Explosión en Zinder | Explosion in Zinder

Earlier today, an explosion rocked the city of Zinder in the State of Kano. The Zinder Police Department confirmed multiple casualties due to the unexpected explosion. A total of ten were injured including two children and an additional twenty-seven were injured from the blast, ranging from critically injured to minor bruises and abrasions. The cause of the explosion has been determined as an IED located within a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road. Shortly after the local and federal government announced that they believed this was an attack perpetrated by a terrorist organization, the attack was claimed by the terrorist organization IYZN, a group that has been fighting against the Sohongidan Armed Forces. The SAF appears to be at a stand-still in regards to their reclamation of the north of Sohongida. No word has been given as to the next move of either IYZN or the SAF.

Duncay-Ireland has recently bought from [nation]Regium helvetica[/nation] some military equipment

The shipment was:
550 modern fighter jets and 150 modern tanks

Duncay-Ireland is paying 5 billion for this

An Embassy was also set up with Lead Ambassador Joseph Eaveston sending his right hand man and Assistant-Lead Ambassador Brett Poolson to be the Ambassador of Helvetica

Duncay-Ireland hopes to be friends with Regium-Helvetica and to strengthen ties with them and to have them as a top military-equipment provider

OOC: Second reminder to rectify this unrealistic procurement deal. $5 billion USD for 550 "modern fighter jets" is a fiscally irresponsible transaction.

Please specify type and make of the fighter jets and tanks and return with appropriate calculations, thanks.

Times of London - Liberal Leader Chosen
Liberal Leader chosen at special conference

Mrs Mo Swindon has been elected as leader of the Liberal Party at a special conference. Mo sits in Ross and Comraty, Scotland and is the youngest leader of a major party at only 43.

The two-round first-past-the-post system has left the Liberals as 'king maker', as either the biggest party or as part of a coalition ever since it was first adopted in the 1970 election, allegedly as a way of reducing the impact of smaller parties calling for independence, although the benefits were established as bringing stability and fairness, with a majority of the electorate having elected the MP.

Polls are currently unpredictable, but seem to be suggesting big swings to the Conservatives and Labour at the expense of the Liberals.

The first round will narrow down the candidate field to two and will take place on Sunday. The second round will take place the following Sunday.

El Líder de la Cámara, Chidiegwu, Critica a la Unión Euroasiática | House Leader Chidiegwu Criticizing Eurasian Union

House Leader Lina Chidiegwu, a member of the All Progressives Congress in the House of Representatives of Sohongida, has been quoted criticizing recent actions of the Eurasian Union. Her comments on the Eurasian Union are below:

"Instead of falling in line with their government, they go to the United Assembly of Nations. They make a big spectacle of it all just to delay the inevitable. Moscow should oversee them as we should oversee Niamey and other various states within the Federal Republic of Sohongida. You don't see our states going to an international forum to delay the inevitable. They should just stop this foolishness and just give in to Moscow's wishes. It would make sure a war doesn't happen and it will also put an end to this waste of everyone else's time. If this is what the leadership of the Eurasian Union does with their time, I can see why they need help running their nation."

House Leader Chidiegwu was criticized for her comments by House Leader of the People's Democratic Party, Lucio Ifeatu, stating:

"The comments by House Leader Chidiegwu are unnecessary, inflammatory, and ignorant of the situation she speaks about."

House Leader Chidiegwu has brushed off these comments. Many members of her party, along with various members of the Military Party of Sohongida and the New Republic Party agree with her statements. Both the People's Democratic Party and the White Rose Political Union stand against the comments and have made it clear by refusing to vote on any legislation put forward by the All Progressives Congress. House Leader Chidiegwu has called these actions by the APC childish. It has been noted that, after deliberations with the President of Sohongida, Sohongidan Senate Leader, and Sohongidan House Leader, that the Sohongidan Representative at the United Assembly of Nations (SRUAN) had voted on Annex A in favor of the USSR's goals. Many have seen the actions by the PDP and the WRPU as alienating and reactionary. These reactions may cause both parties to lose seats in the coming elections, however that will only be known once the elections come and pass.

[PUBLIC] :: Wedding of the Emperor

☩ Buonarotti Palace | The wedding of His Royal Highness, Emperor Gianmarco, was set to take place in the 23rd of September to honour the fifth anniversary the royal couple have spent together. The wedding was planned months prior by the royal family and the planners of the palace with the budget of millions of coronas taken from the wealth of the Crown.

Before the ceremony, an assembly was held in Chapel of San Giuseppe on the fields of the Monterosso Castle, gathering all the faithful attendees inside the large church. Those invited, whom were not of Christian faith, were given the liberty to either witness the assembly or be absent. The melodies of the organ filled up the building as all invitees were taking their seats with the Holy Book in their hands. The noises arising from the crowds were silenced within minutes as Bishop Nostriano de Gerusalemme entered the room from his office.

"All rise, please." he ordered, and so they did, and Father Nostriano made sure all who are present have stood up upon continuing. "Today we have been assembled in the house of the Lord to bless Gianmarco Barantella and his betrothed, Gabriele Stancato. In presence of the Lord Saviour, the Almighty Father, the blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, I ask my brothers and sisters to pray for this couple whom are to be united under the sacred institution of marriage today." he said, followed by the murmurs of the attendees whispering prayers of the next ten minutes. After the prayer was held, hymns were sung, and the invitees got ready to visit the Monterosso Castle.

Inside the castle, the last touches were being done while the visitors blessed the union of the Emperor not very far away. The main entrance, the dining room and the tea room had all been decorated with gold and purple accents in honour of the special day. The Emperor was wearing a beige suit accompanied with a white tie, preparing for the wedding as the stylist worked on his hair. While dying to see his partner, he knew he was not allowed. Scavese customs and traditions have always prohibited two partners from seeing each other before the ceremony on the wedding day, with the belief that it would attract bad luck. And due to his position, it was required for him to stay within the lines of tradition. The next door harboured the Emperor Consort, whom himself picked a black suit with a red tie, as his dark hair was already made and his face was shaved by his stylists not too long ago.

The guests have arrived to the castle and were seated according to the seat plan, with many foreign and Scavese aristocracy and nobility being present. Bishop De Gerusalemme rushed to the castle after twenty or so minutes have passed, taking place in front of the wedding arbour. Consort Gabriele later joined Father Nostriano, and a wedding march played as Emperor Gianmarco walked through the isle with Emperor Father Pompeo, marching together arm to arm. He and Gabriele exchanged their first looks, and the priest nodded to sign that he will start the adressing.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered inside this royal estate today to join these two men in holy matrimony." he said, then turning to the Consort. "Gabriele Stancato, son of Stefania Stancato, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, foresaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do, Father." answered Gabriele, flashing a warm smile towards his betrothed.

"And you, Gianmarco Barantella, son of Mariana Barantella, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, foresaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

        "I do." answered the Emperor.

"Now repeat after me. I, Gabriele Stancato, take you, Gianmarco Barantella; to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part."

After the Consort have repeated the vows, it was the turn of the Emperor, and he also repeated the words spoken by Father Nostriano. Prince Dante, the five-year-old child of the royal couple, then approached them both with a pillow on his hands, resting the wedding rings. Gabriele took Gianmarco's ring, saying; "I hand you this ring of promise, as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love before the Lord.". Gianmarco then claimed the ring that is Gabriele's, and repeated the same vows, and then the couple have exchanged their rings by sliding them on each others fingers.

Father Nostriano then took a step forward from the arbour to address both the couple and the crowd. "By the virtue and the authority vested in me under the Crown of Jerusalem and the Holy Archdiocese seated in Bethlehem, I now pronounce you both as husbands, and bless this noble union with my heart, with the almighty hand of Father forever stretching to you. If anyone is to have an objection, speak now or forever keep your silence." said the priest, and after the brief moment of silence, he continued; "And as no objection is heard, you can kiss the groom."

The crowds cheered in happiness as Gabriele grabbed the Emperor by his waist, kissing him in front of the invitees, as they were thrown rice at. The priest then left the arbour, and the wedding then progressed into a banquet that lasted through the night. With the presence of several journalists, the citizens of Scavo would have seen the wedding on their morning paper tomorrow morning, or they would watch it on the news with the permitted footage. The couple would appear to the public for the next two days after their wedding, and the Emperor Consort would receive the Crown of Acre for finally being the married spouse of the Emperor.

Imperial Eagle wrote:Hurricane Ivan makes landfall in Puerto Rico, Federal Response Teams deployed

Hurricane Ivan, the latest storm of the season, has made landfall in Puerto Rico today, with waves reported to be as high as 5 feet as the massive storm pushes further into the mountainous interior of the state. While Ivan is expected to track well away from the U.S. East Coast, it could be a significant threat to Bermuda and may end up sweeping into parts of Atlantic Canada late this week.

Here's what we know about Ivan's latest status and threats.

While Ivan's center is moving away from Puerto Rico, bands of torrential rain continue to hammer the area.

Widespread 5 to 10-inch rainfall totals were reported across much of central, eastern and southern Puerto Rico, with localized amounts from 15 to 20 inches in the mountainous interior.

This triggered life-threatening flash flooding and landslides in several locations in Puerto Rico. Flooding trapped residents in the towns of Arecibo, Barranquitas, Caguas, Coqui, Parcelas La Milagrosa and Patillas, according to reports received by the National Weather Service in San Juan.

A flash flood emergency was issued by the NWS Sunday night for Salinas County, in south-central Puerto Rico. This highest NWS alert was prompted due to life-threatening flash flooding requiring multiple swift-water rescues in Sector San Felipe and Mosquito.

In Utuado, floodwaters washed away a temporary bridge constructed after Hurricane Maria in 2017.

High winds downed trees blocking roads and power had been knocked out to all of Puerto Rico Sunday. Peak wind gusts over 70 mph were reported in several locations, particularly in southern Puerto Rico.

Ivan made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane Sunday near Punta Tocon, on the southwest coast of the island. It was Puerto Rico's first hurricane landfall since the catastrophic strike from Hurricane Maria five years ago this Tuesday.

The Dominican Republic will take the brunt of Ivan's strongest winds through Monday. The southeast Bahamas, Turks and Caicos will then take a brush from Fiona Monday night into Tuesday.

After that, an intensifying Ivan could pose a serious danger to Bermuda late Thursday into early Friday, then could threaten parts of Atlantic Canada either as a hurricane or an intense post-tropical cyclone Friday night into Saturday.

Interests in Bermuda, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland should monitor the forecast of Ivan closely.

Ivan will remain well off the U.S. East Coast.

A hurricane warning is in effect for Puerto Rico, the eastern Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos, meaning hurricane conditions are occurring or soon will occur.

Other tropical storm watches and warnings and hurricane watches are in effect from the southeast Bahamas to other parts of the Dominican Republic.

Rainfall in Puerto Rico may total 12 to 20 inches with locally up to 30 inches possible, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Rainfall totals of 4 to 8 inches are expected in the Dominican Republic, with locally higher amounts of up to 12 inches possible.

The British and U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the Turks and Caicos, may receive 3 to 6 inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts from Fiona.

The heavy rain in these areas will trigger dangerous flooding and mudslides, particularly over mountainous terrain.

A storm surge of 3 to 5 feet above normal high tide levels is expected in areas of onshore flow in the Dominican Republic.

Coastal flooding of 1 to 2 feet is expected in southern Puerto Rico until the storm begins to move away later Monday.

Although Ivan will track well away from the U.S. East Coast, it will produce high surf along the coast, particularly from Wednesday through Saturday. That will contribute to a threat of dangerous rip currents.

After battling wind shear and dry air, a tropical wave finally maintained enough thunderstorms to be classified Tropical Depression Seven on Sept. 14, when it was 800 miles east of the Leeward Islands.

It then strengthened to Tropical Storm Ivan less than 12 hours later that night.

Ivan's center moved directly across the island of Guadeloupe on Sept. 16, bringing flooding rain. Melville Hall Airport on Dominica, just south of Guadeloupe, picked up over 14 inches of rain as Ivan passed through.

Ivan became the third hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season on Sept. 18, a few hours before its center crossed the southwestern tip of Puerto Rico.

Tropical Storm nine on verge of becoming major hurricane

Coming on the heel of Hurricane Ivan and eight days after leaving the coast of Africa, the tropical wave designated 98L finally developed, becoming Tropical Depression Nine (TD 9) in the southeastern Caribbean at 5 a.m. EDT Friday. While TD 9 was experiencing hostile wind shear that was limiting it on Friday afternoon, it is expected to rapidly intensify into a hurricane this weekend, and will affect Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, and Florida over the next five days. Satellite imagery and Curacao radar on Friday afternoon showed TD 9 bringing heavy rain showers to the ABC Islands and to the north coast of South America, but struggling with high wind shear: The low-level center was exposed to view, and the system’s relatively scanty heavy thunderstorms were confined to the southwest side of the center. The reason: Outflow from powerful Hurricane Ivan was bringing strong northeasterly winds over TD 9, creating about 20-25 knots of wind shear. Otherwise, conditions were favorable for development, with warm sea surface temperatures of 29-30 degrees Celsius (84-86°F) and a moist atmosphere (a mid-level relative humidity of 70%). At 11 a.m. EDT Friday, TD 9 was 515 miles east-southeast of Jamaica, with top winds of 35 mph, headed west-northwest at 14 mph.

Continued high wind shear from Ivan's upper-level outflow is expected to impede development of TD 9 through Saturday morning, and its close proximity to the coast of South America may also hinder it. Odds for development will rise by Saturday afternoon, when Fiona will be approaching Canada, allowing wind shear over TD 9 to drop to the moderate range, 10-20 knots. Highly favorable conditions for development are expected by Saturday night, when TD 9 will be in the central Caribbean: There, it will find very warm water of 30-31 degrees Celsius (86-88°F) with a high heat content, light wind shear, excellent outflow channels aloft, and a moist atmosphere (a mid-level relative humidity of 70%). The entire northern half of the Caribbean has been free of tropical cyclones all season, so these untouched waters (running about 0.5 degrees Celsius or 0.9 degree Fahrenheit above average for late September) will be particularly ripe for supporting any well-organized cyclone with favorable atmospheric conditions.

The two intensity forecasts from the National Hurricane Center so far have been unusually aggressive. The initial 5 a.m. EDT Friday forecast predicted that TD 9 would reach 110 mph winds by the end of the five-day forecast period. That forecast is only the third time NHC has made such an aggressive forecast in the first advisory for a new system. The other two cases were also for western Caribbean systems: Hurricane Ida in 2021 and Hurricane Iota in 2020. Both of those hurricanes ended up rapidly intensifying to category 4 storms, exceeding the initial intensity forecast from NHC.

The 11 a.m. EDT Friday NHC forecast for TD 9 was also very aggressive, explicitly predicting rapid intensification. Beginning on Sunday morning, when TD 9 will be south of Jamaica, NHC predicted TD 9 to go from a tropical storm with 50 mph winds to a category 1 hurricane with 85 mph winds in 24 hours. This meets the minimum definition of rapid intensification, which is a 35 mph increase in winds in 24 hours.

Continued intensification is predicted on Monday, when TD 9 will be passing through the Cayman Islands and approaching western Cuba. Crossing Cuba is likely to interrupt the intensification process, and if TD 9 passes over one of the more mountainous portions of the island (Figure 1), it is possible that the storm will take a day or more to recover and resume intensifying. In addition, TD 9 may be hampered at that time by an increase in wind shear, as an upper-level low to the west of Cuba brings a southerly flow of upper-level winds over the storm.

NHC currently has TD 9 topping out as a category 3 hurricane with 115 mph winds on Wednesday morning near the coast of southwestern Florida, but this forecast should be regarded as highly uncertain. TD 9 could plausibly be as weak as a category 1 hurricane, or as strong as a category 4, when it makes its closest approach to Florida next week

It would not be a surprise if TD 9 rapidly intensified at a greater rate than NHC is predicting: The western Caribbean is a notorious breeding ground for major hurricanes, and the top intensity model for making 4- and 5-day forecasts for Hurricane Ivan, the HWRF model, was predicting that TD 9 would reach category 4 strength in six days, as was the top intensity model from 2021, the HMON

The spread in model track solutions for TD 9 continues to be large, with impacts to Central America, Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Cuba, Florida, and the Bahamas all in play. As of Friday early afternoon, it appears that Central America is at relatively low risk of a direct hit, though heavy rains from the storm may affect coastal Honduras beginning on Sunday. Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula is not in the NHC cone, but some of the members of the 12Z Friday GFS ensemble forecast showed TD 9 passing very close to the northeastern tip of the peninsula, so residents there need to pay attention to future forecasts.

The eventual track of TD 9 will depend heavily on what happens during the coming 24 hours, when the storm will be weak and subject to considerable shifts in position. These can occur because of relatively subtle changes in the steering flow, and from center reformations when wind shear rips into the core of TD 9. By Saturday, when TD 9 should have a stronger circulation and be a tropical storm, we will have a much better idea where it is going. It appears highly likely that Jamaica will miss a direct hit, but the island will still receive damaging rains of 4 – 8 inches. The Cayman Islands could receive a direct hit, and Cuba is highly likely to receive a direct hit, possibly by a major hurricane. The threat to Florida is more murky, with most of the peninsula south of the Panhandle in the NHC 5-day cone of uncertainty. Residents of the western Bahamas should also be paying attention, since they are also in the 5-day cone of uncertainty. In all these areas, preparations for the arrival of the storm should be given high priority.

The Yaratonian Ministry of Interior

After reviewing the situation of the Tropical Depression Nine, and its possibility of becoming a Hurricane that could potential hit Western Yaratona, mainly Esperanza, and other settlements, El Presidente Luis Castillo, has declared a state of emergency, and made the forces of the FND and the Organización Nacional de Respuesta a las Emergencias (ONRE) ready to help anyone in need in the region. Preparations are currently being made to make sure that there are enough emergency food, water, and medical supplies in stockpile in the region. Citizens were advised to stay indoors and prepare for evacuation.

Office of the Prime Minister

Statement on the passing of Annex A

The Office of the Prime Minister, Jack Kelly, has released the following statement after the passing of Annex A:

“Canada hereby condemns the passing of Annex A, specifically the first clause of expelling Sibirskiy soyuz from the UAN. This undermines the sovereignty of Sibirskiy soyuz and its place on the world stage. Sibirskiy soyuz will have no representatives in the UAN and will not have a voice after Annex A was passed. We also say to your neighbors to the south who voted for Annex A, Imperial Eagle, who are suppose to uphold the fundamentals of democratic values and equal representativeness that the West holds dear, why?

If Sibirskiy soyuz is kicked out of the UAN, why must it conduct a referendum based on the decision of the UAN if it isn’t legally apart of it?

We condemn the government and the delegation from Imperial Eagle, Sohongida, The turanist peoples of hungary, Union centrafricaine, Turco-Bulgaria, People united federation of japan, Cccp-, and Central America Federation for voting in favor of Annex A.

As Canada is a member state of the UAN, we are willing to make sure that the voice of the Eurasian government is heard in the UAN through our delegation to the UAN. Upon acceptance from the Sibirskiy soyuz, Canada will ensure that their voice is heard through our delegation and will bring up any proposals to the UAN on their behalf”.

Message from the Infinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

~~Addressee - The government of Al-jammahiriyya al-masriyya ~~

Zastvu, Respected neighbor,

On behalf of the Imperial Federation, I am reaching out to organize a summit regarding the future of our two nations. As neighboring nations, we believe it is crucial that not only we have a strong working relationship, but that our borders and territorial sovereignty are well and clearly defined. Furthermore, regarding the Nile river that we share, it is imperative for the well-being of many of the communities that we have precise arrangements for the flow of the river, the demands of food and energy, and the prevention of damaging floods.

I would also like to raise the issue surrounding Meroë. This historic site plays an important role in the cultural heritage of the Imperial Federation, the exact border of the Imperial Federation and the Republic of Egypt around Lake Turkana, and the historical Infinian claims onto the East Bank of the River Nile.

I hope that a strong working relationship between our nations can be the cornerstone on which we bring prosperity to Infinian and Egyptian people, as well as the many other peoples that live in our nations. Should you share that desire, I would cordially invite a delegation to meet with me, Prime Minister Lena Ciseya, and Governors Aisha Yamil of Dilugiya and Phara Covalenca of Gazci, the two most important states for the future of the Egyptian-Infininian relations.

Cordially,

Xitan Minenko

Chapter III

Following the government meeting, Prime Minister Daria Shchegolyayeva gets up from her seat immediately and walks over to her deputy Aleksandr Eybozhenko. She leans into his ear and quietly states to him “my office, immediately”. She immediately turns on her heels and walks out of the meeting room to her office while Eybozhenko shakes his head and gathers his files slowly, being one of the last to leave the room.

When Eybozhenko reaches Shchegolyayeva’s office, he is instructed by the secretary outside to proceed straight through. He opens the door, Shchegolyayeva is standing by a window in her office. Eybozhenko shuts the door behind him and states: “Look Daria, I don’t know what is going on here but there is absolutely no way Bolushkina can be made General of the Police. I mean Akinfeev is not the only one ahead of her in the pecking order.”

Shchegolyayeva still looking out the window, turns slowly to face Eybozhenko. “Please, sit down Aleksandr.” She gestures towards the chair in front of her desk which Eybozhenko sits down on. “Care for a drink?” Shchegolyayeva asks. “No thank you.” Eybozhenko quickly responds.

Shchegolyayeva slowly walks over to the desk and leans on it, facing Eybozhenko. “Aleksandr, we have worked together for what, over 15 years now? I remember welcoming you into the Kadets back in 2007. I remember the following year backing you for re-election which was a great success. In 2013, I made you Minister of Police & Defence, your dream job according to your own words. In 2018, I made you Deputy Prime Minister, the highest office I could offer. But yet after all of that, you can’t do this one thing for me.”

Eybozhenko shakes his head and laughs. “I have made it known before how grateful I am for those opportunities Daria, I have worked hard for those positions and continue to do so. In return I have supported you publicly for all those years even though privately I have not approved of everything you have done. So don’t try and make it out that I owe you a favour. Even if I did, a bit of honesty would be nice.

Shchegolyayeva turns her head slightly, staring directly at Eybozhenko. “Are you accusing me of lying?”

Eybozhenko: “Maybe. I know for a fact the reasons you stated for wanting Bolushkina in the top job are not the REAL reason you want her there. So tell me, what is the real reason Daria.”

Shchegolyayeva: “I made myself clear in the meeting so I won’t repeat myself. If you have a hard time understanding my reasons then that is on you Aleksandr. The fact you think I am hiding something from you leads me to believe you have a rather poor opinion of me.”

Eybozhenko rolls his eyes. “C’mon Daria you are not fooling me. I know what you are like, we all do. You only care about yourself and getting what you want, so I know making Bolushkina General means that there is something in this for you. Now what you do in your job is your business. But I will not let my department be corrupted by you.”

Shchegolyayeva pauses for a moment, staring at Eybozhenko before uttering: “Make Bolushkina the General of Police or be dismissed from my government. Now I suggest you get out of my office before you something you really will regret.”

Eybozhenko stands up and smiles. “In that case, you will have my resignation notice on your desk by tomorrow morning. I’d say it was a pleasure, but truth is, I never liked you Daria. I do look forward to the next elections which I imagine will come sooner rather than later.” He then turns for the door and leaves the room.

Shchegolyayeva walks around to her chair behind her desk and sits down, letting out an audible exhale. Her phone begins to ring on her desk, the name “Pharmacy” once again popping up on the screen. She stares at the phone for a moment before answering.

Pharmacy: “I hope you had a constructive meeting. I trust all is in order.”

Shchegolyayeva: “No, far from it. You have no idea what kind of mess this has caused.”

Pharmacy: “Well, there was me thinking you were the puppet master who has all their ministers on little strings. You aren’t going to let me down now are you?”

Shchegolyayeva: “I’ll get it done. But you owe me big for this one.”

Pharmacy: “I will be the judge of what is owed. You know me, ill give fair pay for a fair days work. Speaking of which I better not keep you any longer, by the sounds of it you will have a busy few weeks ahead of you.”

BREAKING: Deputy PM Aleksandr Eybozhenko Resigns from Government and the Kadets.

Eybozhenko called a press conference at short notice to announce that he had tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister in a shock move few saw coming.

Today a snap press conference was hosted by Aleksandr Eybozhenko to announce his immediate resignation as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Police & Defence, while also continuing to announce his resignation from the governing Constitutional Democratic Party “Kadets”.

Eybozhenko stated “my willingness to serve my country finds itself at odds with parallel actions and initiatives of certain members of the cabinet. In particular, disagreements between myself and the Prime Minister have deteriorated to a point that I had no choice but to resign.”

When asked by the press as to the details of these disagreements, Eybozhenko responded by saying “there have been a number of issues in recent years, ultimately I did not agree with the policies and the direction the Prime Minister wants to take. I must be careful in what I say but I think many know the issues surrounding the Prime Minister and some members of her cabinet. That is all I will say on that.”

Eybozhenko stated his intent to continue serving as a senator and representing his constituents, and also mentioned he had “encouraging preliminary discussions” with other senators in creating a new conservative alternative to the Kadets. He refused to name those he held talks with or to which party they belong to.

to succeed Eybozhenko as Deputy Prime Minister

The loss of Eybozhenko will be a major blow to the government with the Korela senator being one of the most popular political figures in the country. One Kadet senator spoke highly of Eybozhenko and was very disappointed to see him leave, while transport minister Igor Medinsky took a different tone, saying he had betrayed the Prime Minister and his government colleagues in an attempt to further his own political ambitions.

When the Romanovskaya Gazette contacted the Prime Ministers office, Prime Minister Daria Shchegolyayeva was unavailable for comment however her press secretary did provide a pre-written statement which said. “It is with great disappointment to learn that Senator Aleksandr Eybozhenko has taken the decision to resign from government and the Constitutional Democratic Party. I do however wish to thank Senator Eybozhenko for his service to government and the party over the last number years and wish him well for the future.”

The statement also provided details as to Eybozhenko’s successor. Finance Minister Tatiana Konovalova will be appointed as the new Deputy Prime Minister with immediate effect while the Prime Minister will become acting Minister of Police & Defence until a suitable replacement is chosen.

Tatiana Konovalova

Tatiana Anatolyevna Konovalova (Russian: Татьяна Анатольевна Коновалова; born in Tsaryovo, Lapvesky District, 01 July 1966) is a Romanovan politician and economist who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Romanovskaya since 2022 and as Minister of Finance of since 2013.

She previously served as the Minister of Health from 2011 to 2013. She has served as a member of the Senate since 2008.

From 1999 to 2008 she served as a councillor the Lapvesky District Council, originally as a Social Democrats councillor before switching in 2007 to the Constitutional Democratic Party. She was then elected to the Senate in 2008 supporting the new Shchegolyayeva government.

Early Life

Konovalova was born on 17th October 1966 in Tsaryovo, Lapvesky Uyezd. Her grandparents originally came from the Kharkov region of Ukraine although Konovalova has admitted she can only speak a small amount of Ukrainian.

She graduated from high school in 1983 before attending University of Vyborg to study economics. Along with her study, she also worked for an engineering and construction firm as a secretary-typist. In 1988, Konovalova received a diploma from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Vyborg

In 1989-1993 she worked for Romkomzem on the Committee on Land Resources and Land Management where she held a number of positions. In 1993 she took up a job in the Ministry of Finance in the department of economic development. In 1997 she was chosen by then Minister of Finance Daria Shchegolyayeva to become the Director of Department for Economic Development of the Ministry of Finance.

Political Career

Lapvesky District Council

In November 1999 Konovalova, as a Social Democrats candidate, was elected to the Lapvesky District Council, where she joined the opposition ranks of the the CDP "Kadets" controlled council. In 2002 she became the leader of the opposition of the council. In 2003, the Social Democrats selected Konovalova to run in the Senate elections for Tsaryovo City South constituency, although she failed to get elected and finished a disappointing fourth place with 9.6% of the vote.

In 2004, according to the deputy leader of the Social Democrats Marrti Hägglund, Konovalova had received an offer from Shchegolyayeva to join the Kadets for the upcoming local elections, but Konovalova refused. She was subsequently re-elected to the Lapvesky District Council. She opposed the election of Kadets candidate Mikhail Suverov as governor of the district, and created the "Committee Against Lies" to fight him.

Joining the Kadets

In October 2007, she left the Social Democrats and joined the Constitutional Democratic Party "Kadets" . According to the executive secretary of the Political Committee of the Social Democrats Galina Trukhova , her departure is connected with the desire to move to a favourable constituency and get a place in the Senate of Romanovskaya, which the party could not guarantee her. The leader of the Social Democrats, Sergei Kuzmitsky, explained Konovalova's transition to the Kadets as follows: “She asked to be moved to Kymen and be given an apartment and a car. We, of course, did not have such funds. But the Kadets certainly had them”.

In May 2008, she was selected by the Kadets to be their candidate in the upcoming Senate elections for the Tsaryovo City South constituency which she has ran previously unsuccessfully as a Social Democrat candidate. She was elected although by a much tighter margin than what was expected as she defeated the Social Democrat candidate by just 257 votes. The reason for this was put down to traditional Kadets voters not trusting a former Social Democrat, while others felt she had betrayed her own party for her own self interests.

The Senate

Konovalova addressing the Zemsky Sobor

Following her election to the Senate, she created the "Conservative Patriots of the Kadets" club, a movement within the Kadet party to push it towards more traditional conservatism. Although not a member, Prime Minister Daria Shchegolyayeva endorsed the club.

In March 2010, Konovalova was chosen to head the committee on security and anti-corruption, as well as co-chairman of the commission for reviewing national budget expenditures aimed at ensuring national defense, national security and law enforcement.

In 2011, she was selected by the Prime Minister to become the new Minister of Health. During her time as Health minister, Konovalova initiated and contributed to the introduction and implementation of a set of public health regulations including full ban on smoking in all closed public places, the decrease of trans-fatty acids content of foodstuffs, introduction of HPV vaccination for adolescent girls, and the introduction of public health product tax (PHPT) on food and beverages with added salt and sugar content.

Minister of Finance

Following her re-election in 2013, Shchegolyayeva reshuffled her cabinet and made Konovalova Minister of Finance. Shortly after her appointment, major credit rating agencies downgraded Romanovan debt to a non-investment speculative grade, commonly called "junk status". This was in part because of political changes creating doubts about the independence of the Romanovan Central Bank.

After a mild recession in 2014, the Romanovan economy has grown each year by around 3-4%, with Konovalova implementing policies to streamline taxation, and reducing corporation tax rates. She also created the Rural Renewal Scheme in an effort to accelorate development of the rural parts of Romanovskaya, particularly in the eastern part of the country which has shown positive signs, despite allegations that the scheme has been prone to corruption.

In 2020, she drafted a bill that tightens control over non-profit organizations (NPOs) that receive foreign funding and engage in political activities in Romanovskaya, which became known as the " foreign agents law ". By law, foreign agents must register as such with the Ministry of Finance and indicate their status in all media and internet publications . Konovalova also initiated the amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, which provide for large sanctions for non-compliance with the requirements of this law. Konovalova has repeatedly reacted sharply to criticism of the law, calling it “liberal hysteria”.

Deputy Prime Minister

In September 2022, Prime Minister Daria Shchegolyayeva appointed Konovalova to become Deputy Prime Minister following the resignation of Aleksandr Eybozhenko

Socio-Political Views

Konovalova attending a religious ceremony

Since her transition to the Kadets, Konovalova has supported the political and social initiatives of the party, the prime minister and the government. Konovalova's personal views have been described as "conservative-protective", although she has stated she is in favour of conservative modernisation of society.

She advocates for the patriotic education of children, in particular, the introduction of a single state history textbook in all schools. A supporter of tougher penalties for a number of criminal offenses and administrative offenses, as well as the introduction of the death penalty. Actively speaks out with statements about the need to fight corruption and declared the need to for responsible actions to tackle corrupt officials. At the same time, she opposed the initiative of opposition parties to expand the circle of relatives of officials who are required to declare their income.

Konovalova believes that the Internet "destroys the concept of borders, the concept of sovereignty." She further elaborated by saying "modern communications make it possible to interfere with sovereign internal interests and violate the principles of national security." Despite this, Konovalova has a strong online presence regularly updating her website and social media pages.

She has consistently voted with the government in laws that have been considered a breach of the rights of LGBT citizens, such as the 2022 law banning "LGBT Propaganda" in schools.

Konovalova has identified herself as a firm believer in God and Christ, and regularly attends Orthodox church services.

Criticisms

Konovalova's views have changed significantly over the period of her political activity, which allows her opponents to accuse the deputy of being opportunistic and unscrupulous. From 1990-2007, Konovalova was an active supporter of the Social Democrats, had liberal views, and sharply criticized the policies of the Liverovsky government and the Kadets, and even condemned the practice of elected officials transferring from one party to another. According to the head of independent media orginisation Open Romanovskaya, "Konovalova enterred politics for all the right reasons, but the desire to further her political career took over, leading her to abandon her beliefs and betraying those who had supported her up to that point."

Konovalova is known for harsh, sometimes offensive remarks about the opposition. She called protestors in 2014 as "people with bad intentions" that simply "protest for the sake of protest". In 2022 she stated that opposition leaders are “a bunch of people” who “are no different from terrorists, criminals and feed from the same hands”, and that everything "Bezlikyi Investigations" does is “an unscrupulous business project”.

Together with fellow Kadets Senator Kirill Petrov, who is often associated with the vodka lobby, Konovalova during her time as a senator repeatedly came up with initiatives and bills raising the tax on beer, low-alcohol products and energy drinks, while leaving liquors untouched. In this regard, Konovalova herself was also ranked among the lobbyists of producers of strong alcoholic beverages.

Since 2013 when she became Minister of Finance, Konovalova was often absent from meetings of the Senate, trusting (contrary to the Senate Regulations) her voting card to her colleagues. In 2020, Konovalova was named as the senator who most frequently missed meetings of the Senate. In 2021, she was once again ranked the highest for amount of missed meetings of the Senate.

Personal Life

Family

Her husband is Viktor Aleksandrovich Konovalov, an entrepreneur and co-owner of one of the Kymen fish factories. He has also served as a councillor for Kymen City Council since 2010 as a member of the Kadets. Together they have two children, Elvira and Alexei.

Her brother Anatoly Kistersky, heads the department responsible for the Rural Renewal Scheme of the Ministry of Finance.

Property & Income

In February 2022, Bezlikyi reported that, according to documents at its disposal, Tatiana Konovalova lives in the "elite" complex "Korelasky-73" on the banks of the Burnaya Reka, in a villa that was not included in their official declaration and was purchased with income obscure origin. According to one consulting company , the cost of the house was approximately 6.5 million US dollars (93 million Imperial Rubles), while Konovalova's declared income in the previous year amounted to about 2 million imperial rubles. In response to publications in the press, a representative of Konovalova said that “according to the law, Minister Konovalova has declared all her property as well as her husbands and minor children, and the villa in question belongs to a private company of which Minister Konovalova has no affiliation to. That is, there are no violations of the law here and there is no reason for further explanations."

Officially, Konovalova has declared that she and her husband own a family home in Kymen, and rent an office in Tsaryovo as well as an apartment in Vyborg, both of which are used for her job." They also have three vehicles declared.

With the approval of UANGA/DRES/4, we expect that the guarantees of security demanded by the Kremlin have been properly addressed by the document, allowing ties between our two peoples to resume as soon as it possible. The International Consensus and Resolution on the Soviet-Eurasian Affair

            The General Assembly,

Guided by its purpose to preserve freedom, self-determination, and sovereignty for each country, through
comprehensive diplomatic negotiations with the sole objective of preserving World Peace,

Recalling Member States' obligations and commitments to one another to promote peaceful diplomatic
mechanisms for dispute resolution as much as possible,

Noting that a serious divergence of views exists among Member States concerning the potential representation
            and sovereignty of a Member,

Recalling once more that serious divergences of views should be resolved through democratic process in
            which the majority prevails,

Recognizing the legal, political, social, and precedental importance of Eurasian sovereignty for trans-Uralic
            relations,

Considering the restoration of the lawful rights of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is essential both
for the protection of the democratic interests of the Eurasian peoples and for the cause that the United
Assembly of Nations must serve under its purpose,

Recognizing that the representatives of the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics are the
only lawful representatives of the Russian region to the United Assembly of Nations,

            Hereby:

            1. Decides to confim all its rights to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and to recognize the
representatives of its Government as the only legitimate representatives of Russia to the United Assembly
of Nations, and to expel forthwith the representatives of Yevgeny Berdnikov from the place which they
unlawfully occupy at the United Assembly of Nations and in all the organizations related to it.

            2. Resolves that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, upon the enactment of either one of the Annexes
of the International Consensus, namely Annex A or Annex B, hereby commits to refrain from engaging in
military or para-military actions, either overtly or covertly, against the territory and the people of the
Eurasian Union, as to not jeopardize the posterior process of negotiations that may arise following the
              enactment of The International Consensus.
Amendment #1 proposed by Sibirskiy soyuz; accepted by majority vote.

            3. Resolves that the Eurasian Union, upon the enactment of either one of the Annexes of The International
Consensus, namely Annex A or Annex B, hereby commits to refrain from engaging in military or para-military
actions, either overtly or covertly, against the territory and the people of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics,
as to not jeopardize the posterior process of negotiations that may arise following the enactment of The
              International Consensus.
Amendment #2 proposed by Cccp-; accepted by majority vote.

            4. Resolves that the Eurasian Union, upon the enactment of either one of the Annexes of The International
Consensus, namely Annex A or Annex B, hereby commits to the signature of an official document before the
UAN General Assembly, by which the Eurasian Government will establish a Non-Aggression Clause with the
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, following a previous reestablishment of official diplomatic state-to-state
ties or state-to-polity ties between the two countries, in the event of the adoption of Annex A or Annex B,
              respectively.
Amendment #2.1 proposed by Sibirskiy soyuz; accepted by unanimous vote.

            5. Resolves that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Eurasian Union, upon the enactment of
either one of the Annexes of The International Consensus, namely Annex A or Annex A, hereby commit
              to holding two separate referendums:

A free and democratic referendum, to take place in the current territory of the Russian Soviet
Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR), of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)

A free and democratic referendum, to take place in the Siberian Republic (SR) of the Eurasian Union (EU),

with the aim of understanding the will of all citizens, older than 18 years of age, inhabiting the territories
located within the political borders of the pre-1991 Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR),
so that both Governments can act in accordance to the popular votes, and thereby negotiate a comprehensive
and sensible approach that will allow a final, diplomatic resolution of the Eurasian-Soviet crisis, for the
continued preservation of inter-ethnic coexistence and peace in both nations.
Amendment #3.1 proposed by Sibirskiy soyuz; accepted by majority vote.

            6. Resolves that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Eurasian Union, upon the enactment of either
one of the Annexes of the International Consensus, namely Annex A or Annex B, hereby commits to preserving

pre-1991 Soviet Union Referendum borders. Both governments commit to preserving the freedom of movement
throughout the aforementioned territory to all Russian inhabitants.

Topic: UAN Vote Results

Moscow — The Soviet Foreign Ministry is honored to receive the results where the world, in an ample majority, has upheld and respected democracy. The results of the 1991 Soviet Union Referendum were clear in stating the will of the Russian people - we are glad that the world still respects that democratic autonomy. Even though there are nations across the world that pretend to respect democracy only when it’s convenient for them, we believe that only a diplomatic solution will resolve the Eurasian Question. The results of this vote will not only facilitate but encourage a diplomatic exit that prevents war and suffering. Indeed, today’s results recognized one simple fact: The Russian People deserve to be together, joined as a single people. To our brothers and sisters in the Eurasian Union, we wish to reach out and negotiate. Let diplomacy ring and deafen the ears of war hawks! Let’s come together, as a family, and negotiate a treaty that will right a wrong, that will correct a mistake committed 3 decades ago. We must reach a peaceful compromise and we hope you are open to the same. We hope that Vyborg will be a good location, if their government agrees, to meet and reach a compromise that respects the will of the people in the 1991 Soviet Union Referendum.

Far eastern union of soviet republics

Hey everyone, remember how ~1 week ago Jim called for a consultation on rule changes? Well the RA has done a bit of tinkering and we're ready for it to be voted through!

The proposed amendments are here:

.
.

REGIONAL RULES (2.0)
.
.

This document contains multiple proposed amendments of the Regional Rules. Please give the document a thorough read and case your vote accordingly on whether such an amendment should be adopted. The amended portions are contained A[within the square brackets with a superscript A (for amendment).]

.
.
Out Of Character (OOC) Rules
.
.

1A[A]. The Regional Rules will constitute of those included in this Factbook, which will be maintained and updated by the Regional Administration (RA).

A[1B. The Regional Administration (RA) shall consist of the Founder, Roleplay Coordinators, Chancellor, Cartographer, Events Coordinator, Historian, and Economics Coordinator.]

2A. The Roleplay (RP) Coordinators have ultimate authority on matters of RP, barring the intervention of the Chancellor (in the Founder's place) or the Founder.

2B. The Founder, acting on the best interests of the region, reserves the right to make changes and implement new rules without a regional vote.

2C. In absence of the Founder, the Chancellor is authorized to act on his/her behalf, taking into consideration the best interests of the region.

A[2D. The Economics Coordinator(s) will advise the RA on economic matters including, but not limited to, national budgets, major projects, and economic consequences of conflicts, sanctions, etc. The Roleplay Coordinators should take into account the Economics Coordinators' advice when determining the integrity of a Player's RP.

The office of Economics Coordinator shall reside with the Roleplay Coordinators where there are no viable or present candidates for the office of Economics Coordinator.]

3. Remarks, statements and other ways of expression of an inflammatory, insulting, abusive, racist, xenophobic or discriminatory nature will not be tolerated, on the RMB, via TG nor in the Regional Discord. Failure to comply with this rule shall result in immediate banjection of the offending player from the region.

Starting, maintaining, or encouraging divisive arguments will not be permitted on the RMB under any circumstances. As such, these discussions should take place either through TG or in #discussion on the Regional Discord, in a civilized and respectful manner. Non compliance of this rule shall be penalized by the RA.

4. OOC (Out of Character) discussion on the RMB is permitted. However, his is to be kept to an absolute minimum. If a RP-participating nation requests for OOC discussion on the RMB to end, it is expected that said OOC talk will be continued via TG or another method of discussion.

5A. 20 consecutive days without RPing or posting on the RMB constitutes grounds for removal from the map. Legitimate reasons for this inactivity will be evaluated on a case by case basis, but in most cases, there must be warning given to the RA before said period of inactivity begins.

5B. If there are 3 consecutive periods of 15 days without RPing or posting on the RMB, the RP Coordinators reserve the right to remove your nation from the map. This applies even with short intermediary periods of minimal posting.

5C. If a nation does not post within five days of being accepted, they will be removed from the map.

5D. All nations that leave the map will have their territories revert back to being NPCs. Territories may not be gifted or given to another nation should a player decide to leave.

6A. Any nation that leaves the region of their own volition will be required to re-apply for membership should it decide to return to Geopolity.

6B. A nation ejected from the World Assembly (WA) for rule violations, or having left the WA intentionally, must re-apply if that nation re-joins the World Assembly.

7A. A complaint (whether regarding RP or OOC matters) shall be submitted to the RA Staff and processed through one of the following mediums:

· The Regional Discord
· via TG.

The player may add a witness who shall observe the proceeding while the RA shall bring an additional random player to observe. The RA reserves the right to add or remove a channel for complaint based on the usage of said medium except via TG.

7B. As a result of the aforementioned rule, complaints are to be hereby extremely limited in nature on the RMB. If it is considered to be excessive by an RP Coordinator, they reserve the right to warn you to stop and suppress your posts if this is ignored. They will then tell said player to have their complaints done via one of the aforementioned methods, and RP is to resume as normal.

8. After being banjected from the region, no player that has been banjected may return unless removed from the banjection list by an RA vote.

9. Only persons who have had their RP application accepted may post on the RMB. All other posts will be suppressed until said person submits and has his/her application accepted by the RA.

10. With the exception of the Founder and Chancellor, all other officials in the Regional Administration shall serve for a period of time of 3 RL months (~90 days), starting the day after their election.

Once this term has finished, elections will begin for all available elected positions, and any person, either previously running RA member or not, must announce their intent to run again. A vote on if that person is satisfactory for the position will be done if there is only one person (or three, in the case of the Roleplay Coordinators) running, or a vote asking to select between the various candidates would be done if there is more than that number.

.
.
Roleplay Rules
.
.

11. Time progresses at a rate of 1 day IRL = 1 week in RP. (Exceptions apply to Character RP, where time may move much more slowly).

12A. All NPC nations are believed to be their real life, or as close to real life equivalent as they can be made. This does not mean that NPC nations will have international ties, such as defensive pacts.

12B. Real life figures of major importance may not be used in RP. They may of course be mentioned in history (provided that they closely mirror their RL persona). This is evaluated on a case by case basis by the RP coordinators.

13A. Limited NPC interaction (such as trade and/or tourism) will be permitted, so long as there is accurate support for this trade or tourism. So long as what you are RPing has no dynamic effect on the NPC nations (e.g. inciting an armed insurrection in an NPC country), then said interactions will be tolerated. This will be regulated by the RP Coordinators on an as-needed basis.

13B. Automated trade with an NPC is allowed unless the player states otherwise (through RMB or Factbook). This trade shall be based on the RL trade existing between both countries. This does not apply to corporations: the player in question must ask permission from the RA before having one of his/her companies operate in an NPC, and any attempt to have corporations operate in NPCs without permission from the RA will be invalidated.

14A. Players are not permitted to RP for or within another nation without their express permission.

14B. Propaganda and the like are permitted. However, if this becomes too inflammatory, the RP Coordinators retain the right to intervene on this matter.

15. Wars must be consented to by both sides. If one side does not consent, the war will not occur.

A[Consent may be explicit or implicit. Consent may be implied through RP actions such as extreme provocations or breaches of treaty obligations. There may be repercussions if implied consent is refused. ]

Try to make war a last resort option. Attempt diplomacy first, as done in real life politics. If war were to break out and your nation has Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs), refrain from using them if the situation is not desperate. WMDs should be the final resort option in war, because of their devastating consequences. A[The RA will assess this on a case-by-case basis.]

16. To expand your land claim - including during a war with another member nation - an application must be submitted to, and approved by, the Regional Administration. This can be viewed in the Application Form Factbook.

17A. The use of biological, nuclear, and radiological weapons must be approved by a RP Coordinator. The use of chemical weapons is openly permitted, so long as your nation has the ability IRL to produce said weapons, and has developed the ability through RP, or has purchased them from nations that have this capability.

17B. Nations can develop a WMD program, but must submit an application of the program they wish to pursue to the Regional Administration for approval. Research is strongly advised to determine costs of these programs with source material for costs being provided (Wikipedia, Mainstream news sources, Educational sources).

Each application will be reviewed on a case of case basis to ensure realism for the nation applying. Costs and timeline will be different for each nation. For example, North Korea can’t achieve the same level of Nuclear power as The United States due to economic burden, as such nations that do not have a strong economic output will take longer to develop a program. This application may be found here.

17C. Nations without naturally occurring sources of material must gain the material from elsewhere, and must be sourced from another Player Nation. Material from an NPC is not allowed.

17D. A nation can develop technology in-house for weapons, but without prior experience, they must do so at a slower pace. If a nation receives technological experience from a nation currently possessing such weapons, the timeline can speed up. The speed of development will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Regional Administration. Nations wishing to develop stronger capabilities of a Nuclear Weapons program can do so with out re-applying, but must do so realistically. All development of nuclear capabilities will be monitored by the Regional Administration.

17E. Weapons being developed must have a real life equivalent, including delivery applications, with links being provided in the application to show what is being developed, and may cannot exceed the tonnage of the Tsar Bomba at a 50 Mt yield.

17F. Nations testing devices must roleplay out the affects of certain devices, especially of Nuclear Weapons, rather this is negative or not.

17G. Nations wishing to develop different chemical, biological or radioactive weapons must re-apply for each different program to ensure realism.

17H. All usage of these weapons, testing or utilization in warfare, will be monitored by the Regional Administration. Usage of WMD’s on another Nation(s) (non-NPC) is allowed with the consent of all involved, with approval from the regional administration.

17I. Some secrecy may be involved initially, but once testing begins, for Nuclear Weapons especially, nations will be able to respond to the testing. Chemical, Biological and radiological weapons may eventually be found and roleplayed, and will be monitored on a case by case basis by the Regional Administration.

18. 0.4% of your population is the recommended maximum for active forces during peacetime. If your figure is higher, it will be expected that economic problems will begin to arise within your nation. In wartime, this cap is lifted and a realistic limit placed by the RP Coordinators depending on the severity of the situation. This process will be observed closely by the RP Coordinators.

19. If military equipment is not listed in your application, then it will be presumed you use equipment of your primary real life constituent (The RL country that makes up the most of your claim). This means that a country based out of North Korea could not field modern American equipment unless they had stated that in their application, or purchased/developed it through RP. Limits will be placed on what a nation can develop in RP.

20. The technology level for this region is Modern Tech.
All military equipment must have a real life equivalent, or at the very least expected to be completed and tested within the next five years. RP developments will be heavily monitored by the RP Coordinators, making sure that they occur at a realistic pace. Some types of equipment may have this rule more strictly applied (i.e. Aircraft) than others (i.e. Naval vessels).

21. The provisions of the RL Antarctic Treaty System will apply in Roleplay.
While accepted nations are not forbidden to claim territory in the Antarctic continent, in practice said claim will not form part of their country, and will not necessarily be recognized by the rest of the players. Roleplay taking place in the Antarctic continent will be restricted to diplomatic, environmental and/or scientific aspects.

22. The provisions of the RL UN Convention on the Law of the Sea III will apply in Roleplay.
Further information can be found Linkhere:

The following places are classified as international waterways:

  • Danish Straits

  • Strait of Gibraltar

  • Dardanelles Strait

  • Bosphorus Strait

  • Suez Canal

  • Panama Canal

  • Strait of Hormuz

  • Bab-el-Mandeb Strait

  • Strait of Malacca

Players owning these waterways partially or fully will not restrict other players from transiting said waterways, as long they have peaceful purposes. Nations seeking to transport military vessels through the aforementioned passages might have their ships' access denied by the controlling player/s.

A[The term "restrict" shall be defined as any intentional in-game action which directly deprives or limits access through an international waterway. This may include, subject to reasonable grounds:

  • Blockades;

  • Boardings and inspections;

  • Denial of passage; or

  • Physical attacks on maritime vessels.

Reasonable grounds may include, but are not limited to, counter-narcotics measures, compliance measures with international obligations, and UAN resolutions. ]

Restricting passage to a nation seeking to transit peacefully, and with whom the controlling player is not at war with, can be interpreted as a casus belli by the affected country, depending on the context.

This will be monitored *in extreme detail* by the RP Coordinators as to not overlap with Rule 15.

23. Members will not be allowed to repost content as an excuse to maintain activity. Members commit themselves to refrain from fully or partially reposting RP content made in Geopolity or other regions, in an account of their ownership.

The purpose of this rule is to maintain and encourage original content in our region.

If a member is found to be breaching this rule, punitive measures will be applied at the RA's discretion.

24. Natural disasters (meteorological, geological & hydrological events, A[disease outbreaks, plagues/pests], etcetera) shall be canonic in RP. All members will be required to be aware of such events happening in the geographic location and/or vicinities of their claim, and to RP them as they happen in RL, adequating all pertinent details to the RP world.

25A. A GDP cap of USD/RC$ 18 trillion shall apply for all countries in RP. Having reached that number, players will be allowed to continue roleplaying economic growth and/or expansion events, but said RP will not translate to changes that will allow them to exceed that value.

25B. A discretionary limit of 3,287,956 square miles (8,515,767 sq km) shall be applied. Having reached or exceeded that number, the RA will have to officially review and consider the possibility of applying a landcap to a country. A landcap might be applied or not depending on other factors such as population and GDP numbers, and will vary on a case-by-case basis.

25C. Specific GDP per capita limits shall apply to the RP African continent.
A base limit of USD/RC$ 4,200 GDP per capita shall apply for all claims located in the continent whose RL values in that aspect are found to be below that number.
An upper limit of USD/RC$ 15,000 GDP per capita shall apply to the entirety of the continent. However, once an African country has reached that upper limit, players will be allowed to continue roleplaying economic growth and/or expansion events, but said RP will not translate to changes that will allow them to exceed that value, regardless if their nominal GDP figure hasn’t reached the $18 trillion GDP cap limit.

A[26. The RA may retrospectively invalidate any RP action if:

    a) The RP action in question is an egregious breach of Regional Rules or realism; and
    b) The RP action in question occurred during the past 6 months.
    ]

A[27. Upon arbitrating on any RP dispute, the RA must publish its decision and each member's summarized opinion in a public log to ensure transparency in substantive reasoning.
The identities of each opinion's author will be anonymized.]

A[28. A player cannot void their RP if:

    a) It actively involves other players or the region as a whole;
    b) It is a war or other armed conflict;
    c) It is found that the player habitually voids their RP.]

The poll will be up for a week. Open for RPing nations only (Resident + WA). Pls vote and we'll see how it goes!
