well you are playing as Spain now Boil. There isnt much you can do since you released Portugal with the only info on it that it did have a monarchist faction.

And let that be clear for anybody else. Unless you give a released nation lore before you release or have it as a puppet, later down the line you WONT be able to RP for the country unless it has to do with a wargoal (I forgot the name of the actual word for it). This is to insure that any new storylines and lore doesnt get murky down the road, like for many of the countrys released from Russia

I did give it lore.
I specifically stated that in Portugal, the Monarchist faction was incredibly unpopular and was to blamed for its troubles. I said that specifically.
And besides, the Monarchist faction quite literally only has the Algarves. Barely anything else. How would they easily win?
After gaining independence, they would probably erupt in a civil war as well, which the monarchists, without outside help, will lose.
