OPERATION CASTIGAR | BÉLVAREZ'S ATTEMPT TO DESTROY PRM* REMNANTS
    Part One
    --
Operación Castigar, El Intento de Bélvarez de Destruir Los Restos de PRM

    Mexico City,
    Second Republic of Mexico

    | The People's Republic had just died, but the new Mexican government had to deal with troops (and remnants) who were still loyal to the PRM. Today, at the end of January, General Juan Bélvarez orders the Restorationist forces to "free the people who were still in the shadow of the communist".

Mexico is controlled by Restorationist (de facto) But in fact, de jure Mexico is still under People's Republic because currently no state outside Mexico who recognized it's new government. Restorationist Forces (or commonly called 20 January Troops), is now moving to the city of Mazatlán. Big Jeeps filled with troops are roaring in the streets of Mazatlán. There was a shootout on the main street of the city. The sound of a rifle over time sounded very loud when the additional Restorationist trucks just came to the location.

Lieutenant Javier C. Arlon led the main force on the main front, the same troops as the Restorationist Forces took over the People's Parliament building on 19 January. He and his troops are advancing towards a burning supermarket. Right in there, a bunch of mercenary and PRM-loyal soldiers flying a PRM flag shouting loudly: "Die to the Restorationist, long live PRM!!"|

Lt. Javier, 6th Barricade Commander: "The heck are they doing there?! Carlos, give me the grenade, now!!"

    | A soldier near him are quickly give a grenade to Lieutenant. Communist troops are seen in the distance, meanwhile January 20 troops keep firing at them, The city of Mazatlán soon became a very deadly battleground.|
Restorationist Soldier 1: "Here, the grenade, sir!! Sir, I have some bad news, 10 men are down, and suffering heavy pain! We can't hold them again, we must call for additional forces!

    | Lieutenant Javier nodded in agreement as he opened the cover of the grenade and then tossed it towards the increasingly insane Communist Forces. Shortly after, a grenade exploded and 5 enemy troops were thrown into the air.|
Lt. Javier, 6th Barricade Commander: "Calling for what?? We're already winning! We can do it, there's no air support! Most of our airfields and fighter aircrafts are destroyed on Operation Mexican Freedom, remember? As for additional forces, we can't get it, the nearest Restorationist-controlled base is 6 hours range from here...."

    | The Soldier then replies..|
Restorationist Soldier 1: "There's no hope sir, our First Wave troops are all wiped out, either they're killed or just surrendered to those communists! We're too late, no additional support means no chance of winning!"

    | Right after the soldier finishes his word, Their Jeep are exploding, it was hit by a RPG. Another soldier are running towards lieutenant with a big wound in his shoulder.|
Lt. Javier, 6th Barricade Commander: "Oh crap, our car is gone now... Medic, I need medic!!! Yeah, maybe we're losing, but not today, Carlos. If you guys can't do it, then I'll do it myself!!

    | The Lieutenant then looked at the surrounding troops with the intention of inviting them to advance against the enemy forces. 7 soldiers then nodded, they immediately fixed their weapons and replaced a new magazine. Shortly thereafter, they advanced and began firing carelessly towards the enemy.

One soldier was shot in the chest while trying to attack the enemy troops who are now hiding between cars. Reflexively, one soldier threw a grenade at the car the soldier fired at, but missed, unfortunately, he was also shot in the neck and arm and immediately fall to the ground.

The lieutenant and 5 others quickly hid in a safe place as the Communist Forces continued firing at them as if their bullets were unlimited.|

Restorationist Soldier 3: "Sir, I can't do this anymore, Vincent was dead, and I saw his dead in front of me!! Sir, please stop this insane decision, we'll be dead...."

    | With limping, another soldier gave him an answer.|
Soldier 1: "Stop complaining, Diego, calm down, we can do this, we'll defend our country from traitors, you know it right? Lieutenant, maybe he's right, we running out of ammo, and they're look likes have an infinity army and ammo. Maybe just one advance and we just go retreat."

    | The lieutenant nodded in agreement and said: "Alright one more attack". And they advanced again with one soldier waiting in hiding place just in case. Unexpectedly, a grenade suddenly flew and fell between Lieutenant Javier's troops who were firing at the enemy.|
Lt. Javier, 6th Barricade Commander: "What kind of Taco.....BRACE!!! Kick that freaking grenade away!!!"

    | The Grenade was successfully kicked, but not by them.. A helicopter sound then roaring in the sky, releasing deadly rockets to the PRM Soldiers. After the big explosion, The lieutenant stood back and looked confused. The remaining 5 troops all survived, apparently it was the soldiers who are hiding who kicked the grenade, and the helicopter turned out to be a PRM helicopter seized by the Restorationist forces.|
Soldier 4: "My goodness, It was Captain Marc, Lieutenant, look, it's Captain Marc!!"

    | They are happy because they have been saved. Captain Marc is General Bélvarez's right-hand man and he leads additional troops to take control of the city of Mazatlán.

Not a few hours later, they withdrew temporarily giving a pyrrhic victory of the remaining PRM troops. However, General Bélvarez was ready to give Mazatlán another surprise attack. Because the fall of Mazatlán will cut off the supply line of Communist forces in the North and in the south, and at the same time reduce the morale of pro-PRM troops that are still scattered throughout Mexico.|

          ____

PRM is abbreviation term for People's Republic of Mexico, former corrupt left-wing nation that has been crushed out by Juan Bélvarez's Restorationist army (a some sort of Alliance to Restore the Republic of Mexico)

I’ve never understood this!

I’ve always said that the harshness of American life in the fact that the government doesn’t help the people at all, has made the vast majority of Americans selfish and hard of heart. Not to mention the poor education system.

Btw, if you compare taxation, Canada is lower than USA, yet we have free healthcare and free education/affordable University

Thats because America refuses to dictate what companies can charge for medical items, which every country with extensive healthcare systems does. If they did that the costs of the American Healthcare System would half. (This is also why College & University are so expensive in America by western standards)

Personally dont even have free healthcare where i live, its just "cheaper" healthcare.

Austria (inside the EU, one of the highest living standards) for clarity.

The more you pay, the better quality the item/service is... thats often false.

Yes it can be “better” but not enough compared to the prime you pay :)

CZECHOSLOVAKIA EXPANDS GUN OWNERSHIP LAWS TO PROTECT AGAINST "ENEMIES OF THE WORKER"

FEBRUARY 2018

After a wave of break-ins took place in Prague last year, the Government has decided to expand laws on Gun ownership to allow Citizens to protect their Households against foreign invasion. Czech Security Forces are extensive, however the average wait time for a break-in scenario is six minutes, longer than the average duration of a break-in. Further, the effects of a break-in are felt more widely within Czechoslovakia than in the west, after all some Citizens wait up to a year for certain items (Automobiles, Televisions) only to have them stolen in the period of a few moments. Some Individuals have also pointed out that due to the lack of Cellphones within the Nation some People are unable to contact Police as their Telephones are in the living Room which is often the first Room broken into.

| Comrade President Petrov had the following to say : |

"The sheer disgust and hatred i feel towards those who would steel the hard earned labour of their fellow workers is without equal. Many Citizens wait months and in some cases even years to acquire the luxury items of their desire, only for them to be stolen in the space of a few days by an individual who would rather steal labour than share it. While the majority of us can only imagine such a person being overcome with shame at committing such an act, these are individuals who do not feel in the same way that a normal individual does. While a normal human being would think of creation and sharing, these people only think of destroying and taking. I have requested that the Security Forces make all attempts to decrease response times so that they may arrive to assist much more quickly, however it is unrealistic to think that they alone can deter and stop such crimes.

Guns are already a legal for all Citizens within Czechoslovakia, naturally however those who wish to own one still have to complete a gun proficiency exam, medical examination and having a clean criminal record. To deter Criminals and allow our Citizens to utilize their rights more efficiently, i have today signed the Personal protection act. This act will allow Citizens who have acquired a license to additionally acquire a license to carry their Weapon in a concealed State. Additionally, this will no longer penalize Citizens who kill intruders within their own Homes. Our nation has an extensive history of firearms ownership, the very word "Pistol" in english comes from the czech language itself. Historically we championed the right of women to carry weapons, we should rediscover these old traditions in order to protect the fruits of our combined labour. Let it be known that there is no place in our Nation who would tear the fruits of their comrades labour away, no matter the supposed justification."

As a result of the Personal Protection Act, 5 different Categories of Ownership have been established :

A – Firearm collection (Minimum Age 21. limited to 3 pcs or 1 smallest production package of the same type of ammunition. No carrying permitted)

B – Sport shooting (Minimum Age 18 or Age 15 for members of a shooting club. No restriction on ammunition ownership. Carrying only for Transport)

C – Hunting (Minimum Age 18 or 16 for pupils at schools with hunting curriculum. No restriction on ammunition ownership. Carrying only for Transport)

D – Exercise of profession (Minimum Age 21 or 18 for pupils at schools conducting education on firearms or ammunition manufacturing. Only ammunition for the firearm in possession is permitted, however no restriction on quantity. Permitted to Concealed carry)

E – Self-defense (Minimum Age 21. Only ammunition for the firearm in possession is permitted, however no restriction on quantity. Permitted to Concealed carry)

Obtaining the license requires passing a theoretical and practical exam. :

Theoretical exam: The theoretical exam consists of a written test of 30 multiple choice questions (Created and distributed by the Ministry of the Interior) with a maximum of 79 points possible. To pass the written exam, 67 points are needed for category A, 71 for category B or C, and 74 for category D or E. The test deals with the following issues:

    - knowledge of firearms legislation
    - knowledge of legislation related to legitimate use of firearm (e.g. self-defense)
    - general knowledge of firearms and ammunition
    - first aid.

Practical exam:

Safe handling, this comprises :

-inspecting, whether the firearm is loaded (safely unloading)
-field stripping as needed for clean-up
-preparation of firearm and ammunition for shooting, shooting, procedure of handling the firearm in case of malfunction, conclusion of shooting.
-Touching the trigger, pointing in different than appointed safe direction or trying to field strip loaded gun (dummy round is used) results in the applicant failing the exam.
-Depending on the categories of licenses sought, applicants may be asked to show their ability of safe manipulation on multiple firearms (typically CZ 75 and/or CZ 82 pistol, bolt-action CZ 452 rifle and a double-barreled shotgun).

Shooting test, which requires specific scores dependent on the category of license applied for:

-For the B category license it is 25m on rifle target (A4 sheet sized) with 4 out of 5 rounds hitting the target sheet shooting from a rifle (2 out of five for A category). .22 Long Rifle chambered rifle is used. Alternatively, an applicant can shoot a pistol on 50/20 pistol target at 10 m.
-For the C category license, the applicant must fires at 25m with a rifle (same as cat. B) and also successfully hit the rifle target from the distance of 25m shooting from a shotgun (Usually double-barreled), 3 out of 4 rounds must hit the target (at least partially).
-For the E category license, the applicant must successfully hit the international pistol target 50/20 (50 cm x 50 cm) from a distance of 10m (15m for D category license) shooting from a pistol, 4 out of 5 rounds must hit the sheet (2 out of 5 for A category).

In each of the cases above, the actual score is irrelevant; the projectiles simply have to hit the target sheet within the circles. Also in each case, the applicant is allowed 3 test shots to familiarize with the particular firearm used for the test. The shotgun is an exception to this, where only one round is allowed as a test shot.

Types of Firearm and their classification :

A – Restricted firearms and accessories - Includes full automatic firearms, military firearms and ammunition not inspected and marked for civilian use, some types of ammunition such as armor-piercing and incendiary ammunition, night vision scopes, suppressors. The use of hollow point ammunition in pistols is also restricted, however, hollow points are legal to purchase for rifles and pistol carbines. These Weapons may only be possessed after having owned a Weapons Permit for four years with no incident.

B – Guns requiring permit - Includes semi automatic and single or multiple shot handguns, revolvers, semi automatic rifles and shotguns with magazine capacity over 3 rounds or with a detachable magazine, semi automatic "military" style rifles, rim-fire firearms under 280 mm of length and all shotguns under 600 mm of length, flare guns with caliber larger than 16mm.

C – Guns requiring registration - Includes single shot or bolt action rifles longer than 280 mm, shotguns, semi-automatic rifles not included in B, air rifles with muzzle energy over 16 J and black powder repeaters.

D – Guns available to adults above 18 - Includes air guns (muzzle energy up to 16 J), mechanical guns (with kinetic energy from 150 N), replicas (black powder up to two shots – e.g. not black powder revolvers), airsoft guns, vintage firearms (manufactured prior to 1890), expansion guns and .22 CB cap (muzzle energy up to 7.5 J).

A person must obtain the Gun License (Zbrojní průkaz) to be allowed to own gun of categories A, B and C. To own a gun in the D category only the age of 18 is required. A, B and C category weapon has to be registered within 10 working day with the Ministry of Interior after it is bought.

Firearm owners are allowed to practice only at Government-owned shooting ranges and may otherwise use the firearm only in case of self-defense, or when permitted by other laws (e.g. hunting). Any adult can visit such a range and shoot from available weapons, without restrictions or permits. A person without a gun license has to be supervised (if younger than 18, then by a person at least 21 years old who has been a holder of a gun license for at least 3 years).
