Elementary school dropout... is that even a thing?

I suppose we will see!

Actually, that requirement is only for posting or accessing the forums.

Sorry, my bad :(

It is super cold today and I am certainly not enjoying wading in the muddy slush everywhere - but even then, it is preferable to a sweltering summer day. Shivering is better than sweating.

Apparently tomorrow is supposed to be around -12C, which means the muddy slush will be a solid sheet of ice by morning. Not leaving the house tomorrow!

-34°C wind shear around here. ,_,

1. i had to wait half my life for personal computers to become something i could afford.
2. i flunked all four years of phys ed in high school.
3. i aced my s.a.t.'s to enter university after i got out of the air force.
4. i live in a small cabin in the sierras near the town of comptonville, with two ferrets, a red panda and a bobcat.

4 ?

that was quick. lucky guess or did something make it obvious?

Yes - the structure made it quite obvious, to be honest. 1,2,3 make a coherent story in that order :)

Frieden-und Freudenland wrote:Elementary school dropout... is that even a thing?

my dad was one. but that was back in the 1930s. he was still in the 6th grade when he left his abusive single parent father and hopped a freight and crossed the country several times, before meeting my mom in new york.

Wow, Helaw's card lost quite some value...

It was rather specific with unusual details

If you were actually living with a red panda, we might have to turn you in to the cops for illegal possession of endangered exotic animals :P

The listed value was hyperinflated by some very expensive buys back in April.

Here are my three truths and a lie:

1) I almost got flunked out of a middle school computing class for programming and distributing a harmless Trojan.
2) I have tetrachromatic vision.
3) I have misophonia.
4) I have modeled nude for several different artistic
photography and video projects.

Tetrachromacy sounded so interesting that I looked it up. Apparently it only occurs in women (because it requires two X chromosomes with different cone cell genes), so I’m going to guess that one.

The king of all cosmos

I just noticed something…
For several pages, there's not a single WA nation for the most average nation's in the world! How is that?

This isn't likely to be the actual reason, but statistically being in the WA isn't all that average...

Frieden-und Freudenland wrote:1) Plausible if one of your parents had been adopted by a gay couple. The question is, could someone your age have a parent who had openly gay parents, who could LEGALLY adopt him/her? Hmm... How else would you have 3 grandfathers? Maybe if there was something about one of your parents' paternity, for example, if they have been adopted and if both their biological and adoptive fathers claimed paternity rights. Something like that.

2) Meh, this is quite mundane in comparison to the others. I don't know how nerdy you are, but it sounds plausible.

3) Let's see. I don't even remember where you're from, but I think this could be possible. I graduated from high school at age 19, but in many countries people graduate at 18. You may even technically graduate at 17, if your birthday is later in the year (I knew someone who did that).

Again, in Turkey (and in the US, too) a typical undergraduate program takes 4 years, while a master's program takes about 2 years. But in some countries such as Germany, undergrad programs can take 3 years and master's programs can take 1 year. So a person who finishes high school at age 17 could easily go on to complete a master's at age 21. I'll say this is plausible as well.

4) This is also plausible, though the things you claim to have modeled for are quite diverse... and what do you mean by modeling for catwalks??? Oh dear...

Anyway, I guess I'll go with 4. I think you're still a young person (right?) and since you say you "used to" be a model, this would mean that you switched careers. I thought modeling could be a more or less lucrative business, so maybe you wouldn't so easily leave it? Also, maybe you couldn't have time for modeling if you were engaged in finishing a master's and coding games?

I'll say 4.

It's 4, because I've never been a runway model.

The Grene Knyght wrote:It's 4, because I've never been a runway model.

Yes!!!

Did you model for banana-flavored milk, though?

Alright then, here goes. Again, the trick of the game is to not exagurate but present stuff in a certain light or without certain important info so they sound far more interesting than they are.

1) I've had coffee with the drummer from The Clash.

2) I once nearly set fire to a neighbour's tree with a home made rocket launcher.

3) I was the only kid stupid enough to graffiti their whole name on the school wall.

4) Out of all the kids on the street I grew up in, I'm one of the few that didn't die of an overdose, get groomed for underage prostitution or wind up in prison.
