I was wondering what jobs are available in this region?

I'm sending 500 troops 100 tanks and 50 planes in assistance

to The Peoples Republic of Calico V

South east europe

I must, unfortunately, announce my departure from the Global Right Alliance. I may return one day.

this region is currently rebuilding(ish). check in on the forum - link on the World Fact Entry.

^about jobs available (obviously).

Knock me out, but I'm just gonna get back up, noting to it. Na na na na na (8)

is that rancid f4u?

No, that was me just horribly mis-singing a song I hear on the radio.

In other news, guess who got a easter egg issue about undead walking around my nation when there nation animal is the undead? I know, cool story bro. But I thought it was funny.

Is it me... or is applying to uni-stuff the ultimate hell?

Well personally when I apply to go to uni. it only took me like ten minutes to fill out the form and the money order, but I know your done school. So what are you applying for anyway?

After a year out in the real world I'm plotting a return with some postgraduate work. But in the UK the process is soooo long and time consuming.

nah. it's piss easy. it's not like you want to do a PhD so so don't need to do a research proposal or such like...just a personal statement about how great you are, organise some references and make sure you have the wonga...basics.

OMG. I just caught up on all the Feature February stuff! SO COOL. We get trophies for rankings and endless rmb! sweeeet.

I don't know how it is where you are, but here, they make it ridiculously complex to apply for college/university. Forms upon forms, with tons of essays, and different classes of applications. Then to apply for financial aid... how they expect you to be able to do these things without a college educations at times baffles me. Maybe I'm just sour on the process cuz I'm stuck waiting to hear from them all...

@RantSpot: I don't know which country you live in, got educated, where and for what you're applying etc... That could make HUGE differences.
In the NL, for example, you need to fill in a lot of forms if you are a foreign student...

how is we have such an active RMB but boards are dead...

Well to be honest, posting on the RMB is easy when all your doing is chatting for a bit.

Anybody want to update me on what old timers are still hanging around? I assume Old Z is still here at the very least.

Z has been gone since December. How you doing f4u?

Getting onto a PHD is easy. Getting funding etc sorted is exceptionally time consuming.

Well I'm in the US and applying in the US. Still a huge pain in the ass.
I agree w/f4u about the board. It took up a fair amount of time. Now I just hop on here, answer some issues and occasionally post to the RMB.

getting onto a PhD is easy? you had much experience of that have you Jiv??

Hi guys what's happening

Yeah... All you need to get onto a PHD is a willingness to fund yourself. Completing a PHD is, I imagine, rather harder. But to do a PHD in the uni where i graduated all I need to do was say yes. Get a first, do gain some experience as a research assistant. You're in unless you scream I WILL KILL YOU in the interview.

Oh god... We just went to 99 nations... :O

jivbot - that might speak volumes about how valuable a phd is from your uni...it doesn't mean getting into a phd elsewhere is easy. to do a phd at the LSE you have to submit a 2-4k word research proposal which has to be passed by an academic committee of relevant professors. lots of people don't make it, despite having 1st class degrees, distinctions at masters level, previous publications even...
