Evergreen Korea Party introduces guaranteed minimum income bill in the Minuiwon

Choi Jang-mi, Deputy Chief National Parliament Correspondent

Evergreen Korea Party Chairman Ahn Cheol-soo speaks on the House Floor / KBS

SEOUL– Chairman of the Evergreen Korea Party Ahn Cheol-soo has introduced a bill into the Minuiwon that would grant every citizen in the New Korean Empire a guaranteed minimum income. The bill, which has been titled the 'Everyone Lives Fairly Act', would require that those who apply for the GMI grant must prove that they are citizens of the country, pass a means test, and must have a willingness to participate in the labor market. The bill's benefits would include a social safety net that would aid those who do not have sufficient financial means in surviving at the social minimum. This would be by the individual receiving a loan from the government that would be "repaid" through acts of community service or work hours in the labor market that are recorded. Asked why the Evergreen Korea Party has introduced this bill at a time of which the coronavirus has rocked the country's core, Chairman Ahn had this to say:

If we are to take into account the well-being of each of our citizens with the utmost care, it is clear that many of them are suffering. Whether it be financially, mentally, or physically, we must help our citizens and give them what they need to survive in this changing world. Money is key to that. We cannot allow people to suffer any longer, but we must also take into account that we cannot just give money to everyone. Those who are unwilling to work will not get money to assist them in living; you must be willing to work. I hope all parties will support this bill, as I'm sure the people of this country will.

Ahn's message has indeed resonated with the population of the country. A recent poll by ARIRANG News suggested that 92% fo the country is in favor of this bill, while 1% is against and 7% is undecided/don't know. In addition to public support, multiple members of the Minuiwon and the Chamuiwon have also indicated their support for the bill, including Labour Party General Secretary Park Yong-jin, Hongik Party leader Choi Kyoung-hwan, and Party for the People's Livelihoods leader Sim Sang-jung. Ha Tae-keung, leader of the National Revolutionary Dividends Party, on the other hand, has indicated that his party will be whipping against the bill. On the other hand, the ruling People's New Party for Reform and the opposition Future Korea Party have both indicated that they will be leaving the bill to a free vote amongst its members.

Yeonguijeong Tae Ku-min speaks to reporters outside the National Assembly / KBS

Yeonguijeong Tae Ku-min was asked about the bill in a recent press conference outside the National Assembly after a debate on a bill regarding funding for the military, to which Tae responded that he would "vote in favor of a bill that helps the people, but I will not vote for a bill that helps the elite and produces more red tape for the country's businesses." The Yeonguijeong is a former North Korean diplomat who defected to the South from his post in London. Political scientist at Seoul University Jung Sang-hyun has indicated that Tae isn't playing politics with this bill and that he's "genuinely scared that this bill could hurt the people of the Empire." Imperial spokesperson Ko Min-jung stated today at the Blue Palace Press Briefing that Empress Geunhye "will look at the bill when it arrives at her desk, and decide if she should reject it or give assent when she's read it." If passed, this bill could help some Koreans out of poverty. However, the poverty rate is unlikely to lower should the government not act on welfare for the elderly; half of all Koreans above the age of 65 are currently living in poverty.

Empress Geunhye travels to Turkey to meet President Akşener

Empress Geunhye arrives in Ankara in 2016 / TRT World

PRESIDENTIAL PLANE– Empress Geunhye has departed Seoul today alongside Foreign Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn in route to Ankara to meet with the newly-elected President of Turkey, Meral Akşener. It has been tradition since the founding of the Empire that the Emperor visits the President of Turkey after their election to the position. Empress Geunhye's schedule includes a visit to the tomb of the Eternal President of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a luncheon with President Akşener and her government ministers, and a rally alongside Akşener with the Korean-Turkish population. Unfortunately, according to the Blue Palace, any other events with the President and Empress are considered top-secret, and will not be shared to the public media.

Despite this highly-important visit to a major ally of the state, a key figure is missing from this trip: Yeonguijeong Tae Ku-min. When asked about this, the Office of the Yeonguijeong issued a statement, stating that Mr. Tae is staying back in Seoul to focus on matters of the state. This comes after the Minuiwon had legislation introduced by the ruling party to renew funding for the military security along the Demilitarized Zone. Empress Geunhye has stated herself that she asked Tae to remain in the country to pass this legislation as quickly as possible, stating that it is her intention to "bring peace to the Korean Penninsula by force if need be." The Empress has reportedly been calling for the National Parliament to begin legislation to restart negotiations with the North to end the Korean War in cabinet meetings.

| Hungary Introductory Post |
For many years, we Hungarians have been silent. We've been prioritising our domestic affairs more than our international affairs. We have let our grand nation become unknown or forgotten.

Not today.

. . .

He looked outside the glass pane directly in front of him, glaring at the beauty of the city square. There, he'd twiddle his fingers, procrastinating and contemplating himself. He loved Hungary as much as any other citizen, but he was unsure why he'd let this happen. He'd sit there for a while before he finally stood up. He knows what he'll do to make up for the past years. He rushed on over to a desk and took out stacks of parchment with pen in hand. There, he'd write countless letters not knowing the recipients are. The messages go like this:

Dear Recipient(s),
Salutations. I am János Áder, president of Hungary. You may or may not know us, but we are here. You may have not seen us on the news for quite a while but I have decided to break the silence. I'd like to invite your leader to Budapest where there'd be a nice gathering and ball for us to dance. If that sounds fun, please send a reply. Thank you!

Kind regards,
János Áder, President of Hungary

This message would be delivered to all nations around the world.

WE ARE HUNGARY. GOD SAVE US MAGYARS!

MILITARY PARADE AND VISIT OF GERMAN AND FRENCH LEADERS MARKED TODAY'S VIDOVDAN CELEBRATION IN BELGRADE

June 28th is a holiday known as Vidovdan in Serbia, second most important one after the Constitutional Day on February 15th. It is a day with great historical significance for all the Serbs, due to large number of historical events that happened on that day. On June 28th 1389, Kosovo battle took place between the Serbian and Turkish armies, deciding the future of Balkans for the centuries to come. Significance that battle has had for re-birth of Serbian national movement in early 19th century is with no precedent in European history, and it inspired not just people in Serbia to sacrifice for the national liberation, but also Serbs abroad. On June 28th 1914, young Sarajevo Serb nationalist Gavrilo Princip assassinated archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife and started the spiral of events that led Europe into the first world war. Years later, on June 28th 1948. Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito turned his back to Stalin, being the only leader of the Eastern bloc to do so and politically survive. In years that followed, international importance of SFRJ grew because Tito was a figure that could easily represent Western interests for the East and Eastern for the West. Less than a decade after Tito's death, young Serbian communist leader Slobodan Milošević took a chance at speech marking the 600 years since Kosovo battle, on June 28th 1989, to launch himself as a new national leader. Paradoxically, he has been arrested on the same day - June 28th - and sent to Hague tribunal for Yugoslav war crimes, where he eventually died. As it can be seen, these four events, and many others less important, marked national history of Serbia with lines that can never be forgotten and historical lessons well-learned.

Today's celebration has been little more specific than usually, due to presence of two foreign guests. President of The french-state Nicholas Sarkozy and Chancellor of Wulworth Alois Bohmer both came to Vidovdan celebration to Belgrade, using it as a chance for bilateral meeting hosted by the Prime Minister Balša Božović. Official part of the Vidovdan celebration started at midday time on New Cemetry, where Prime Minister Božović paid respect on Serbian military graveyard, President Sarkozy paid respect on French military graveyard and Chancellor Bohmer paid respect on Austro-German military graveyard. After each has paid respect to the fallen patriots of ww1, three leaders have reunited and proceeded to Batajnica, where this year's military parade has been held.

On the opening of the parade, Prime Minister Božović said:

"Ladies and gentlemen
Damen und Herren
Mesdames et Messieurs,

We've gathered today on this important day to celebrate our history and continue work on making our future. Wise men have said that you can't walk into your future if you don't know your past, because your past is who you really are. Our past generates our national identity and our approach towards it generates the potentials that lead us towards the future. We are here today for two reasons. To remember and to commit. Turning back to what has happened on this day and how much blood has been spilled multiple times during or due to events that took place on this day, we must first to remember all the sacrifice that Serbian soldier has made. He was the first one to stand against Turkish invasion on Balkans, first one among those who stood for re-birth of nation in early 19th century, he sacrificed not once to preserve, protect and defend his nation and his liberty, which he proudly wore in heart during both World wars. That is Serbian soldier - one who fought first Entente victory on mount Cer in August 1914, one who crossed Albanian mountains in 1915 and came back to his home to liberate it in 1918, one who was the very first to rise against the foreign occupation and create only free territory on Balkans in 1917, during days of Toplica uprising, and only liberated territory in whole Europe in 1941, during days of Užice Republic. That is Serbian soldiers, these are his victories and we owe him to remember them.

However, there's other part of what we must do here today - we must commit. We must commit ourselves to future where no new generation should experience what these Serbian soldiers I've just spoke about has been experiencing for centuries and centuries. We must commit ourselves to peaceful future, because we believe in peace and we believe in democracy and we believe in future where those ideals will actualize up to the maximum of their potentials. And we're not alone on that path. Today, we have numerous allies in both NATO and the EU, supporting our goals. There has never been such a time in last three decades of contemporary Serbian politics that Serbia has been so respected and trusted by it's allies and partners all around the globe like it is currently. I am proud that we have with us today Chancellor Bohmer of Germany and President Sarkozy of France. Speaking of their presence, I must say how prod we are that we've been able to have here today with us President of country we've been allied with in both World wars and Chancellor of the country we fought against in both World wars, and that way openly show how we respect mutual history of all the European countries, with all the authenticity that each state has, and put it where it belongs - to past, while pragmatically stepping forward so that similar wars can never occur in Europe.

And so, my fellow compatriots, remember your national history because it tells a tale of who we are and feel free to put that story into a beautiful joint future of European nations, because that is exactly what each European nation should feel free to do. Have no doubt that your government will back you while you promote Serbian culture and history in ways that equally respect all the other cultures and histories. And at the end of the day, take a deep breath, wave your national flag over your head and feel proud of being a Serb!

Thank you and God bless Serbia!"

In the official lodge that has been reserved for distinguished guests there have been all the Ministers of government, as well as President of the Third Republic of Serbia and Leader of the Opposition. After the parade has finished, all of them proceeded to working lunch and afterwards to the official meeting between three leaders.

French-German meeting in Belgrade, involving the Prime Minister Božović, lasted for three hours and as the press has been informed it was used as an attempt to both address some of the bilateral subjects between Berlin and Paris, as to prepare for the joint approach to the numerous subjects on the upcoming EU Council summit in Nice during mid-July. Tonight, both leaders will sleep in Belgrade, and after a morning ceremony in Palace of Serbia, where President's office is, both will finish their visit to Serbia.

A PROFILE ON JUND AL-URDUN: A Vision by SSNP Party Leaders

| ¨The world has come to realize how destructive the partial philosophies and ideologies of capitalism, Marxism, fascism and national socialism have been, is today in need of a new social philosophy that can save it from the arbitrariness and error.¨The Jordanian people finally realize that their fate is tied to the lands and people of Greater Syria. The late great Antoun Saddeh knew and believed that we are one people who will not be ruled by those from other lands. Our fight for liberation is a decent and noble battle for the liberation of peoples against the imperially drawn boundaries. |

| From the sands of Wadi Rum to the highlands of the north, we firmly believe in our vision to reunite al-Sham. Emerging from the brief conflict of the civil war, we´ve revived the spirit of parliamentarian democracy because of our belief that the voices of all Jordanians should be heard. Al-Sham after all is one of the most diverse regions of the world regarding religion, ethnicity, and such diversity should be reflected in the voices elected to represent. Although we respect all voices in the legislature, the SSNP first and foremost wants to reiterate that we are a secular country that respects all religious groups. The laws of such country will always be crafted in the interest of no sect or ethnicity as the unity of our nation is valued above all. |

| We want to encourage all around the world to invest in the talent and promise of the Jordanian people. Our belief that industrial creation translates into a skilled work force which will lead to a better quality of life. Our economy consists of agriculture, mining, and textile manufacturing. Under a future vision, the Gulf of Aqaba will become a center for trade commerce on the way toward Indian Ocean and Asian shipping routes. Being a gateway to the Levant and Greater Middle East has its advantages and being in such a diverse climate will translate to quite a diversified economy. Infrastructure investment is on the way as talks between our neighbors for a revitalized, modern transportation system is underway. |

| Our relations with our fellow Arab neighbors will always be fond. However, our belief as stressed by Saddeh is that our Levantine neighbors to the north are our pride and joy. They are an extension of us, an extension of our people separated by the wretched Sykes-Picot agreement. We want to see a united and strong Syrian state independent from foreign interference or assistance. The longing and desire to be united as a single entity amongst our people is palpable. |

            The Growth of Bega
Bega Cheese's $1.3 billion purchase of Lion Dairy & Drinks and Bellamy's Australia makes the company the largest in Australia
            June 29th

The $600 million purchase of Lion Dairy & Drinks from the Japanese conglomerate Kirin, and the $700 million purchase of the Australian-owned Bellamy's Australia, will see Bega Cheese become one of the largest dairy/food companies in Australia, and quite possibly the largest.

Bega Cheese had humble beginnings, starting out as a dairying company in New South Wales' South Coast in the 1850s. The company started processesing and selling milk in 1960, and purchased 70% stakes in Tatura Milk in the 70s. Listed on the Australia Securities Exchange (ASX), Bega Cheese soon purchased the remaining 30% of Tatura Milk in August 2011 and the now public business begun it's rapid expansion.

In January 2017, with the collapse of Kraft/Mondelez Australia and New Zealand, the Australian businesses owned by the American Company were given to Bega, as well as the license to sell Dairylea and Snackabouts, as well as Kraft's peanut butter and Easy Mac. Bega's purchase of Mondelez ANZ also meant that Vegemite, a food heralded as an Australian icon, was finally put back in Australian hands - the 'Australian' brand had been American-owned since the 1930s.

Bellamy's Australia, who are the largest supplier of Organic Baby Formula and one of the largest organic food producers in the country, has faced a number of leadership issues since 2015, and has since paid the price - literally. Bega Cheese purchased the company, it's assets, and facilities, for $700 million today.

Lion Dairy & Drinks has been owned by Kirin since 2008. In talks and dealings with the company, who sought to sell the brand, Bega successfully acquired LD&D this afternoon. Bega's purchase returns Australian milk companies Dairy Farmers and Pura, as well as beloved flavoured milk company Masters/Big M, along with multiple other yogurt, cheese, and milk companies that have long been Australian household names, back into Australian hands. Ex-Footy Show Host Sam Newman called Bega 'the saviour of Australia's food industry' after he learnt of the purchase. KAP Queensland Senator Bob Katter has called on other large Australian companies to follow suit with a mass buy-back of Australian-owned businesses.

Res publica italia

    In Vino Veritas

The Italian nation state will stand the test of time as one of the greatest to ever exist. From the glory of Rome, to the diaspora across the Atlantic; the world would know of the prestige of being Italian. The contribution of Rome in building Western civilisation is unrivalled, and although there were many years of great turbulence in our countries past; we can only move forward to reignite the fire that existed within Rome, and within the many Italians that would give so much to the world.

The arts and the sciences will once again be valued for what they were, and the contributions of Italians will no longer just be from it past contributions. The streets of Italy will be cleansed of crime, and the country will witness a regrowth. A development programme will be implemented in southern regions of Italy with the hopes of combatting crime and poverty, as the region pose the highest amounts in the country. This programme will allow for employment opportunities for millions of Italians in the south, as well as more investment opportunities for Northern Italian and foreign businesses.

Foreign Policy

Italy will be pursuing a more Europe-Italy based foreign policy structure. With the hope of strengthening the continents place on the global market, as well as furthering the interests of Italy against the growing markets in the East. Italy will also be taking harsher steps in securing its naval positioning in the Mediterranean Sea, being central geopolitically in the affairs of the region; actions that jeopardise Italian security interests will not be taken lightly. Activities in the Southern shores of the Mediterranean Sea will be monitored, as well as events that unfold across the Adriatic, much closer to home. Rome will be seeking immediate contact with Cairo in regards to their positioning in Bosnia, as well as justification for Egyptian presence and influence so deep into Europe; a politically stable and safe continent.

The disregard for the safety of Bosnia by any European power will be a failure of the lessons learnt from both World Wars; and therefor the justification that the integrity of the Bosnian state is threatened by its Christian neighbours is futile. Christendom is not bent on the destruction of a state that has peacefully existed amongst its nations, but if Egypt intends to provoke Europe peace; then necessary actions will be taken against Cairo and Sarajevo.

Six Al ghaliboun Navy ships patrolling in the Middle East moved closer to Yemen's Golf of Adén coast in recent days, the top Navy general said on Monday, in what appeared to be a precautionary move to protect the merchant ship convoy that sails the Red Sea with an unknown shipment with the flags of both countrys clearly seen on the cargo ships.

The movements in the Litle Aden Bay started 2 days ago, as the Ansarallah started moving army trucks to the al-Buraiqeh port area where a new military port is being built aswell as the fortification of Jazirat Aziz island.

Yemeni military industries have made great strides in the defense sector and will “surprise” Saudi Arabia and those of allies that are waging a war on the country, said Yemen’s Defense Minister Major General Mohammed Al-Atifi on Sunday..

Speaking at the committee on Yemen’s defense doctrine in the capital, Sadah, Atifi said that the Yemeni military had developed advanced weapons and technological achievements that met the country’s need to defend its sovereignty, unity, and independence.

"We have developed and manufactured missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, rockets, and other kinds of weapons," he said. "We are now in the final stages of developing different air defenses and a new program to bring peace to the Gulf (Aden) waters "

Persian Gulf FLNG Development
Qatargas announced today that it will be collaborating with Afsharid Persia and Greater-imperial-japan on construction of a new floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) processing platform in the Persian Gulf. FLNG is an emerging technology in which liquefied natural gas is processed at a facility floating above undersea gas wells, rather than having to be pumped to shore via pipelines for processing at a land-based refinery.

The facility, named Al Sudfat Alkabira ("The Big Shell"), will be constructed on the border between the Qatari-controlled North Field and the Afsharid Persia-controlled South Pars Field, and will undergo joint operation between the two nations. Design and major construction of the facility has reportedly been contracted to Greater-imperial-japan's INPEX Corporation, which has worked on similar projects in the past. Construction is said to begin this month.

Foreign Investment
In similar news, Qatargas also announced that bidding for joint drilling rights to the Al-Bakr offshore site have concluded, with Zhen dynasty securing 30% ownership of the site. The $2 billion bid will reportedly be used to finance construction of the drilling platform.

Qatari Government Promotes Investment in Automation
The government has issued grants to several Qatari technology companies to be used towards development of automation technology. The Amirah has stated that the grants are meant to continue to modernize the country's domestic industries. Qatar has faced some criticism in recent years over the conditions of its majority expatriate workforce, and this move toward automation may be a tactic to deflect these criticisms.

Persia and Verapazuela reach oil deal

DISTRITO CAPITAL, VERAPAZUELA - The Verapazuelan Ministry of Petroleum has announced that it has successfully concluded and signed a deal with the government of Afsharid Persia, to import oil from the resource-rich Middle Eastern country into Verapazuela. The oil will be put into circulation as soon as it arrives in the port of Caracas, to alleviate slightly rising prices in parts of the country caused by illegitimate sanctions by the imperialist United States and it's allies.

Crippling and unhumanitarian sanctions targeting the peaceful nation of Verapazuela have caused much danger and grief to the Verapazuelan people, making the purchasing of petroleum, medicine, or any foreign goods much harder. Similarly, many foreign nations have been forced to cut off trade relations with the South American country due to intense pressure from the apartheid government of the United States that oppresses it's own citizens.

The first Afsharid Persian oil tankers will be arriving in the port of Caracas early next week, should everything go as planned. Jorge Arreaza, the Verapazuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, thanked the Afsharid Persians in a public statement, saying "it is great to see fellow nations that have not fallen victim to US propaganda aimed at our country, and we will be sure to continue to develop ties with any nations around the world who follow their example!"

            Another One Bites the Dust
NSW Democrat MP Shaoquett Moselmane suspended for links with PKK
            June 30th

At 6am on Friday the 27th, Member of New South Wales' Legislative Council Shaoquett Moselmane's Rockdale house and office was raided by ASIO on suspection of links with Middle Eastern Terrorist Organisation PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party). Moselmane has told the media that he is 'not under investigation,' although AISO is very much investigating him and his links.

The Investigation into Moselmane is the first of it's kind after stricter foreign interference laws were passed late last year following the DSP recieving illegal funding from China last August. Moselmane has been dismissed from the caucus and from the party, and will no longer sit in parliament.

Moselmane was born in Lebanon, with AISO saying that his ties to the PKK could be inherited. It is believed that he has attempted to declassify PKK as a terrorist organisation and provide the group with intel, aiding in their operations abroad. He has also attempted to gain PKK sentiment in Australia, and has often spoken of them in good light in public.

The PKK is a terrorist organisation who have been engaged with various armed conflicts with Turkey, Iraq, Persia, and more. The radicalised communist militants have been engaged in violent confrontations since the mid 1970s, and refuse to call themselves a terrorist organisation.

Moselmane, who's property and office is still being investigated by AISO, is expected to face criminal charges if his links to the PKK are proven. Moselmane is the 5th Democrat to be dismissed from the party this month, and the 11th to lose his spot in parliament.

            Air Canada Moves West
For the first time in it's history, Air Canada moves out of their Montréal office
            June 30th

In accordance with the Ferguson Administration's plans to 'stretch' Canada (that is, not have it's industry and business centralized in Southern Canada), Air Canada has moved it's headquarters from Montréal, Québec, to Calgary, Alberta. On top of that, Air Canada has also purchased Jamieson Place in Calgary as the new headquarters, and purchased Flair Airlines for $1.5 billion after going into voluntary administration.

Flair Airlines is an ultra-budget airline whose aircraft and staff will be transferred to Air Canada Rouge after the airline hit rock bottom during the Coronavirus Pandemic. It's 7 aircraft and 300+ staff, who were all at risk of loosing their jobs later this week, have been 'rescued' by the flag carrier airline. The Flair Airlines brand will continue until 2025, by which time Air Canada aims to repaint and fully incorporate the brand into the airline's main budget subsidiary. Frequeny fliers and members with Flair Airlines will be eligible for Air Canada's equivalents until 2025.

Jameison Place was named after Alice Jamieson, the first female to be appointed to any judiciary in the British Empire back in 1913. Air Canada has announced plans to rename the building to reflect it's current ownership, which has caused much chaos in Calgary. Almost overnight, Jamieson has come one of Canada's most controversial figures. While many on the left say the building should not be renamed (Jamieson was a social activist and a feminist), some say it should, as she still represents the British Empire and colonialism.

Air Canada have put out a poll on their facebook, as well as a petition to the people of Calgary, on the name of the building and if it should remain Jamieson Place.

PERSIA EXPRESSES SUPPORT FOR AMERICAN PROTESTERS

TEHRAN – “It doesn't come as much of a surprise.... It is what the US governments have been doing to the whole world for some years now,” said Persia’s Prime Minister Arash Damavandi in his first public reaction to the killing of African-American George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis.

While Derek Chauvin, the white officer, was initially the only one charged in the case, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced today that the three other officers involved in the incident would also face charges.

According to Prime Minister Damavandi, the scene of “a cop kneeling on a black man’s neck and letting him choke to death … is the nature of the American government. They have done the same to such countries as Arab-jamahiriya, The Afghan Republic and Sahuria. When the Americans aren't doing it themselves, they're usually helping another nation to commit such injustices, just as they do in the occupied Palestine.”

PM Damavandi also touched upon Floyd’s last words, “I can’t breathe,” which have characterized the recent anti-racism protests across the United States. “It is a slogan that speaks for the hearts of all nations oppressed by the United States,” Damavandi declared in his televised speech, likening the ongoing “turbulent” situation triggered by the “cold-blooded” killing to “the sludge at the bottom of a pool” that is now visible on the surface. The Prime Minister ended his speech by voicing his support for the American protesters, and urged other countries to continue showing support for the movement.

"We stand with the American people who oppose the wrongdoings of their government, especially under the Trump administration who seems to show no regard for the lives of its own citizens. Our goals are not much different, and God willing, we will both be successful in reaching them." said the Prime Minister in the conclusion of his speech.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif was also quick to voice his support for the protests on Twitter.

The Foreign Minister tweeted: "Some don't think #BlackLivesMatter."

"To those of us who do: it is long overdue for the entire world to wage war against racism. Time for a #WorldAgainstRacism."

Abbas Mousavi, spokesperson of the foreign ministry, also voiced his support for the Black Lives Matter movement as well.

"To the American people, the world has … heard your outcry over this state oppression," he said, according to Time.

"The American regime is pursuing violence and bullying at home and abroad," he added.

Many cities across Persia had held candle vigils for George Floyd, most notable in Tehran and Mashhad. There was also protests outside the US embassy, with many declaring their support and one-ness with the American protesters as well as Antifa. Some even held signs that granted Floyd the honorary title of Shahid, or martyr. While the protests were mostly peaceful, a few protesters also burned US flags and threw eggs at the US embassy, but no one was reported injured or hurt.

Historic Deal Made Between APFF and Bundesliga

Historic deal between DFL and APFF. / Pars News Agency

FRANKFURT – A historic five year deal has been reached between the Football Federation of Afsharid Persia and the Bundesliga. The deal, initiated by the Persian Ministry of Youth and Sport and the German Football Association, will see a number of Iranian football players transfer to the Bundesliga.

The deal was concluded today in Frankfurt, Germany, where the headquarters of the German Football Association are located. Mehdi Taj, the President of the APFF was also present.

With the new deal, Bundesliga teams will be required to have a minimum of one (1) Persian player on their roster each season for the duration of the deal.

The Bundesliga clubs will also be able to purchase players from the Persian Gulf Pro League at discount prices, with the Afsharid Persian Football Federation compensating the Persian clubs for their discounted sales to German clubs.

The deal will be beneficial to both sides, as Persian players will get the opportunity to train in a top class league such as the Bundesliga, and German clubs will get first picks on young Persian players with potential.

In addition to the sale of players, Afsharid Persian Broadcasting (APB), the state television broadcaster of Persia, has secured exclusive rights to Bundesliga broadcasting in the MENA region for the duration of the deal.

Afsharid Persia has had a long history of successful players in the Bundesliga, with three players (Ali Daei, Ali Karimi, and Vahid Hashemian) even playing for German champions Bayern Munich.

Besides those three, there were als players such as Mehdi Mahdavikia, Karim Bagheri, and Khodadad Azizi, who all had memorable and impacting performances for their respective clubs in the Bundesliga.

The deal is seen as a shocking move by most football fans, with some analysts suggesting that it could be the first of many Persian ventures into European and especially German football.

PM Damavandi Concludes Doha Visit

DOHA – Prime Minister Arash Damavandi concludes his state visit to Qatar, securing major deals on cooperation in the Persian Gulf and re-affirming the strong ties between the two nations.

One major deal was the cooperation between Afsharid Persia, Qatar, and Japan on the construction of a new floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) processing platform in the Persian Gulf.

Design and major construction of the facility has reportedly been contracted to Japan's INPEX Corporation, which has worked on similar projects in the past. Construction is said to begin this month.

Prime Minister Damavandi also paid a visit to the 5,000 Persian troops stationed in Halul Island Air Force Base in Qatar. The base was constructed to defend Qatar against invasion from their neighbors following the GCC blockade of Qatar led by The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Persia has also provided Qatar with food and supplies throughout the blockade. Prime Minister Damavandi announced his desire to hold joint military drills with Qatar in the Persian Gulf "soon".

Since the Saudi led blockade, the two nations have shared close ties with one another. The blockade, meant to push Qatar away from Persia, has had the opposite effect, with Qatari-Persian relations becoming closer than ever before. The relations between the two nations show no signs of declining any time in the foreseeable future.

Former Prime Minister Sentenced to Jail

| PARIS — Court on Tuesday morning sentenced former Prime Minister Francois Fillon to five years in jail, three of them suspended, for embezzling public funds in a scandal that wrecked his 2017 run for president. The court also found Fillon's wife, Penelope, guilty for her role in the scam that saw her receive about 1 million euros for minimal work as her husband's parliamentary assistant. She received a suspended three-year sentence. In a scathing ruling, the chief judge said Fillon, 66, had eroded public trust in the political class as a result of paying his wife a salary that was disproportionate to the work done."Mrs. Fillon was hired for a position that was without use," chief judge Nathalie Gavarino told the couple. The Fillons would appeal the verdict, defence lawyer Antonin Levy said. It means Fillon will avoid going to jail before the appeal is heard. A consummate political insider who was prime minister under Nicolas Sarkozy from 2007-2012, Fillon had been the frontrunner in the election race when the allegations surfaced.

At the time, he denied wrongdoing, resisted party pressure to pull his candidacy, and was eliminated in the first round of the vote. When the scandal broke, Fillon denounced what he called a campaign of dirty tricks and denied having done anything illegal, though he later admitted an error of judgment. But the court said the couple had failed to prove what work Penelope did and had amassed wealth as a result of the scam. "The resulting personal enrichment (was) substantial," the judges determined. Fillon stood expressionless as the sentence was announced. The court also convicted a third co-defendant, Marc Joulaud, to a suspended three-year sentence for continuing to channel money to Penelope Fillon after he took the conservative politician's parliamentary seat while her husband was in government. The court ordered the Fillons to pay 401,000 euros in damages to the National Assembly, and told Penelope Fillon and Joulaud to pay a further 679,000 euros. |

German Chancellor releases statement on BLM protests in America calling for reconciliation and an end to the violence

Berlin - Chancellor Alois Bohmer released an official statement on Tuesday addressing the protests and riots unfolding in several cities across the United States. Protest began shortly after the killing of Minneapolis African-American resident George Floyd, who was murdered by a white police officer after he knelt on his neck for over 6 minutes. This sparked national outrage and protests began in earnest a day later. These were led by an African-American rights group known as Black Lives Matter or BLM which was founded in 2017. Protests have become increasingly violent, with property damage and arson being reported as recently as last night as protests appeared to devolve into riots. When riots began, the German Foreign Office put out a statement warning German citizens currently in the United States to exercise increased caution and avoid large groups of individuals. Another warning was also issued today, advising Germans to stay away from the city of Minneapolis in the state of Minnesota where most of the riots and violence have concentrated.

Today, the Chancellor also released a statement addressing the issue. In a press release made public this afternoon, Bohmer called for "civility" and urged the government of President Donald Trump to "hear the pleas for change coming from activist groups in the country." He also went on to say that the German government "condemned any and all acts of violence" adding that the U.S Government "should do everything in its power to promote peaceful dialogue and reform wherever needed." The statement ended with a personal quote from the Chancellor who urged local leaders and BLM activists to "come together" and "engage in peaceful dialogue to promote reconciliation and understanding."
