Coin Collecting Club Regional Message Board

Lord God,
I give you thanks, for you are good, and your mercy is endless.
Here I stand, at the start of this holy week,
This week in which your church remembers Jesusí passion and death,

And I am distracted by many things.
Turn my eyes now to the One who comes in your name
The one who opens the gates of righteousness
The one who answers when we call.

I bless you, Lord, for shining your light upon me,
And for sending your son to us, in human frailty.
To walk the road we walk.
Open my eyes that I may see him coming,

And may praise him with a pure heart.
And may walk in the way of his suffering,
And share also in his resurrection.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Almighty God,
who through your only‑begotten Son Jesus Christ
overcame death and opened to us the gate of everlasting life:
Grant that we, who celebrate with joy the day of the Lordís resurrection,
may be raised from the death of sin by your life‑giving Spirit;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Greetings! We are sending you some common necessities while you are hunkered down.

**delivers a parcel of canned goods, toilet paper, paper towels, a bottle of bleach, hand soap, hand gel, coffee, and Hershey's kisses**

Loving God, as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children,
so you watch over your Church.

Bless our mother.
Let the example of her faith and love shine forth.

Grant that we, her family,
may honor her always with a spirit of profound respect.

Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Oh Almighty God,
whose great power and eternal wisdom
embraces the universe.
Watch over all policemen and law enforcement officers.
Father in Heaven please give them the strength,
courage and perseverance to endure
The unjust condemnation, danger, and physical abuse
to which they are at times subjected.
We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous.
Dear God, grant these brave men your almighty protection,
Unite them safely with their families after duty has ended.
Amen.

Hello! I hope you don't mind a solitary visitor. We're on a voyage across the many regions in NationStates, and thought this place looked promising.

I, too, have enjoyed collecting coins over the years :)

I believe I've got a wheat penny from the early 1930s.

How are you going about your collecting? What else do you collect?

I collect coins and baseball cards. I get them at a local collector's store. It is quite fun.

I collected baseball cards in my youth. We had a "variety store" in town, kind of an old timey five-and-dime general store, but they did all sorts of random other things, like rent movies and nintendo games. In the back was an alcove where they sold trading cards of every stripe.

I also collected bottle caps. Which basically meant I had a large ball jar that stunk of stale beer from all of the poorly-washed beer bottle caps :P
