Sirens blared as Neo-Supple fighters were scrambled to intercept a lone Nurth supple lundian F-104. It had refused to answer any radio queries, and was speeding away at a dangerously low altitude. While some thought it to be just a scout, air command was taking no chances. Thus, a pair of JAG-93 fighters had been dispatched to shoot it down. Flying at nearly Mach 2, it was only a matter of minutes before they caught up to the lone NSL craft. It immediately broke into evasive maneuvers, attempting to lose the Neo-Supple craft over the Supple Straight. But dive, duck, dodge, duck and dive as it may, it just couldn’t shake its two pursuers. Missiles streaked through the sky, one of them colliding with the F-104s tail. As smoke began spewing from the damaged plane, it started dividing downward, faster and faster, until it plunged into the straight waters. As to whether the pilot was able to safely eject, neither of the Neo-Supple planes could tell...

Further up north, radar operators in the new Krab and Frozone Districts could hardly believe what they were seeing. A ballistic missile, headed right for the capital! Forces were placed on high alert, and options were put forth on how to effectively stop it with minimal damage. A plan was settled on, with 5 NBA Mutombo Interceptors deployed to shoot down the missile. Anti-ballistic missiles started soaring through the sky, looking to intercept the enemy missile in between the Krab District and Disappointment Island. Faster and faster they accelerated, until, right on target, they collided with the missile. A massive explosion like never seen before filled the sky, a huge mushroom could filling all available space. That missile had been nuclear. And now this war was a very different one from when it started.

Prime Memeister Elwin Moose, Vice Memeister Jack Webkinz, Memeister of War Thomas Tyler, [REDACTED] “Big Boss” of Lizard Squad!, and the general’s of the Supple Skeleton Army were all gathered in [REDACTED] to discuss how to best proceed with this new, dangerous threat.

Opinions were divided. Thomas wanted immediate retaliation, all out destruction. Jack reminded all assembled that Neo-Supple Lund would be retaking the land, and should limit all collateral damage. “Big Boss” wanted to use the strike as propaganda against the NSL government, to show how desperate they were. The generals were unsure of how to proceed.

After hearing all the arguments, the Prime Memeister announced his plans:

Neo-Supple Lund would launch 10 missiles of their own at NSL. 5 would be nuclear-armed, aimed at the 5 largest cities of NSL, the capital included. The other 5 would be dummy targets, to keep the NSL leadership guessing.
Each city that was targeted would be warned 1 hour in advance, so that civilians would have enough time to evacuate. The missiles would be fired form both land and sea, all across Neo-Supple Lund. Such a strike would hopefully break the will of the people and cause NSL to surrender.

Thus, the stage was set. Missiles began climbing into the skies, visible for miles across Neo-Supple Lund. They began traveling toward their intended targets...
