Lately? Mostly City of Angels by Arrows to Athens I suppose, but I really just let my spotify play on shuffle so there's nothing really set. It's just I've put City of Angels on repeat quite a few times.

Decided to make some memes about some of my current RPs.

City of Angels? Name reminds me of the Fallout 1 soundtrack ''City of Lost Angels'', which was inspired from Aphex Twin - Grass. That said, I listened to that song as well, and yeah, they are quite different - City of Angels is more ''happier'', while City of Lost Angels rather sounds bleak.

Soul King? Where I have heard that before, khm... Are you Monsters and humans, by any case?

Ahh, I see. Welcome again, then! I knew, that you would return one day. I didn't even thought, that it was you at first, tbh.

I been here for a while, but I guess you didn't see my return message which is fine ^^ and I'm doing good so far just been roleplaying here and doing F7 stuff.

Yeah. I don't check the region often, not even talking about posting, so I could have easily missed that, as it was more than 200 days ago. And, I have mostly been wandering in F7 too - that's the reason, why I don't participate much in RPs there. I have gone a long road in terms of factbook quality, after I first RPed with you as one of my puppets more than a year ago. I have stopped making them, but only because I have moved most of the worldbuilding to F&NI, and that the space of my current factbooks has been mostly used, and I keep hitting character limit. Adding a new factbook for a website template is also a bit of a hassle.

Well its good to see you are improving! And it is wonderful to see you again

Aeritai wrote:"Yes, we must hurry before-" As soon as Future Sabi began speaking Nano interrupted her.

"No don't worry about me... You need to stop those Demon Witches before they open their realm." Nano said.

This shocked Kali, Aylote, and Erkin surprised their long time friend said something like this.

"Mom no I don't want to lose you in this timeline..." Future Sabi said as she got down one knee.

"You won't lose me you still have future me right?" Nano asked as she slowly raised her hand up to wipe Future Sabi's tears away as she nodded

"Tell Future me she did a great job raising you... Know my future self is doing alright makes me feel at rest now. As for you Flaz, Kali, Aylote, and Erkin just because I'll be going away soon doesn't mean you need to stop training, but seeing how all now at full power? Heh I don't think Demigra will not be prepared for you, so make sure you give him a lesson... To never mess with Earth's Forces."

Nano's eyes soon closed as she shut down from her broken systems finally the Android can now rest.

Seeing his dear friend flicker away before him, and then seeing their entire life here up until this point, Flaz buckled and struck the floor with his fist "D-Dammit... If only I was faster." It was then that his mind drifted to the current Sabi in this timeline, she was still a little girl. "If no one minds... I'd like to raise Sabi in Nano's stead. We need to get training before the demons come back... Cause not one more person is dying here. I refuse to lose anyone else in my family."

Thanks! Website template really makes everything look cooler, lol. Not sure, if I will participate in RPs in there anymore, though. I haven't been in International Incidents for a veery long time as well...

"Agreed." Future Sabi said.

"It would seem those Demon Witches are getting smarter... In my timeline they never sent a hitman after us before."

Me too I stopped going there with my puppets ever since International RPs are mostly reigon only or sign-ups.

Indeed. And in a lot of them, there are those FFT nations, which could roflstomp any army you have with ease. So... Yeah, F7's more casual.

Ayeeeee welcome back!

Hello! I am Rebels and Saints (you can call me R&S), Officer of Consulate Affairs at Liberalia. I am here to convey Liberalia's thankfulness that you formed an embassy and hope that this is the beginning of a long, positive friendship.

Eaglenest

September 16th, 4998- The day the Samuel Mason, recently deemed Highlord of the Vampiric Nation, first met Duncan Cross of the Zoconian Templar Order. Despite their opposing stances in this world, and an uneasy first meeting, they went on to become quick friends. But that's not what this is about. This is a retelling of how Sam came to be one of the exceedingly rare exceptions to the rule, one that excludes those whom are not an Original or member of the Ancients council from being a Highlord in the secretive Vampiric Nation.

Ördögház, located in the vampiric capital Amaurat and home to the Council of the Ancients. Sam kneels at the center of 9 podium thrones shaped in an arch before him, one for each of the acting Ancients, all currently involved in a meeting to decide Sam's fate.

"Had you been anyone else, you would have been killed on the spot for suggesting such a thing.....Patriarch Samuel." States a middle-aged man, nearly spitting out Sam's title as if disgusted that he holds even that much authority. Now he sits requesting more than most could ever even receive in the first place.

"Need I remind you, Highlord Kain, that I endorsed him in the first place?" Calls back the soft voice of 30 something year old woman from the other side of the podium's, speaking up in Sam's defense. "While true it is he who first vocalized his desire to be deemed a Highlord, it is I who actually endorsed his decision and put his name forth. Now, shall you act your age or your appearance so we can conduct this appropriately?" Kain grunts under his breath in annoyance and leans back in his seat, silencing himself after noticing no one else on the Council seemed to be agreeing with him. At best they were neutral.

"Good, now then-" Amelia looks forward to Sam and stands straight, looking down to him directly as he bows his head. "I, Queen Amelia of the Vampiric Nation and member of the Council of the Ancients, endorser of the very purpose of gathering, now grant Patriarch Samuel permission to state his plea within the privacy of this Council as to why he's worthy of a title exclusive to the ever few...you may rise."

Sam dips his head just slightly lower, as if acknowledging what he has been told, and calmly rises to stand perfectly straight up. As he does so he locks eyes with Amelia first who sits back down, as Sam then pans his gaze gradually across the room while speaking. "All of you know who I am, though this would be the first time many of us have met. It is an honor to stand before this council today and an even greater honor to be so much as considered for that which I ask of you to grant me. As you know I am quite the figure within the Vampiric Nation in my own right. Nearly all vampires know of me and my name. Ever since the Blood Wars that ultimately led to the formation of this very Council I have, in my own way, been fighting for the betterment of vampiric kind. While an actual measurement is impossible to obtain, if I may be so bold as to claim this, I believe it is possible that I may have done more acts for the betterment of the Vampiric Nation than any of its other members...outside this Council of course. My only intention is creating a world where all vampires can live within this Sector without persecution or worry for who or what we are, so that we may all prosper as a race, but as a Patriarch my power is limited. As a Highlord, if you were to grant me such a title, I would be able to even more effectively act for the betterment of the Vampiric Nation."

With that last sentence Sam lowers his head into a bow, then calmly goes back down to one knee. Upon doing so his plea is completed, and now is time for the debate between himself and the Ancients. First to speak is Highlord Liam, standing and speaking as neutral as he can. "Patriarch Samuel, over the years we have received one hundred four thousand, four hundred and ninety three reports that you have acted on your own to kill a fellow vampire. This does not account for the likely countless more incidents that somehow never got reported as murdered by your hand. The only reason punishment has not been pursued against you in the past is because all of those you are known to have killed were shall we say, problem children, who were already under consideration by this very Council to be criminally pursued. Seeing as how you are here now, and are asking so much of us, it is imperative we address this now...so please, tell us Patriarch Samuel, what were the guiding reasons of such actions?"

Liam stays standing and Sam stays kneeling, keeping his head down as he speaks calmly and matter-of-factly to respond to the question asked of him. "Each of the vampires I have killed I have done so by my own sense of judgement, all in the interests of protecting the Vampiric Nation in some way. Some that I killed I did so because they were claiming too many human lives in too short a time, risking exposing our kind to the humans and causing a second Blood War. Others I found to have killed their fellow vampire in cold blood, without just cause. And some still I found guilty of siring humans that were far too young to be made a vampire. The reasons vary, but they are all there, I can assure you. Whether or not they were on your list, however, I am afraid is purely coincidental."

"So you mean to say you took it upon yourself to serve as judge, jury, and executioner without the expressed permission of a superior?"

"Yes, Highlord Liam."

"And with such a bloody, unsanctioned past you now ask for the highest authority possible for this Council to grant, deeming you to be our near equal?"

"If the honorable Council of the Ancients deems me worthy of such an honor....then yes, Highlord Liam." Liam looks around to the other Ancients, gauging their reactions and expressions, with many of them seeming hesitant on the matter, before sitting back down as Amelia now takes stand again. At the same moment she shot up Kain looked like he was about to stand, but Amelia beat him to it so he rests back down.

"Patriarch Samuel, you acted quite possibly against the Will of this Council in killing so many vampires without permission, criminals or not. You understand this correct?"

"Yes I do, Queen Amelia." Sam remains kneeling, unflinching and as stone faced as he can.

"But would it be accurate to also claim that you did so realizing how much of an immediate threat to the sanctity of the Vampiric Nation such vampires, and were concerned that by the time more political matters were taken care of it would be too late? So you, using the very power and authority granted to you by those above your standing, decided to act in the safest way you knew how and quietly silenced such threats to prevent such escalation?"

Head angled down in a way that no one can see, least of all the Ancients high up before him, Sam smiles slightly at the corner of his mouth. "It would be accurate to say this, Queen Amelia."

Amelia smirks and looks around just as Liam did, to see the now teetering thoughts of her fellow Ancients, as Kain now suddenly shoots to his feet. This action means Amelia is by default done speaking, since he technically did not interrupt her, as an angry vein is now visible on his forehead. "So then, Patriarch Samuel, you admit to having effectively committed a minimum of 104,493 crimes?!"

Still remaining on his knee Sam quickly calls back, but remains calm in tone. "Yes, but----"

"YOU WERE NOT GRANTED PERMISSION TO SPEAK! That question was not meant to be answered, as you have already answered it twice!" Kain's face is now turning red with anger as he yells, which is totally unneeded considering the sense of hearing that everyone present has. "After committing so many crimes, atrocities, against your fellow vampire, how dare you think you could come before THIS Council and request such a thing of us! We should see your head mounted on a wooden spike, not placed upon an alter of reverence!"

Lilith, another of the Ancients, suddenly stands. "Kain, that's quite enough! This is a civil meeting, so please----!"

She is immediately cut off as Kain against raises her voice. "Surely you are aware that cutting off a member of this Council is the same as issuing a challenge to combat, even coming from a fellow Ancient...!Does that mean you are willing to fight me in a duel?!"

Lilith immediately recoils at the idea of fighting Kain and sits down promptly. Other Ancients fumble in their seats wanting to speak up or otherwise calm Kain down, but they all fear of being forced into a fight with him. Unfortunately it is not abnormal for him to bully the Council into getting his way, on account of him being the strongest member...but rarely has it ever been to this degree. ”As I thought....Now, I motion to make this a hearing for Patriarch Samuel’s criminal sentencing! The statements made here today have made it clear that he not only has no business being moved to a higher position of power, but that he should be charged as the criminal he is!”

”N----” Without thinking and enraged by Kain’s outburst, Amelia pops from her seat, having gone as far as to have entered an anger induced Blood Rage. At first all attention turns to her but immediately it shifts back to the floor as all Ancients stand, shocked.

”I may not have followed the laws, but everything I did I did for a reason, Kain.” Sam calls out, spitting out Kain’s name in a way very similar to how his own name had been spat out earlier. A deep scowl stretched across Sam’s face which is returned in kind by the strongest Ancient, ensuring that all attention is drawn away from Amelia and on to him. Amelia quietly sits back down, realizing what very well may have happened...Sam definitely just saved her from acting in a way she would have regretted.

”Earlier you spoke without permission, now you not only speak again, but you rise before us all and you DARE to question ME?!” Kain leans into his words, as if trying to intimidate Sam into backing down.

But Sam does no such thing. His expression remains the same, taking a step forward towards Kain. ”I do. This Council is meant to be democratic, so that no one vampire rules our kind. And yet here you are making them fear you to get your way. If that’s how things are gonna be, you may as well be the only Ancient.”

Kain’s anger partially subsides as a thought pops into his head to make Sam shut up and act in his place. He smirks and puffs out his chest, standing as straight as he can. ”So, does this mean you are willing to challenge me…..?!”

Without hesitation and without shifting stance or gaze, Sam bluntly responds. ”Yes. I am.”

The vein on Kain’s forehead grows and twitches as his smirk shifts into a grimace. He turns his head upwards to emphasize the degree at which he is looking down on Sam ”You will die, Samuel....”

”You’d have to beat me first….”

”That can be arranged...thirty minutes. The Colosseum. I will just have to act as judge, jury, and executioner as you did for so many of our kind.”

”Stop pretending you care about any of those murderers...”

”Thirty minutes Samuel….” Kain turns around sharply, heading down the steps directly behind his podium and out of sight. The other Ancients all sit there in silent awe at what they had just witnessed but Sam is simply standing there, continuing to stare at where Kain was. Fixated.

After some moments go by Sam turns to leave the chamber, prompting the Ancients to all get up and depart for the Colosseum, all except for Amelia who suddenly appears in front of Sam, visibly worried and trying not to freak out. She is much more informal now that the formalities of the gathering are all but dead. ”Are you inSANE Sam?!”

”Says the one who was about to accidentally challenge him. If I didn’t stand and call him out myself he would’ve tried to rope you into a duel instead, and you probably wouldn’t have been able to back down from it either considering he just mentioned the law to Lilith.”

”No, Sam, you don’t get it! Kain is powerful, he WILL kill you! He’s not exactly the merciful type, and killing is fully permitted in duels!”

”I’m stronger than the Nation knows, he won’t even be a warm up. I’ll be fine. Besides, better me than you either way.” Sam tries to gently brush Amelia aside and walk past her but she stands her ground against his slight nudge.

”What do you stand to gain out of this?”

”Well, I’ll become a Highlord, and Kain will learn a lesson. Besides this duel is only happening because you were about to open your mouth, you should be mad at yourself not me.”

”Kain was about to motion for your execution and no one was going to be able to argue, I had to say something!”

”Well, if that passed I would've just challenged him to a duel then instead, and the outcome would’ve been the same. So I guess you shouldn’t be mad at anyone. Now please, just calm down and trust me.”Amelia gives up and lets herself get brushed aside as Sam walks out of the chamber, seemingly disappearing while waiting for the duel to start.

When people begin to notice Kain waiting in the Colosseum, word travels fast. The strongest vampire in the Vampiric Nation is going to be engaging in a duel, and everyone is going to want to see it.

"Who's the poor guy who has to fight him?"

"You think they challenged him on purpose? I mean, who could be that dumb."

"What do you think the fight is about? Must be pretty serious if they're willing to die fighting over it."

"I can't believe someone actually challenged an Ancient, the last time this happened was over a thousand years ago!"

"Rumor has it Kain is in an entirely different league from all the other Ancients, uses his strength to always get his way cause the others don't want to fight him. Can't wait to see if there's any truth to that."

"I heard they were having a meeting today, guess one of the Ancients finally had enough to Kain trying to scare them. Ancient versus Ancient, wow...that's gonna be something."

Even among vampires of great age, gossip and rumor still run rampant. As time goes by more and more spectators begin to pile into the Colosseum to watch, no one entirely sure as to when this duel is even going to take place or who it is against. Then, finally, Sam calmly walks out into the main arena. Everyone quiets down as they realize someone is walking out to face Kain, naturally the challenger. Though only a few recognize the man walking out as none other than Samuel Mason, everyone present can recognize the name...and that name spreads like wild fire as soon as the first person utters it. Sam reaches the center of the Colosseum to face Kain down, who in turn simply coldly speaks. "Good to see I won't be wasting my time on a total nobody...at least people ran recognize who you are as you die."

"I'll remember those words when you're forced to agree that I'll be made a Highlord because I beat you here."

This claim did not go unnoticed by the enhanced senses of the spectators. Immediately a plethora of jeers and cheers alike start erupting, the full picture of what's going on now becoming clear to all that are present. While specifics may not be known, what is known is that Kain is facing off against Samuel Mason, who himself is also highly regarded as being incredibly powerful, to decide whether the latter will be made a Highlord or killed for the trouble.

Now this should be entertaining, I can't wait to see Kain get his butt whooped

The two combatants stand mere feet away from each other, staring each other down with the utmost intensity. The onlooking audience is silently watching on bated breath, afraid that if they even blink they will miss the titanic fight before them. Feeling as if an eternity is passing neither one is throwing the first strike, that is until finally Sam takes his swing.

A furious right hook flies to Kain's cheekbone, but he rather calmly reaches his hand to the side and stops the punch right before it makes contact. Just this casual, opening strike was already faster than what most of the spectators present could really perceive, despite all of their advanced ages and high generations. Sam promptly opens his fist and takes hold of Kain's block hand, pulling him towards him as he reaches out with a left elbow. Kain pulls back, stopping himself from being pulled in and pulls up his free hand to catch the elbow aimed at him. With a twist of his left hand he frees it from Sam's hold and pushes back against Sam's elbow to knock him off balance so he can land an easy counter strike. Sam regains his balance and raises a hand to block the incoming straight punch aimed for his sternum---

When it connects with Sam's hand, things go down hill fast, Sam's eyes shooting wide open in shock and unexpected pain. Sam's hand and wrist are twisted and turned out of the way immediately, breaking on the spot as the punch continues its path and shatters much of Sam's rib cage. He is thrown backwards from the punch and comes to a barreling stop half way across the Colosseum as Kain simply smugly stands there. Sam is face down in the first as he starts to push himself up with his unbroken hand, stopping for a moment to cough up blood then getting back to his feet. His expression turns more serious as he jerks his shattered hand once, all the bones shifting back in place as they heal on the spot. He then takes a deep breath which allows for similar healing of his chest cavity. While doing this Kain simply stands there, un-amused, and Sam quickly thinks to himself. Always heard the guy was strong but that was ridiculous...no way should he be able to hit that hard. Guess I'll have to get a little serious after all.

Sam closes his eyes and rolls his neck thoroughly, giving it two rotations and plenty of cracking sounds. When he stops to look forward his eyes are now a piercing red, with an intent to kill so clear it's almost palpable. To the sight of most present Sam vanishes as he moves in to attack Kain, sending out a flurry of high speed punches and kicks. Sam is certainly outpacing him in this exchange and landing a fair amount of hits, and yet- I'm not hurting him at all....!

Suddenly Sam's fist is caught and a sudden forward shift of Kain's body breaks Sam's arm at the elbow as a knee is shoved into Sam's gut. Pushing him away Kain then halfheartedly punches Sam once across the cheekbone at a slight downward angle, spiking him into the ground and grinding against the dirt for several feet. "Okay..." Sam takes a calming breath, getting to his feet as his broken arm, shattered face, and ruptured organs all heal up. Under Sam's mouth are a few lines of blood from coughing even more up. "Now you're really pissing me off."

"You have no idea what you've gotten yourself into, wretch." Kain retorts. He continues to stand there, totally uninterested in this entire situation. It's clear that he isn't even remotely exerting himself and is simply toying with Sam before fulfilling his desire to execute him personally.

Sam lightly laughs under his breath for a few moments before coldly responding. "Neither do you." As he says this the ground under Sam's feet suddenly cracks and shatters, as if a massive rock had just been dropped on that spot.

"Hmph...so is that aura then? I must say I'm unimpressed...."

"You'll come around." Immediately Sam is in Kain's face who, admittedly, is surprised by Sam's sudden speed increase. Kain moves his hands to block but is too late, as Sam had a speed advantage even before tapping in to his aura. An upper cut angled directly into Kain's gut strikes true, lifting him off the ground during the follow through as Sam kicks himself off the ground after him. He spins to the side to make his heel connect with Kain's cheekbone and send him back into the ground. Sam falls back down and wastes no time in dashing forward to the dust cloud that has formed around where Kain landed but, just as he reaches the clouds an unexpected fist reaches through and hits Sam directly in the jaw, sending him backwards yet again.

The cloud clears and Kain stand, calmly dusting himself off with a now somewhat eager smile on his face. He spits out a bit of blood from his mouth and wipes away what's under it, but seems otherwise completely fine. Meanwhile Sam gets half way up, still on his hands and knees, looking to Kain as he thinks to himself. What the hell is going on...?! He's not even using Blood Rage or anything. I'm trying not to kill him but damn...how am I supposed to avoid that when he's somehow this tough?

"Stronger than you expected, aren't I....?"

Sam's eyes widen for a moment, realizing he was spending way too much time thinking to himself. He gets back to his feet and stares at Kain, wiping the blood from his mouth as well. "To put it simply...yes. Much stronger."

The audience is left stunned at what they are witnessing. Although none of them can feel the attacks already thrown themselves, they are all experienced enough that they can almost see how strong they are. Any single one of the strikes thrown thus far already would've been enough to put any of those present down for the count, yet these two...these two are monsters by comparison. Kain bellows out towards Sam, holding out his arms on either side. "Then I guess you're just going to have to stop holding back and actually exert yourself. Who knows, maybe you'll make me do the same."

Kain smiles coyly as a collective gasp is released from the spectators. While true neither of them seemed to be going all out yet by any means, the idea of neither of them having really even tried yet...?

Sam's frown deepens at Kain's suggestion but, as a visible cloak of aura begins to swirl around him, it's made clear Sam is indeed going to start taking this completely serious. The ground cracks and buckles more under the pressure of Sam's aura as it is being released before the natural blue hue of it suddenly changes, turning red and shattering the ground around him for several yards in every direction. I just have to be careful not to go too hard and accidentally kill him...even if the rules allow it, the political outrage if I killed an Ancient would not go well for me....dammit. If only I could just kill him and be done with this! Sam's eyes dilate as they turn a slightly different shade of red from his Blood Rage, his muscle tone increases and raw mass slims out slightly to over all make him thinner as his skin tone develops a slight tan hue. Then, suddenly, the now red cloak around him seems to release explosive force. Electrical sparks discharge all around the cloak as it waves through the air like a fire in the wind. If I just go all out he won't be able to hurt me, then I'll just have to pull my punches until I find his upper limit. It'll be easier on me this way rather than going through the motions.

"Are you quite done?" Kain stands relatively un-phased by Sam's unexpected transformation, though the entire audience is absolutely stunned. This would be the first time the Vampiric Nation has publicly gotten even a glimpse of Sam's actual power.

"Yeah, I'd say so. I don't know how or why you're so strong, but I'll crush you just the same once I find your limit."

"Sorry to break it to you Samuel, but-" Kain's eyes turn red as his iris shifts, entering the enhanced Blood Rage at will...a truly rare ability for any vampire that isn't an Original. "-I don't have a limit."

"How are you actually hurting me?!"

"How are YOU not dead?!"

An exasperated exchange between the two men echoes through the arena, as Kain is surprised Sam is strong enough to cause such damage to him while Sam himself has no idea how Kain is still able to take more hits.

Both sides are bloodied and their nice, formal renaissance inspired suits are completely torn apart with ripped up pants and long gone shirts/jackets. Both stand breathing heavily, exhaustion beginning to take a toll on both of them, but Kain's performance seems to be dropping more than Sam's is. "I'm becoming hungry...I have you to blame for this!"

Realizing he's gaining the upper hand, Sam decides to throw out a little quip with a cocky smirk. "I would say 'eat me', but you might actually try to. Hungry and all."

Lashing out in a growing rage Kain moves in on Sam who dodges to the side on the opening hit, but is able to see that the incoming punch was merely a feint at the last moment. He pulls his arm in tight to his side to block the low knee moving to his kidney and winces as he makes contact with his bound up arm. In retaliation Sam swings his arm outward, pushing back the knee he was just struck by and forcing Kain off balance. Immediately Sam moves for a roundhouse kick but Kain moves into the off balance fall allowing him to dodge the kick. He reaches out to grab Sam's leg and pulls towards him, flipping Sam up and over, then with fangs extended bites hard into Sam's calf and takes him up on the offer. Sam's eyes widen at the unexpected pain and kicks with all his might, launching Kain off his leg but not before losing a chunk the size of a soft ball out of it. Kain crashes into the wall of the Colosseum and begins to laugh as he swallows Sam's tissues, while Sam himself places his hand over the wound and heals it quickly with focused aura. Sam stands up at the same time Kain does and prepares to lunge and continue the assault, but his eyes go wide as he hears what Kain bellows out through his laughing. "I must say Samuel, there really is something about you that makes your meat a much better charge than any humans!"

"....what did you just say...?" Sam remains where he is, hoping he is misinterpreting what he just heard.

"I just took a single chunk from your leg and feel as if I just ate an entire human!"

"....you....EAT...people....?! You don't just drink from them, you EAT. Them?!" Sam's pupil starts to twist and turn, his welling up anger turning to the enhanced blood rage as a scowl possesses his expression.

"Oh yes, of course. I became so fixated on killing you I had forgotten just why I hated you so much." Kain muses, as he begins moving his joints and cracking his bones to get his body back into place and allowing his broken body to actually heal. How he began moving before fixing his body is incredible, even for a vampire. "You care more about humans than you do your fellow vampire...humans are nothing more than food to us. It's how I fuel my unique ability- Metabolized strength conversion. I can store and convert the nutrients and calories I consume into raw strength at will. Turns out blood just doesn't quite cut it for something like that, but humans are already part of our natural diet. It's only natural that I eat them instead of just drinking their blood and throwing away a perfect good lump of meat!"

"I always knew you were about as anti-human as it got....but never, not once...-" Sam's eyes lock with Kain's as the latter continues calmly walking towards him in a way that is almost gloating. "-did I think you were a complete monster." In a mad dash Sam charges Kain to raises his arms to grab him by the shoulders to stop him. Though he stops him for a moment, his strength begins to fail due to depleting energy reserves and he is thrown backwards into the ground. Sam Sam reaches forward, placing his entire hand over Kain's face. He starts wildly slamming Kain into the ground in his anger, no longer holding back. A crater quickly forms and grows with every slam into the ground, blood splattering everywhere as Kain's back is torn open. After several seconds of this and a crater large enough to comfortably nest a house Sam stops and takes a step back, then leans in to try and plunge his hand into Kain's chest to rip out his heart. Kain, however, manages to still take hold of Sam's hand and stop it from piercing him.

Nails slowly digging deeper as his strength fails, he leans forward and lets a nail dig deep enough to poke his heart, but in return he takes a chunk out of Sam's forearm. Sam swings his arm to the side and throws Kain clear out of the crater, promptly healing his arm with his aura. Sam clambers up the slopes just in time to see Kain stumbling to his feet, his healing factor getting a kick start thanks to the chunk he took from Sam."If I'm a monster, then what does that make you...? Able to so easily and viciously attack a fellow vampire, and over what? Needing to eat?" Kain almost falls over, catching himself, taking a moment to breath before continuing. "The future of the Vampiric Nation demands that we accept humans are not friends. They are not to be lived with. They are to be raised as cattle. Livestock. Food, that's all they are to us and we shouldn't try to act any different!"

Sam again dashes at Kain, but Kain is able to react in time to move to the side and take hold of Sam's arm, getting behind him in an arm bar. Using the leverage he has to put emphasis on his strength he pulls, breaking Sam's arm and leaning in to try to take another bite out of him. Sam jumps up and flips onto his back, making Kain land first to release his grip on him, then rolling away as his broken arm heals back together. Sam stands and is about to move in to try and kill Kain again, but manages to stop himself when he has a brief moment of remembering what this is all about in the first place. He backs out of his lunge and stands back up straight, talking down to Kain who now hardly has the strength to get back up. "You're running out of strength Kain...if your strength relies on you having stored up energy, then when you use up all that stored energy you're weaker than a fledgling." Sam reverts back to his normal state, letting out a breath of relief as he relaxes himself. "You lose, Kain. A drawn out fight is your worst enemy, but you decided to toy with me early on because you didn't think I could be a threat to you. Fact is, if you just tried ending it as quickly as possible....well, you should've killed me when you had the chance." He picks up Kain by the throat with one hand and places his other hand where he nearly pierced his chest. "Remember that the only reason you are alive past this day is because I spared your life, when I wanted nothing more than to kill you. And take special care to remember this exact moment when you are lawfully forced to concede in deeming me a Highlord."

Sam callously drops Kain and walks away as the Colosseum now erupts in a combination of shock, dismay, excitement, and even fear. Even the Ancients are taken aback by this display, as each of them were certain that Sam was going to be killed. They above all others knew how powerful Kain is, or rather they had an idea of how strong he could become...but no one knew the true extent of Sam's limits. Not only that but while everyone in Amaurat knew Kain ate humans, everyone had just assumed he hated them. No one knew it was tied to his unique ability, and now that all of Amaurat knows word will spread like the plague. As a result of this event the Vampiric Nation officially learned of the true extent of Sam's power, how dangerous this "aura" that most vampires never cared about could actually become, and more importantly Sam began to be colloquially associated with a new (unofficial) title- The Ancient Without a Seat.

OOC: Hope you liked it. As per usual it's not as good as I had hoped I'd be able to make it while typing, but that's cause I'm never able to write things out near as good as I have them in my head. If only I could animate :P Alas, that post was not about the fight, but a demonstration of just how strong Kain actually is. Bringing justice to Kain's long established unique ability, in light of Putnam's recently revealed character with a speed based counterpart. While the fight was largely skipped over, and ended in Sam more or less dominating, Sam was effectively at his peak of raw physical might. Not only was Kain able to still take hits, he was also still able to dish them out and hurt Sam, evident by the damage on both sides. Assuming he had enough energy stored he would have been able to defeat and kill even Sam, but he underestimated Sam and let the fight drag on too long, thus burning up too much of his stored reserves.
