In the name of the United States of America, I shall turn all of Europe into a giant Walmart. All Europeans will be forced to use mobility scooters.
I would assume Sail. But don’t quote me on that.
I wouldn't read it as a region specifically named "Loranian Elections", but rather a region of any name, that serves as the region of Loranian Elections. Loranian Polling Station is the region of Loranian Elections, therefore still possibly legal.
is this even really a debate? we’re becoming slaves to our own slightly arbitrary rules. if anyone seriously cares what the region is called, speak now - otherwise we can forget it. if it really will bother you, then sail can edit the dispatch and we forget this happened.
i’m all for following the law but this is ridiculous
Serious Post! (Yes)
I propose a bill that will officially declare Lorania a family-friendly wholesome NS region that shall follow the good word of the all-mighty banana duck (praise him).
Like for banana duck, ignore for no banana duck (heretic!).
👏 anthem 👏 review 👏
From the darkness, risen newly,
to the future turned, we stand!
Let us serve our king's will truly,
Tai Pei, my dear fatherland!
Triumph over bygone sorrow,
can, with unity, be won!
Let us all hope for tomorrow,
For life, liberty, and land!
Over Tai Pei shines! (x2)
May we be an inspiration,
What we do with mighty hands!
That a decent Tai Peian nation,
Flourish as do other lands!
In equality, united,
We shall crush all freedoms' foe!
Let all paths of peace be lighted,
That no monarch shall again,
Mourn their kin in woe! (x2)
The cost for sin is to face toil,
Let us guard and love our home!
Love it as our dearest soil,
As all others love their own!
We shall all, in proper fashion,
Condemn crimes which we evoke!
And reach out with true compassion,
To mend gripes with other folk!
Through the youth, who all are striving,
to live with words and not a gun!
They are Tai Pei's great reviving,
and all over our fatherland,
There's a radiant sun! (x2)
The Kaiserreich devs have dropped Kerensky, how could they do this to him after all my games starting with the poor man being assassinated. He never deserved this!
I would probably wait and see if there is a candidate running that I believe would be a good PM who could unite and hopefully rebuild Lorania into the region it once was. If it seems that no-one of that criteria is running then I may consider running, but nothing's definite.
I'm less active than what I once was. I spent months fighting for what I believed was right, but I've been doing less since tensions have died down. I have concerns about whether I'd be active enough, and I'm worried that everyone here wouldn't be happy with some regrettable actions that I've taken in the past. However, under the situation where I have support within the region and there isn't anyone else who I'd support going for the position, then I might run for PM. As for who I'd support, I have a few names inside my head, but I'm not going to say here on the RMB.
And after that, I'm happy to take up a cabinet position if I'm offered one, and if not I'd probably run again for the HoC. It seems that no-one really wants to be delegate right now - I'm happy to let someone else take over if they're willing to do more with the position than I have. I'm sure that Seas found the same issue with the position that I did - being delegate has less incentives, motivation and things to do with the position than with being PM. It's hard in the sense that it's easy to either forget about the position or about commitments (such as my voting guides from my first delegacy) that you create.
And Seas, I know that you're stepping down after your two terms in office as PM. We have sure had our fair share of disagreements over both our times as PM, and while I still majorly disagree with some of your decisions and methods of leadership, however now is not the time for argument so I shall not mention any specifics. But I have to give credit where credit's due. You had ideas, some more controversial than others, and we as a region worked together on them to make them fit for purpose. For example, the reforms to the RMB regulations, while they had the need to be amended almost immediately to fix a relatively big issue, prevented a situation like that of Bio from happening again. And as the PM who struggled with sorting out that situation in a constitutional manner, I thank you for that. The other example that I can think of is preferential voting. While it took several months longer than I hoped, it was implemented. While I and several others disagreed with your methods, we agreed to a different idea, which I wrote into a bill and which will be implemented this election. You also took the decision to not try to cling onto power for as long as possible and instead stepped down, satisfied with your two terms in office.
So Seas, while we've had quarrels, disagreements about almost every issue, whether it would be acting under the constitution, foreign policy or court cases, thank you for what you've done for this region.

- Special Story! - Is the rest of the world too complicated for Tai Pei? - Special Story! -
Recently, there have been calls to finally tell Tai Pei that other places actually exist and aren't a figment of their imagination, or the chemicals we've been putting in their water.
However, opposition comes in the form of the mirage industry, which has been solely responsible for keeping the Tai Peian people and government oblivious of the rest of the world.
Over the last few months, the CEOs of mirage corporations have cited in their case to the Loranian International Ethics Society or LIES that the Tai Peians "have forgotten that there isn't in fact a giant waterfall that sends any poor souls who go past them to the shadow realm."
This has faced backlash from the enemies of the mirage industry, which has been cited as the 2nd most common cause of death in the desert after thinking sand is sugar and ingesting 40 ounces of it within the span of five minutes. This will be a divisive issue over the next couple months, not to mention how the Tai Peians themselves would feel about it, which is not a factor because sometimes we forget THEY exist.
A worldwide poll will be held next week whether to yell very loudly into a megaphone across the ocean to get the attention of some Tai Peian fishermen or to put this issue in a bucket to save for a potential New Year's resolution.
This weekend on Lorania News Network, "Should the Loranian HoC transition to Caveman as their official language?", and "Banana Duck or real duck, which can reach supersonic speeds faster?"
I think I might try. I think we are so focused on legislation, (trying to fix this about the constitution, that about the constitution) that that is all we are doing. I think we need to leave well enough alone. There are some changes that could be made, but they aren’t major. I think we need to step back and realize that Lorania shouldn’t be just about government, we should have some fun to. I’d look into fixing the RP, maybe having a regional game night, some other fun event to increasing regional participation. This would also cut the we-are-squabbling-over-deciding-what-we-are-squabbling-about- that can sometimes take over the RMB.
Once we make the region is inviting and attractive again, we will likely have more success at recruiting.
So I’ll consider
