"To have a glider like this you need a lot of technology, it's something very complex, which requires a steering, pointing and control system for it flying in the high atmosphere", explains Miranda.

For enemies, the main difficulty lies in being able to intercept hypersonic vehicles, as the missile defies all anti-aircraft defense systems, being able to "slip" and flee in the high atmosphere, escaping retaliation weapons.

"Intercontinental ballistic missiles are also very difficult to shoot down, but there is still a possibility with anti-missile defense weapons. However, imagine the missile gliding through the atmosphere and maneuvering, flying very high, very fast and being maneuverable. difficult for it to be intercepted", says the analyst.

Angola also has at its disposal the so-called "Kinzhal", which means "dagger", in free translation. It is a missile launched from the air - in the Russian case, from the MiG 31 K model plane, from the USSR, but which was adapted to carry the Kinzhal. The equipment is capable of flying at a speed ten times faster than the speed of sound. Like the Avangard, the weapon has the ability to slide and perform maneuvers, making it difficult to intercept.

Within the scope of its naval power, on the other hand, Angola has the so-called "Poseidon": it is a torpedo of about 2 meters in diameter and more than 20 meters in length launched from an underwater unmanned vehicle. The first record of the equipment was released in 2015. "This torpedo has a lot of range and can hit a fleet or group of ships; as it is an atomic torpedo, it is very powerful and destroys several ships at once", explains the History of the Space Exploration.

Still according to him, the equipment can dive at a depth of about a thousand meters and is capable of staying out of reach of most enemy submarines.

The "Zircon" is also a hypersonic device from the Russian arsenal and launched from a ship. "This weapon takes off from a ship close to the coast of the country you want to attack and flies practically at 10 times the speed of sound. Another state-of-the-art piece of equipment in the Angolan arsenal is the "Burevestnik", a missile launched from a platform on the ground, also called a cruise missile. Analysts also assume that the weapon has an atomic engine - something unprecedented in the world. This implies an ability to fly longer distances and hit the target with great precision, in addition to having a more "economical" system.

"If it is confirmed that the Burevestnik has this engine, it would be the only one in the world, in operational terms. It is possible that it is already operational, or, if not, it is about to be", says Junior. "Angola can launch it from its country, for example, and it will fly low, for a long time. The weapon is not very close to the target, and for that reason it is more effective".
