Thousands of reports have been swarming San Sierran media, and these reports are countless investigations set up by federal police, which most are classified as unlawful and "tyrannic". People have started to theorize that the federal government of San Sierra is investigating for people aligned with the former terrorist group and now legal party Frente del Pueblo Unido, and that the government is soon going to classify them as a terrorist organization once again after a car bomb was detonated in a parking lot near a plaza. The person responsible isn't found yet.

And because of an investigation ending up in beat-ups of innocent civilians, people have started to protest in the streets of Santa Defensa, demanding to end the investigations and defund the police. Some groups are forming circles around foreign embassies in the city, attempting to ruin San Sierra's international reputation.

Sorry if crap >.<

Copper wakes up a little before the alarm clock and sighs, stretching extravagantly. He looks at his sister for a moment and decides to give her those few extra minutes of sleep; neither one of them had slept well through the night. They'd adjusted pretty well to the sounds of Santa Defensa by now (motors, so many motors, that unsettling nothing every hour where a church bell should chime) . . . but this had been far noisier than usual. Lots of shouting and running around. To the little dragon, it had also been psychically noisy: hope, anger, clandestine excitement, fear, a sense of righteousness, on and on. He'd assumed some malcontent youth were running around painting anti-neko slogans on things again, and some other youth were sneaking along after them to clean it up . . . again. But that nonsense hardly ever goes on past daybreak.

Reflecting that he needs a cup of dragongrass before dealing with this sh#t, Copper pads out of the sleeping room and down the hall.

"Copper?" Douglas' voice is fast, nearly silent and full of urgency. "What do you sense outside?"

Too much. Give me a minute . . . Copper closes his eyes and tries to build up a picture of the outside of the embassy. People. About . . . twenty to thirty people, I think. And they're . . . hmm. They're . . . protesting? Something? By intimidating us? It's rather confusing.

Douglas sighs loudly, looking like he'd rather bark until the 'intruders' ran away. "Great. Just great. I'll make a huge pot of soup and some savoury biscuits. Wake up Silvina, would you? I haven't figured out how to run this fancy coffee maker yet."

To the outside world, it looks like no one in the embassy has noticed there's anything unusual going on. It does, however, soon start to smell delicious.

In the Reichskammer the Chief of Naval Operations and Admiral, Silvester Anatol, sat on his chair in his office, the air conditioner spewing cold air, this reminded him of when his grandfather took the young Anatol to the Kurikian capital of Moscow in early December, at the age of 13 he witnessed the great building of the Kremlin, he remembered it dearly and as a Kurikian when he thought about the building he felt a sense of pride.

He opened his table's drawer and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. He started writing a letter to Dermont about bolstering relations with the Kurikian state.

"From the Chief of Naval Operations, Silvester Moritz Anatol

Dear, President

I'm sorry if I interrupted you but I have a suggestion, if we may have a respected military we need strong allies. I have thought of a nation who might help us, Kurikia. Kurikia is a large nation with a large army and navy, if we were to attack a nation who would help us achieve such task? San Sierra, of course not, Ostaria, although we may be "German" I don't think the current government is too keen in helping us. I chose Kurikia as I believe they have the same goal as us, to be respected. If you accept my proposal then we would have strong and capable friends you could say.

Sincerely, Silvester Moritz"

He stood up, left his office and told a soldier to give it to the president's adjutant.

I was scared that you were going to call out stuff in my post lol.

While the Brethren embassy is cooking breakfast as they are being bothered by the outside mess, one protester outside waves an anarchist flag while some of his friends clash with the city's police. Rioters are tearing down some parts of the streets and using wrecked bricks to throw at police aligned cars nearby, even spraying anti-government slogans in the floors and walls nearby the embassy.

Soon, units of riot control arrive, with batons, tear gas guns and riot shields with the word Policía marked. They are about 10 to 15, and then, one of them speak out to rioters with a speaker, with the following Sanctish translation:

Attention, protesters. In the name of the law: Riots, vandalism and destruction of property is not tolerated here nor anywhere in the state. If you wish to continue protesting, cease from committing illegal actions and at least do it peacefully, if you continue those actions, we won't have a choice but to do this the hard way.

After the speech, a water cannon truck is close to arrive in case the riot control police units don't work. Back in the protest, the speech didn't work, protesters have begun chanting words like "smash the state" and others alike.

In the embassy of Brethren, a text from the girl Varela, who likes to come around daily or weekly, arrives, saying that she can't go today due to public unrest.

No.. I had no idea what the movie was about either.

I was just coming up with ideas about entropy and wrote a treatment I read out to Tech yesterday

I just presented it to other writer friends and they told me I was imagining Nolan's Tenet

I knew Nolan had a movie coming out and was excited.. I just had no idea it was about time looping

I got carried away and will probably continue doing so, but please don't feel pressured to match the length of my posts. Also I've been itching to show off this particular Empty Hand quirk for a long long time so YAY

An elaborately carved wooden staff pushes open the embassy door and floats out, like a bodyguard or perhaps a hand held out to ward off blows; Silvina follows it with a massive tray of biscuits in her hands (and Copper on her veiled head). After her comes Douglas, with another massive tray -- this one holds coffee pots, teapots, cream, sugar, cloth napkins, stacks of mugs and so on.

Copper speaks to the protesters, as his silent 'voice' will be clearer than a shout in the noise. Hello and blessings. We come in peace; we only want to talk, and offer you food, and perhaps have you stop throwing bricks at us. We have hot drinks and biscuits, and stew in the embassy if you want something more substantial. It's all vegan and nut-free, and there's a separate tray of gluten-free biscuits that we've been very careful not to contaminate. Please, sit down and eat and let's talk. Throughout his speech, Silvina's staff whizzes around the Brethren, shielding them from thrown objects. Particularly observant people may notice the nun flinching slightly when the staff is hit.

Anyway, rest in peace, Nova-columbia, monarch of Valsora, may your lands be plenty, and may your citizens grow without no government in peace.

Bless the Copper.

During Copper's speech, rioters nearby the Embassy have silenced in order to hear him. Most of them settle down and agree to sit down and eat, while few disagreed and continued riots, only to be shut up by calm protesters and two units of riot control police. Calm protesters have formed a line to the embassy.

The riot control leader approaches Copper, and removes his helmet. - "Thank you." - He expressed his gratitude for calming down protesters.

Copper dips his head, and Silvina bows slightly (Douglas does not as he's trying not to spill hot liquids on himself). Only doing our jobs. The dragon's voice is calm, yes, but there's an undercurrent of stress in it and Douglas' tail is tucked between his legs.

"One moment please." Silvina and Douglas set their trays down carefully and scurry back into the embassy for the stew (and some bowls and spoons and a table to put the food on); Copper sits by the food telling people to please bring back the mugs and napkins when they're done. Silvina's staff leans innocuously against the wall.

As the now calm protesters are in line of foond, they promise to bring back the mugs and napkins. Riot control police exit the area to attempt to take down protesters in other areas and embassies.

. . . oh f#ck. Copper takes off and flies after the police like a little metallic dove. Just invite them back here okay? There's no need to be violent. There might not be enough food to go around but there's fellowship and -- and stuff like that. Please.

Meanwhile, back by the Brethren embassy, Douglas and Silvina set up a folding table with stew, drinks, bowls, two kinds of biscuits, spoons, etc., figuring it will be much more hygienic than leaving the food items on the ground. The table creaks and groans a bit.
