As the High Court will be incredibly busy with a series of lodged cases that will need to be done in as quick of fashion as possible without delay or doubt, I have personally informed Chief Justice Katarial that there are two conflict of interests in the ongoing constitutional challenge to L.R. 73, or "Political Integrity Act." This includes O-broki, who served as an attorney in the first instance it was challenged, as well as Trump and pence, who challenged the "Political Deceit Act." At the time, the High Court unanimously ruled it constitutional. But the ruling takes second priority to an evident vested interest, which is what both associate justices inhibit. This is not a bad thing, per se. It is only normal to hold an opinion on something, and it is not uncommon that a member of the court does as well. Should any conflict of interest arise for any member of the court, it is incumbent on that justice to abstain from the case itself. The High Court is to be a neutral arbiter on questions pertaining to the law, and conflict of interests undermine that.

It is why I informed the High Court of the importance for the two associate justices to not intervene in the ongoing challenge. As well, it was one of the last requests made to me by then-Prime Minister Frost-hammer. It was a promise I accepted because I realize the importance of impartiality. Upon telling the Chief Justice, (s)he agreed that this is important and will be brought to the attention of the entire court. I was under the impression that there would be no issue.

Last month and earlier this week however, I spoke with T&P about the conflict of interest and how it is only appropriate for him to withdraw from the trial. He shrugged it off and ignored my concern. Frost-Hammer agreed with me that he must abstain, and the Justice then attempted to change the subject. For those who do not regularly speak on voice chat, that is no problem. But I believe it is important to at least make you aware of this Justice's history pertaining the "Political Deceit Act" and "Political Integrity Act" as he held very strong beliefs on both subjects. Upon passage of the former, T&P quickly scrambled to lodge a challenge against the law. I was selected by the government to defend the case in court. Ultimately, the High Court unanimously ruled it as constitutional. I discussed the result on voice chat with T&P. He was livid, and thus began his obsession to overturn this law. Shortly after the ruling, when the region took up constitutional reform as laid out in the merge with Dawn, T&P and I collaborated to draft out the proposed amendments. After spending hours upon end ironing out the differences, I noticed that he tried changing the wording of the political parties. It then occurred to me, the reason he did this was so he could alter the wording in his favor so when the amendments were adopted, he could then lodge a case appealing the decision. I crossed it out immediately, to his disappointment. I called him out on it and he laughed. At the time, it was all in good fun. But the goal of reform was to meet a compromise laid out in the merge agreement, not for a personal interest so one could alter the Judiciary. Ever since, he has fumed over the fact that he lost that case. Now that he is on the court, he sees the perfect opportunity to overturn it so he can get the satisfaction of getting his way. I quite simply won't allow this. He has casually remarked, jokingly or not, that it is "his" court. He prides himself knowing that most decisions go his way, but the reality is that it is not his High Court. It was established long before he was a member of the bench.

When I reminded T&P to remove himself from this specific case, he refused. He effectively forced my hand, thus why I reached out to the Chief Justice. T&P has already suggested that I am doing this to "meddle in court affairs", but it's quite the opposite. I am doing this to prevent him from meddling in it. If he does not abstain, and his decision tilts the verdict of the case, regardless of whether it is constitutional or not, then I will no other choice but to involve myself. T&P's rivalry with me has clouded his judgement on this one. He is a good friend of mine, but that does not change anything. I famously disagreed with another good friend of mine on numerous occasions, Frost-Hammer. However, even he realized T&P's obsession to mold the judiciary around his opinion and personal interest. T&P has threatened to force Justice Minister Cesorion to prosecute me on grounds of attempting to influence a sitting justice's mind. It is a ridiculous, but predictable, diversion to turn the table on the Monarchy when it is my job to mediate all branches. When the High Court punished a former secondary Monarch, I respected the decision and removed him. I have respect for the Judiciary and I have been a staunch defender of it. After all, it is why I founded it. It is because of this that I make everyone aware of what must occur if the Justices do not abstain and it affects the final ruling, and this goes for any other sitting members of the bench that have a conflict of interest pertaining to any case. To the defense of O-Broki though, one of the Justices personally informed me that he is inclined to abstain.

I find no pleasure in making a public post like this to single out a particular person, but he has habitually ignored the pleas of the Prime Minister, Chief Justice and myself. I want to be as transparent as possible about this situation, and that includes a potential penalty for allowing a personal interest to override the neutrality of the Judiciary. Which is effectively what he will be doing if he does not abstain. Nevermind the fact that it sets a dangerous precedent going forward.

For the record I identfied my own conflict of interest in the case and informed Katarial I was abstaining long before it was mentioned by the Chief Justice or UDR.

Then expect the same from our regional government. If I’ve seen anything in this usual pattern of spam and hate, it’s that they always go too far.

Even if there going up in support that would be normal because the region just got an extra 60 people.

The thin white duke wrote:What are you even talking about? You've been involved in every opportunist power grab since you joined. The Royal Reform party, being one of very few people in this region to be charged with corruption, you resigned as RP Director because you did nothing while your staff did all the work and you took the credit. What the APU? Don't even need to explain that. Or the Military, the single most unconstitutional Legislation that has ever been passed. You made that Motist account to personally attack me, which once again I have proof of. You even said it in the discord itself you just like to annoy me. Gee wiz I have a distaste for you. Let's not even mention hoe you manipulated emotionally manipulated Saariset.

"Randomized actions" wtf does that even mean? You don't understand why I do things the way I do? Fine, you don't have to. I don't understand why you do the things you do either. If you want me to "tone it down" than stop acting like some political moral compass when all you actually get political table scraps.

I like to annoy you cause I find this funny. But in all seriousness, I can see all of those situations, but I do find that there is one piece missing. I haven't been involved in every power grab in the region, but I have been in most, which is why I try to stay out of them now, not only because I don't want them, but because there is no point in grabbing power, when you can just gain it from public support. If you wish to discuss the randomized actions that I was talking about, I'd gladly do so, but I would prefer to do it in a more calm, and toned down environment.

Oh and I honest to death wish to see how you connected Motist to attacking you personally. I see that as the most off thing in this entire little argument, and an actual point would be made if you had such evidence.

If I may, I do believe that you didn't wish to join a coalition with Bloc because they were left, yet you wish to promote a party that is in a coalition with the right? I'm sorry, but I am just seeing that some people here wish to look at this like there is a split between the left and right, when in reality, it should be cooperation and communication, that's all we need, and that's what I wish to at least try and see from this.

Actually if I trusted the current poll (it only has 26 responses, so I still need like at least 64 more) then Bloc would be losing big time.

Not having access to region wide telegram really hurts my ability to get enough responses.
