Good Morning House!

For today's breakfast I got creative and have prepared a Cheesy Sausage and Croissant Casserole, Socially Acceptable Bacon, Skillet Fried Potatoes, Buttermilk Biscuits, Sweet Potato and Snickerdoodle Donut Hole Muffins, and Fruit Salad.

There is also Coffee, Tea, and Me (my warm hugs) to warm you up, as well as various juices and milk. There are Mimosas for anyone who would like one.

Bon Appetit!

Very ambitious. I would like to try the casserole: it sounds great!

I would also like a hug. It's a great day for a hug, but then again, ANY day is a great day for a hug.

Thank you.

I think I will also have some biscuits and a nice cup of tea :)

A shadow continues to toss sticks into the water, waiting to see which gets to the other side first. Suddenly the mouthwatering smell of breakfast floats through the air.

Wanders over to the table and grabs a Cheesy Sausage, Buttermilk Biscuit, and tons of coffee.

Mm...yum. Thank you!

Aunt annas castle

Good day to you, House at Pooh Corner, and especially to your esteemed Queen Kate. Word reached us recently that your region lost its entire ant population during some terrible ecological disaster. A catastrophe of this magnitude is hard to imagine, even for an exceptional intelligence such as our own. And so we have decided to come to your green and mostly pleasant land, to help you deal with your calamity.

I should introduce myself. I am Aunt Anna, the sole resident of Aunt Anna's Castle. I have millions of body parts, which I understand humans call "ants", to fulfill all my needs. It may help for you to think of me as a very large megapede.

I should tell you that I learned to speak your language as the result of some experimentation by the zoology department at Miskatonic University over in Arkham attempting to increase the intelligence of ants. The researchers believed the experiment to be a failure, because the ants were no smarter. Well, of course they weren't. When you went to school did you end up with a smarter spleen? Of course not! You ended up with a smarter you. Similarly, the ants remain dumb as rocks, whereas I, the megaorganism composed of all the ants put together, grew much more intelligent, and so mastered language, the anternet, and so much more.

Like all ant colonies, Aunt Anna has a queen, around which our existence centers, but you must not confuse the queen (her name is Anna) with me. She's a dear old lady, and we love her (how could we help it, each little piece of us is closely related to her), but like the other antizens, she too is dumb as a rock.

As I said, we would like to settle here, to take the place of your previous colony. We will help you keep your gardens and woods in ecological balance and, in particular, drive away dangerous beasts like anteaters and the like. In return, we ask little. Just some crumbs from your world-famous buffets. (Do not worry, we have come to recognize the human distaste for having our appendages crawling on their food, so we will be discreet and not take any until we can tell that you are done eating.) Also, please take some care not to tread on us. Remember we have a powerful soldier caste, who can inflict a thousand bites in retaliation for the careless crushing of just a few of our weaker appendages. Not that we would ever wish to take such drastic action, but a healthy relationship between our Castle and your House should be based on mutual respect and consideration, don't you agree?

Please allow us to stay. You used to have an ant colony and, even if you do not fully realize it, your hearts must be breaking at its loss. We can help.

Welcome to the House, Aunt annas castle! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us. You could start by having your minions start picking up the crumbs in the kitchen and dining room

Oh, "Miskatonic University", I have heard of some very interesting research coming out of there, especially in the field of Reanimation.

Welcome to The House :)

We beg your pardon. We are not a problem. Hmpf.

Good Morning House!

For today's breakfast I got creative and have prepared a Waffle Casserole, Crème Brûlée French Toast, Socially Acceptable Sausages, Lyonnaise Potatoes, Blackberries and Yogurt Grits, Peach Scones, Fresh Peach Coffee Cake with Pecan Streusel, and Fresh Salad. We also have various muffins and the last call for the leftover Oatmeal, Porridge, and Cream of Mush which are rapidly approaching nine days old and are becoming rather ripe. There is also Coffee, Tea, and Me (my warm hugs) to warm you up, as well as various juices and milk. There are Mimosas for anyone who would like one.

Bon Appetit!

Crème Brûlée French Toast (you can tell it's French from the accents :) )! I certainly want to try some of that! Would Lyonnaise potatoes go with that, or would I be better off having some at a later time?

You are very creative indeed.

Since they are both heavy on the carbs, it would be your choice to have them either together or separately.

Thank You, ^_^ I am trying to raise the culinary bar in the house.

Just don't raise it too far. :) Good simple food is great too. I'd rather have a good burger than foie gras any day. (I realize that both of those meals would be socially unacceptable here - they're merely the first examples that came to mind.)

It seemed to me that the cuisine here had become rather mundane, but hearty faire. I'm just trying to add some flair before returning to the tried and true.

I think it's time to try the Lyonnaise potatoes now. I'm sure they will be first-rate. :)

Interesting. Didn't know about that tool. Just for WFEs, pretty neat, thanks. Seems like it captures some things that the wayback machine doesn't.

I suppose Eluvatar created it?
