Breaking News: Quantum Supremacy Project leaders declare victory as Quantum Computer protoypes are successful in tests
As of today, July 23, 2030, the Quantum Supremacy Project headed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Defense along with the country's top information and communication technology industry corporations state that 'Kianhua has achieved Quantum Supremacy' as they reveal in a press conference the first working prototype of a quantum computer the size of a regular pc. It's capabilities were shown to the public. Though a small unit, the computer can simulate basic quantum physics, the behaviors of atoms, and even some small scale molecular biology simulations. The project spokespersons said that these capabilities were the best it can do, but it was big progress. In fact, the representative of the Ministry of Defense says that they are planning to use this to gain an advantage in information warfare. Details weren't stated.
Overall, this leap of progress didn't just appeal to scientists and large corporations, but including videogame developers. When asked how can these computers be used by the public, the AEC Systems Corp Representative said that they had plans to make quantum computers for gaming servers in order to hand more players and bring bigger room for fleshing out the realism of multiplayer games. When asked about when personal quantum computers can be made available to the public, Ministry of Science and Technology Minister Dae-jun Choe said that the public can't really see mass production of personal quantum computers in 15 or 20 years because the cost is too high due to the materials and research required, as well as the risk of using quantum computers to destroy encryption. He said "It's like fighting with an armor and a gun versus an insurgent with a rocket launcher on flat terrain 100 meters away from each other," saying that without a form of 'quantum encryption' that can be made cheap for a personal quantum computer, it is too risky for anyone to have one until the encrytion problem is solved.
When asked what they will use the quantum computers for, they said they will use it to improve the government's file processing, file keeping, and file making processes as well as the information the government keeps. Quantum computers will also be used by the Ministry of Health for it's pharmaceutical labs. They said that they will limit purchasing it as these computers are terribly expensive. A square meter of a supercomputer would have the same cost as one unit 1 m wide, 1 m long, and 2 meters tall.

Over 50 Aslough citizens marched through the empty square, towards the center, where a large pile of dry wood and brush lay, with dozens of wooden stakes tied to it. Around a dozen armed guards kept watch, wearing thin plate armor and conical helms, and bearing loaded crossbows. Two guards led the infected to the pyre, the rest stood in a circle around the square. Ever vigilant, that was the motto of the Aslough Guard.
One prisoner tried to run, nearly tripping over the loose cobblestone. The guards calmly aimed and fired. Six crossbow bolts pierced the victim's throat, chest, legs, and arms. Surely dead. After the fire, they would burn the body. In the mean time, they had work to do.
Most of the infected citizens were sobbing, some were facing their death stoically. All were praying. The two guards tied them to the stakes, one by one, until there were two or three people tied to each. They were still sobbing as a guard threw a torch into the center of the pyre. The blaze spread quickly, burning through their torn clothes and flesh. The guards on the front lines raised small, round shields to cover their faces.
When the fire died down, the last body was thrown in and the pyre was lit again. Their body wasn't purified in life, however, dooming them to hell. The guards left the pyre while it still burnt, to join the search for the remaining infected.
