Middle predor wrote:Albin shrugged. "I don't know much about them. Seems they are an alliance of western powers."

Duke Tritten spoke up. "They're an alliance of a number of nations, both East and West, with the goal of apparently ending 'the unfair rule of the elite' as they call it. Meaning, of course, that they oppose us and our way of life. Any monarchy will probably be under threat by this alliance."

He shrugged.
"As for the trouble in Kromkarie, it's no less than full-scale civil war. There is-or was- four different factions in play, and the Internationale is supporting the sides that seem most opposed to monarchism. Judging from what I've heard, it's most likely the worker's faction that will win this one, but it's slim."

Harlan listened in silence while they spoke. He wasn't a man of many words, unlike his cousin Fenris, but he was definitely not lacking for brains.
The concept of a civil war in the south did not worry him too much, Norvath was isolated in the north after all. But the northern kingdom did have some dealings in the south now, and he was hesitant to abandon his interests there.

"I have no issue with the workers wanting to overthrow their unfit overlords. But my country is not ruled by tyranny." Harlan responded curtly.

"The people of Norvath are loyal to our house," Fenris added, "They wont take kindly to the slander of the family that they fought under against the Grey Empire."

Meanwhile Magnus seemed to be in a world of his own, leaning against a wall and daydreaming.
