Over the protestations of religious minorities, Iranian public and private schools will from the new academic year in September be obligated to provide free pads and tampons to students with no questions asked. Comprehensive sex education is also included in the package, being championed by the Prime Minister as the liberation of women, from birth. Most opposition to the law (The Women's Rights Act 2022) has been confined to rebellious Liberal Democratic Senators after newly elected Opposition Leader Ebrahim Yazdi allowed a conscience vote on the matter in his caucus and voted for it himself. The Act also enumerates public funding for abortion services in the first two trimesters, affordable contraception and releases billions in federal dollars for rural education programs. After the 100BY30 goal set by Xavier Torezah was met 8.5 years early, pundits have wondered what ambitious goal the Prime Minister would set for Iran going forward. 100BY30 refers to the 100% Water, Electricity, Broadband and Sanitation target set in 2008 by then-Prime Minister Xavier Torezah. It appears the Prime Minister will be addressing early education. Her yet-to-be released plan to address educational differences between rich and poor provinces has received cautious praise from both sides of the aisle, the Kurdish Labor Party which is an affiliate to the National Labor Party has applauded the plan which is rumored to redistribute tax dollars raised in wealthy Tehran to less fortunate Kurdistan and others. The full target will be established in the next few weeks by Cabinet.
In other news, the latest opinion polls continue to spell danger for the Prime Minister. Her popularity may be undeniable, but the cracks in it have become apparent. While she is still comfortably ahead on 53 to 47 in two-party preferred terms; and she retains a strong 60-40 lead in preferred Prime Minister, she has seen both metrics fall as the all-crucial Provincial Elections approach. Pundits have already begun drawing up likely scenarios, of the 42 Provinces, 29 are facing elections this year. Of those 29, National Labor is in government (majority or minority) in 23 of them. Of those 23, Tehran, Esfahan, Nineveh, Baghdad, Damascus and Tashkent provinces. Each feature Labor Governments seeking reelection to a third, not a second, term. A loss won't necessarily mean 2026 is a shoe-in for Yazdi's Liberal Democrats, but it will depend on where. In Tehran, the Provincial Lib Dems are hoping to topple key Northern seats, as Tehran has gained in wealth so too have its once working class northerners who may be less inclined to support the Tehran Labor Party for a third term if they stomach some change. In Esfahan, Baghdad and Tashkent the Liberal Democrats will seek to topple substantial margins to form provincial government and are framing their races in a provincial manner, attempting to avoid being drawn in on a larger national fight which Labor believes it has won and would win again. Nineveh and Damascus are where Labor is concerned. Their win in 2014 was as minority government, and in 2018 both Provinces awarded Labor with small majorities, as a backlash to the then embattled Howard Talqanasi. Now, with a popular party leader, Liberal Democrats are hopeful that they can convert Yazdi's appeal to moderates into a win. National Labor is also watching with caution, Nineveh and Damascus both mark strong bounds of strength for National MPs who are jittery over possible gains. In Damascus where there are 10 metropolitan seats, and three rural/regional seats for the outskirts of the province, Labor won 9 of 10 metro seats and one rural seat. Four of those were gains in 2021. A loss would spell warning signs in Avasarala's majority, which while substantial, is not immune to defeat. In Nineveh, Mosul which consists of roughly a million residents only has two seats, going into 2021 there was one Labor seat and one Lib Dem while its six regional seats were all Lib Dem. However, Labor won all seats in the province bar one regional seat which it still attained a 19 point swing. Nineveh is also where Labor increased its Senate standing from 2/6 to 4/6, hence this province will be the most important barometer come the May elections.

Following a lack of response from Das nazi regime and Osmer, Jamie Stone has decided to look towards less conventional nations to build relations with. He invites representatives from The Colombian Republic of Etheinia, The USSR of Cherlia, The People's Republic of Poland of Horizon 22 and The Republic of Altis Stratis and Malden to London. In which they will hopefully discuss security and economic matters.
Wahat about me?
"In return for this service, I ask for a partnership between our nations: for the service we provide, I request protection in return. Of the military kind, of course. As for betrayal, well - I suppose a promise won't be enough for that. Instead, to prove that my word is truth...my daughter will travel and stay with you until the deed is done. With that, you have leverage, and I trust that you will treat her kindly."
You aint on the map so I dont know where you are!
"She will be treated according to how she acts. If she resists our benefactors then certain... procedure may be taken. Though I doubt our benefactors will demand anything... your daughter would simply be a blimp on their radar.. so she will remain here... with me, in this very room until the deed is done.", Drakorn says with a monotone voice as he gave a neutral stare towards Marino.
"Don't worry though King... I'm not some 3rd world creep, I simply do my duty."

"Hello? This is chancellor Weiss, I must speak to the Cherlian leader immediately."
"Well, if it must be done like that, so be it. I am proposing the establishment of a DMZ to prevent our two realms from colliding and inevitably bringing down the other. Or...perhaps something more beneficial can be arranged..."
"Perpetual...war. Both of our nations require a common enemy to point our fingers at and say 'He's the bad guy', so why not organize an... understanding between our two governments? Perhaps we form a Eurasian supercontinent to enforce our world order worldwide. Through clandestine cooperation, my top advisors assure me that as the Eurasian supercontinent, we'd both have more resources at our disposal to pursue...international interests."
Peter Leclerq is sent to London.
A delegate is sent to represent the Jamahiriya at the meeting.
Production of arms at the Muharib Complex has been ramped up again, with the facility expanding its manufacturing capabilities. The factory has begun producing artillery pieces and AA guns, and is now producing a series of blast-resistant, minimum-metal landmines based off of old Valsella designs. 250 new T-72s have been built, while 300 existing units have been upgraded with ERA. An additional 500 T-55s are being upgraded to the “Enigma” model standard, being fitted with applique composite armour, smoke dischargers, laser rangefinders, and new fire control computers.
Meanwhile, the engineering division has begun building prototypes for its LGB project, fitting several Mirage F1s with laser designators for testing purposes. The bomb performs well in trials and is expected to enter production soon. A retrofit kit to convert “dumb bombs” into LGBs is also being developed. In addition, an indigenous ECM/jammer pod is being developed using foreign parts.
