You basically get to make countries, focus trees, and events.
Everything else you have to actually go into the game and mod it using that.

Alright, so.
Trying to compile a list of Valsoran species into a HOI4 event isn't working.
So I'm making a factbook to link to it instead.

Who the hell voted for the SC proposal?

Aivintis wrote:Who the hell voted for the SC proposal?

Someone who didn't read the content of the resolution, obviously

Peatiktist wrote:No idea what that means.
But I need to get back to writing the lore events for the HOI4 Valsora mod.

Google translate for Bat and man in german.

90 people! 2 of them from here.

Yeah for some reason it doesn’t translate einer back to man oddly.

Rage mage wrote:Yeah for some reason it doesn’t translate einer back to man oddly.

Probably because google translate is horrible.

But look at this factbook and judge how it looks so far.
Because listing species doesn't work in HOI4 events, so I need to be able to link it.

A brief opening

Valsora is the only planet within the Suliasystem that is proven capable of supporting life. And that it does. There are a multitude of intelligent species upon Valsora besides base humans.
The sapient nonhumans on Valsora can be categorized into two groups: Humanoid and Other. The 'Other' group is not actually a proper species group in the typical sense. Instead, it is a group containing all species who cannot be classified as humanoid

Humanoids

All humanoids are essentially humans with various animal traits. These species are all naturally evolved from humans and include;
  • Nekos (Homo-felis), a hybrid with cats. Notable features include cat ears, and great night vision. Occasionally they will also be born with cat tails. They can be quite mischievous at times. And at all costs, avoid being near them during springtime.

  • Kitsunes (Homo-vulpes), a hybrid with foxes that typically have large fox ears and multiple bushy tails. Believed to be the earliest species to evolve from humans, they are great diplomats and better deceivers.

  • Alcynus (Homo-lupus), a relatively new species which has not yet been given a common name by scientists. As would be implied, they are a hybrid with dogs resulting in large floppy ears and incredible hearing. Naturally aggressive, they would make great soldiers if their aggression can be properly directed.

  • Divine Dragons (Homo-christodae), an incredible species. While at one point they are believed to have ruled the earth, only two of them remain in the modern day. Their appearance is that of a human body with dragon wings and a tail. They possess god-like powers, and each of the remaining has their own cult following. They are one of the few beings who can control magic, and often bestow gifts of magic control to their followers. Unfortunately, as these dragons age, a degree of madness follows. And the remaining two are quite old.

Please note that Homo-lupis is not a finalized scientific name

"Other"
The "Other" category groups any species who do not share a basic physical form with humans. These species include;
  • AI, or 'Automated Intelligence' as they call themselves are an artificially manufactured species first created by humans to be cheap labor. Since then, some countries have recognized their intelligence as constituting a sapient species, and considered them as equals. While many do not appear like humans, some who were originally used as diplomats do have a human like form.

  • Dragons (Draconia-bestiadae), a physically imposing, winged species who tend to be concentrated in small groups. While myths may talk of them being able to breathe elements and speak human language, these are not true. Some dragons do however have telepathic abilities, which allow them to communicate with other species.

  • River Serpents,

  • Fortiscarabs (Xandarella-sacer),

  • Terrors (Plasmodium-unilateralis), and isolated parasite upon the Valentian island. While their intelligence is questionable, at times they do exhibit enough human-like traits to be temporarily considered sapient. The parasite itself is not capable of surviving in the open air. Instead, it inhabits the corpses of various species, typically humans (although they are occasionally found in dragon corpses). They attach themselves to the brain stem of these bodies and control the body through electric shocks to the nervous system. Depending on the progress of decomposition, they may not always have a full range of movement.

Please note that all scientific names for the "Other" group are not finalized

Shouldn't it be Homo-Canis instead of Homo-Lupis?

Peatiktist and Aldenbourg

Terreich und Preussen wrote:Shouldn't it be Homo-Canis instead of Homo-Lupis?

Canis is the Genus for all canine species; wolves, coyotes, and jackals.
Since dog-hybrid is referring to the wolf species (though specifically the dog subspecies), it would use their species name. lupus.
