmingtopias, we are still trudging along. No govt, but still keeping the flag fluttering somehow!
Sure, we do it together!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Picts had approached me for re entry into the CoC and wanted a lift of the ban to his movement.
Here is the text of his TG:
Heya,
Since nostalgia seems to be the theme at the moment, and you’ve not booted out my alias “Sudweca” yet, to which I am thankful, maybe it’s time to lift the ban that has been placed on me these last 4 years.
I’d like to return Picts to the region.
I think we can all agree I have not posed any kind of threat, if I ever actually did in the first place, in years, and if anything, have been great bogeyman and one of your most experienced participants. The future is of course young and new members, but that still needs us older nostalgic lot too.
Can we turn the page?
While he has betrayed our trust and forgiveness thrice in the past, I am still not willing to take the decision myself, as he has been punished already, and there is no elected govt. to take the call.
So I am putting up a poll to the effect so that the region can decide.
A year away from my M.D, then I can leave Beirut.
Until then, stuck here waiting for the next explosion!

Forgive my recent inactivity, but I do not support lifting the ban. I believe we have been down this road enough time to have learned a permanent lesson.
Osberg-thitania, Borduriaa, and Norengland
I do agree with Neru.
But before casting my vote I would like to hear from Helladria, Vetega and Norengland, whom I have always looked upto.

Sudweca, Houthia, Saudia, The state of nareik.
All left the region willingly as they could see the writing on the wall.
All were puppets of Picts and have left the region together as they had entered. As the Court ruling of the past was to ban all puppets of Picts, I am hereby going ahead with the ban.In case the popular vote going on now pardons him, them I / anyone with banjection powers will unban him.
For the record: not knowing these nations or the circumstances of the past, I abstain :)
I've been toying with the idea of allowing Picts to openly remain within the region, on the basis that if he is in the open, he may be observed more closely and might be better prevented from getting into trouble by infiltrating the region with another puppet. Of course, that line of thought always returns to an expectation of puppetry, the threat of which is not eliminated by this stance.
However, permitting an open presence on the grounds of his cooperation does grant us a marginal improvement in our ability to manage the potential for puppetry if membership standards are stringently adhered to. Regardless of how the choice on movement plays out, I think Osberg-Thitania's ostensible decision not to remove the ban on holding office is wise.
