I’m not trying to abolish anything. On the contrary, I’m trying to set the role play up so it can be successful. The current system is not working. It’s making people feel ostracized and creating hostility between members. We have been incredibly hands-off up to this point allowing the experiment to play out, but now we have to step in and find another way.

Okay, I have a new middleground idea.
I have established the region of West Europeia and requested an embassy. Once the embassy is completed, all nations within Europeia will be able to post on the West Europeia Regional Message Board (RMB). Nations will be able to stay in Europeia, but also post on West Europeia's RMB. West Europeia's RMB is where the roleplay will take place, and in West Europeia we can also pin all relevant roleplay dispatches, and display information in the WFE.
I think it could work out perfectly because (1) nobody has to leave main Europeia; (2) it's a dedicated space for the roleplay that can be 100% for the roleplay; (3) easier display of information; (4) everything stays on Nationstates.
Would be curious to hear what people think of this proposal.

It's a new region, but nobody has to actually move there. You can just use it for the RMB while this main RMB is for more chit-chat, the West Europeia will be a dedicated space for the roleplay.
Once embassies are constructed, you'll be able to post on the West Europeia RMB while your nation still remains here!
