What does the Assembly think of the resolution that's currently being voted on in the WA? I supported it at first, since I felt that the explanation made sense, but I have since repealed my support for it because I do not think that repealing resolution GA#530 is going to resolve any problems. In fact, I am under the belief that repealing GA#530 is going to severely harm the rights of the workers in WA nations that otherwise wouldn't have good workers' rights. I do agree with the critique of GA#530, but I believe we should fix what's wrong with it rather than repeal it.

Okay, so, WA resolutions cannot be amended, unfortunately, they can only be repealed and then replaced.

In the case of the GA#530 repeal currently up for vote, there is a replacement resolution (co-authored by the author of the repeal) currently being drafted on the forums: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=497222

The use of "concurrently" here is now redundant, so I would just remove that one word and then it's fine. :)

On top of what Kava said, I would argue (and did, in the repeal proposal), that GAR#530 does significantly more to harm workers' rights than help them. Every element of it gives unfair advantages to employers and tilts the balance against unions.

Obviously I'm not here to try and influence the way you all vote, but feel free to ask me any questions you might have about the proposal. I promise the repeal was drafted with the best intentions toward protecting labour unions :P

Analysis

These results are, on the whole, fairly positive for the Cabinet and the General Assembly. However - as always - there is quite a range within this.

The leaders of both branches - Secretary Dyl and Speaker Podria - both had quite high approval ratings and scores in those portfolios, as did Argentigrad as Minister of Information. Some of the poorer performers were Podria as Minister of Community Affairs and HMTOTWP/Flame as Minister of Recruitment.

I get the feeling that response rates weren't as high as usual because the poll was a record 10 questions long; usually I would make it shorter but I wanted to cover all the normal areas that were missed during the term because I was lazy.

As for the upcoming election, it is hard to read into the percentages themselves too much since those aware of it were undoubtedly more likely to respond to the poll, but 15 people say they were already aware of the election despite no real formal announcements as such, which is decent.

The score for each satisfaction question has been adjusted to be out of 10, where 'very satisfied' is 10, 'somewhat satisfied' is 7.5, and so on. The 'score' listed for each question is the average of all non-'unsure' responses.

Hello fellow comrades,
I am grateful to the TLA for providing me refuge in their region when I was banjected from TCB. I have really enjoyed staying here as a member of TLA,but real life responsibilities do take a toll on one's hobbies. I have left the WA (because it is a echo chamber anyhow, for reasons well known to everyone) and won't be logging into this account in the coming future.
