Japanese Legislation Passes: JSDF reformed
It was recently announced by His Divine Majesty the Emperor that the legislation in the National Diet which aimed to reform the JSDF has passed. Henceforth, the JSDF has been renamed to the Imperial Armed Forces of Japan or Imperial Armed Forces. The traditional Japanese Army flag has been adopted to replace the JSDF flag. His Divine Majesty the Emperor celebrated the reformation on social media by releasing the following statement,
"Finally, the National Diet has voted & successfully passed the legislation proposed recently concerning the JSDF. I am pleased to announce that from here on out the JSDF will be renamed to the Imperial Forces of Japan & it's subsequent branches have also been renamed. No longer does our Military need to be ashamed of it's past due to the Humiliation War. Now, we will look proudly at our military! Glory to Japan!"
While some of the populace continues to express concern at the path Japan is embarking on. Thousands of Nationalists flooded social media to praise the move & celebrate His Divine Majesty the Emperor's wisdom in supporting such legislation.

IAF responds to Russian detachment in the Kuril Islands

His Divine Majesty the Emperor,
The IAF has deployed a detachment of 3,000 soldiers from the IJA to Eastern Hokkaido. This detachment consisted of the following:
40 Type 99 155 mm Self-propelled Howitzer
20 Type 87 (Reconnaissance Vehicle)
200 Komatsu Light Armored Vehicle
20 Type 10 MBT's
They will be conducting exercises within Eastern Hokkaido where possible as a show of force against the Russian soldiers deployed in the Kuril Islands. We will continue to provide you updates as the situation develops. Long live His Divine Majesty the Emperor!
Recently, the Minister of Defense released a statement on social media in response to the self-described Russian occupation of the Kuril Islands,
"Following the reformation of the JSDF. In conjunction with the Emperor, we have deployed a detachment (OOC: 3,000 soldiers) of soldiers from the IJA to Eastern Hokkaido in response to the Russian detachment in the Kuril Islands. This is our first show of force, no longer will Japan sit by & let itself be disrespected. We will be conducting exercises in the Area to show the Russians that we are not afraid of a disgraced bear. Glory to His Divine Majesty the Emperor! Glory to Japan!"
Several citizens took to social media to express their distaste with such a show of force. Believing that Japan should enter into a productive dialogue with the Russians. However, several more citizens approved of the deployment. A prominent statement being,
"It's time we stood up for ourselves instead of letting our Nation be bullied by foreign powers"
His Divine Majesty the Emperor has made it clear that Japan will not be intimidated or bow to anyone. Many interpreted this as a sign of support for the Japanese detachment.

Japanese Foreign Minister's Visit to Siam a success
The Japanese Foreign Minister recently returned from his diplomatic visit to Siam. The Foreign Minister reported the visit as a success. He released the following statement on social media,
"I had a very productive meeting with the Siamese. We signed several agreements. We celebrate our continued friendship with our allies in Siam!"
Several agreements were signed with the Siamese which were released hours later:
Japan & Siam agree to host & propagate cultural exchanges & or sharing so as to promulgate their respective cultures throughout their Nations.

Prime Minister Shinzō Abe to meet with American President Robert Bowman
Recently, American President Robert Bowman took to social media to announce the following,
"Looking forward to my upcoming meeting with Prime Minister Japan. I will be taking the time to discuss the pressing issues currently facing the Far East. Prime Minister Abe and I have a lot to discuss and it will be productive"
Prime Minister Shinzō Abe released his own statement hours later,
"I look forward to meeting the American President, Mr. Bowman, on the behalf of His Divine Majesty the Emperor. I will be looking forward to engaging in discussions with such a key partner of Japan. In addition, this will illustrate our renewed commitment to our previous allies as tensions rise with Korea & Russia"
This meeting will prove critical to Japan amidst its reformation of the Armed Forces, response to Russia, & tension with Korea. Political experts believe this meeting may shape Japan's foreign policy going forward. We will have to wait & see how this meeting may go.
