I agree. It took 3 years for the Spanish Flu, H1N1 to run its course. I expect that we will expect the same thing with the Covid.

Well I guess its because it is a vaccine and not a cure so people can still get it but the symptoms are less severe.

Last year some people were saying that it would take three years for us to put Covid behind us, similar to the H1N1 a century ago, and as time progresses, it seems to be looking that way. I hate the whole business of lock-downs and masks.

So the news I have heard and what my scientist friends have told me is that the consensus is COVID-19 will not ever actually go away completely, it will just kind of blend in with 'flu season' so people will have to get annual Covid shots along with their flu shots each fall. But we won't still be having lockdowns as by then the virus will be mainly controlled.

Plus with India out of control new variants might still arise. It's very very bad over there.

But we have vaccines now, which will lead to booster shots and probably like I said before an annual shot like the flu one.

So many people that I've spoken with and have heard speak say that we have another couple of years before we are truly out of the woods with this.
