It's actually kind of terrifying.

How come?

Because literally hundreds of trillions are pooled into your government each year by NS standards.
And so little of it is actual economic output from your private industry.

(thousands of land carriers surface on Antarctic territory)

Oh wait- right.
*Drops extensive amounts of thermal explosives around the carriers to trap them on platforms of ice.*)

(Though honestly I feel like those carriers would not be prepared for Antarctic Weather.)

Mestovakian land carriers appear on Antarctic land: Panik
You've trapped them on ice: Kalm
They had to get there in the first place: Panik

Panikk.

Did I kill the RMB?

No, it had an unfortunate accident. You just came at the wrong time.

Dang it.

40k?
I mean. Aside the fact that plasma weapons tend to explode a lot? And are kinda heavy. Usually good AP drain.
Its all valid. Its a lot akin to like modern war. There isnt a universal best do-all weapon. Thats like saying you give your military police a nuke since it has the highest DPS potentially.
Also Bolters are really fun to me. Its just a full auto 40mm grenade launcher with Thermobaric/HEAT warheads. Just so overkill, its lovely.

In a realistic manner. Plasma is superheated matter. Lasers are beams of energy. They behave differently, they have quite literally several states of matter between them. There probably isnt a flat out "better" unless you wanna know whats more easly archiveable - which is lasers.
Hence the 40k guardsman all getting lazguns. They even recharge by tossing a battery into the fire or laying it in the sun.

Edit:
Or how Subso scrolls ove the RMB and randomly rants over laz/plasma weapons while preparing his coffee at 5am on a workday. Joy.

Thanks. I looked at a comparison for the Tempestus Scion, and it seemed that the Plasma weapons generally outperformed the Hot-Shot lasgun, though it was around 207% more expensive, and like you said, prone to overheating and exploding. I'm pretty sure the new Mark III Belisarius Pattern Plasma Incinerator doesn't have the risk of overheating.

Wouldn't it be suspectible to heavy damage from typhoons and hurricanes? Its also a viable target or mass-nuclear retaliation, and you can't hide it from satellites either unless you hide in said natural disasters.

She is, and no I don't support that particular ship and its the first time I heard about it actually. Arkos will forever be in my heart.

Ah, Arkos is also great. Do you have any favorite ff that you are willing to recommend?

It's supposed to be a high-profile transport for airplanes. It isn't supposed to go near any disasters and isn't designed for stealth. It's for delivering aircraft to the front line on land. Also for terrifying the enemy with a massive airship with planes and guns.

Did I mention that it also has anti-missile systems?

I mean...
His biggest problems wouldn't even be those.
His biggest problem would be nations like mine.
Who can direct-fire battleship rounds into the sky, we just need targeting data and we can snap his carrier like a twig if he isn't careful.

You can't realistically block all incoming missiles in a mass-nuclear strike, maybe if you had a higher SA I'II be let that slide.

Not to mention it's escorts.

And who would waste valuable nukes on an airship...

Gah these issues are trash
