It's applying it and also getting people to open up and come over so that you can identify said things. Lots of disorders or other things can come from vastly different causes, and have some different symptoms or elements, but for the most part, they end up in a similar place.

Sorry for the spiel. When I want to say something, I don't exactly have a huge filter if it's not going to lead to anything negative deriving from the words themselves.

Oh no don't apologise, that's very insightful. Just reading what Jason Fox has to say about his time is pretty hard hitting but it also opens up a view into the minds of a probably large amount of people who have experienced similar trauma but will not speak up. It's very sobering.

I'd guess that it would be sobering. Hopefully that, among other things, leads to more people taking mental health seriously.

Its disheartening hearing many people still dismiss some mental issues as fake or a need for people, particularly men, to just "toughen up" in regards to emotional trauma or mental issues. It seems to be the older generation that hold these views though so perhaps the future isn't too bleak.

Yeah, younger people to my knowledge don't hold those views nearly as much. But it depends on what we're defining as young, as we both know the stereotypical Karen is still there.

Yo Prussiankaiseriech, I'm going to need some help with reentering the RP. I have an idea for it, but nothing too concrete.

ELECTION 2020
Hi everyone, I'd really appreciate your vote for me as the World Assembly Secretary-General page=election

I am running as a Moderate, Centrist candidate and was really hoping you could turn out to show NationStates that candidates that aim to bring people together have a strong voice and promote sensible policy, multilateralism & peace. If the Regional Leadership are behind me, I'd really appreciate a regional boost and endorsement :)

ELECTION ROUND 2
Thanks to everyone in TDOU who supported me in the 1st round - I really appreciate it! As a result, I was able to place 12th and forge a viable candidacy!

Round 2 is open so I'd appreciate your vote! page=election

If you have any questions, be sure to let me know - I don't have the $$$ for mass telegrams, nor do I want to annoy people like that. I believe we really can do this with a grassroots, GCR campaign and I need your support - if you have contacts in other regions, spreading the word and getting 'Regional Boosting' there would be very much appreciated.

With thanks,
Ecclestia

We, Region Name, are supporting Kuriko for Secretary-General because he is giving the power back to the people. He is ending the General Assembly's dominance over every nation and sending that mass power to the nations of NationStates. He is defending the rights of the people and that is what Region Name stands for. He is not leftist and unlike other candidates, he doesn't only focus on the rights of the LGBTQ community. I'm not saying we don't support that, it's just that that is the only thing they focus on. He is opening up the Security Council to every type of nation you can think of, so please, vote Kuriko!

Hey there embassymates,

I notice you have a lot of candidates vying for your support. Mind if I enter the mix?

Bohseon wants to make the World Assembly more interesting and fun by removing the influence of The North Pacific and its delegate McMasterdonia (who has around 10-15% of the votes in the World Assembly all to himself!). Learn more about him here:

Well, isn't electing a new WA SecGen fun? I mean, look at all the cool candidates! "Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls"? "Kuriko"? "McMasterdonia"? "Jocospor"? "Valentine Z"? Hey -- I know at least one of these people, and I bet you do too.

We've all heard of these people before! They won the popularity contest, good for them. They're in powerful places, good for them. But why should someone popular become in charge of all of us?

Historically, popular people are terrible leaders! People that try to make you feel good by voting for them are terrible leaders. One of the best examples of this is Winston Churchill, who led a nation to victory despite being very unpopular within his own party. Do you want to blindly support a Neville Chamberlain, a leader popular in Britain but also responsible for the betrayal of the Czechs and Slovaks? Or do you want to support a Winston Churchill, an unpopular but extremely effective leader?

Bohseon is, in a way, Winston Churchill but better. He is well loved by many, including nations in the Augustin Alliance, a group of some of the most effective User-Created Regions (UCRs, as in legitimate people creating a region) in NS history! Bohseon has also been my friend for a good eight months now, and shows dedication to NationStates through his approximate four years of playing the game!

Bohseon understands fun. I played N-Day 4 with him. He wants people to enjoy the game, not suffer grave injustices from it. Do other, more popular candidates want you to enjoy the game, or do they just want to take advantage of your voting power for their success? Just something to think about.

Bohseon is running on a campaign for destroying The North Pacific, the largest region in the game. This is not a funny joke, it is a tool for ending off the oppression of the largest region in the game and its current delegate, McMasterdonia. The North Pacific's delegacy currently holds about 10% of the voting power in the ENTIRE WA. Over 1000 WA members are required to match McMasterdonia's voting power. By destroying The North Pacific, UCRs would be able to gain some more control over the World Assembly.

But Bohseon will not only keep NS fun and give power to the people. Bohseon also understands what you, the plebians, all want. You all deserve to be heard and you all deserve to have the best WA SecGen you can find. That SecGen won't be found with bribery -- they'll be found by seeking the best. That won't be as easy as just clicking the election page and clicking on whoever is on the top of the ballot -- you have to put in the effort.

Stop voting for appeasers. Vote for Bohseon.

By the way, if this post inspired you to change your vote, feel free to change your nation title to "Boh is Bro -- Vote Bohseon," a campaign slogan I made up. Spread the word wherever you can (following rules on advertisement, of course). Free the WA members around you from ignorance and oppression they didn't choose to be in. Everyone's vote is important. Remember that.

This message was brought to you by The greater low countries, Co-Founder and WA Delegate of The Clover Confederation, longtime Augustin Alliance acquaintance, and friend of all fellow plebians. It has been approved by its promoted candidate, The Ol' Nuclear of Bohseon.
