{What foreign leader do you admire the most?}

A lot of those on Discord will probably guess one of these, but I believe the two leaders I admire most are Nicola Sturgeon and Angela Merkel.

Nicola Sturgeon I admire for her determination and dedication to long term goals. She has truly helped to further legitimize the SNP and ensure that even if they lose in the short term, they will persist in the long term. In my eyes, her style of leadership is very "movement"-oriented, but also draws from the successes of an "incremental progress", Alinsky-ite approach. She has helped to blend the social movement and bureaucratic legislating aspects of two sides of the spectrum together. I truly admire her leadership, and enjoy the wit, humour and wisdom that she brings to her position of First Minister.

Angela Merkel is likely one that some people will critique me for, but I really admire her for her focus on sticking to her beliefs and morals. Chiefly during the migrant crisis, her staunch defence of doing what was morally correct has truly stood out to me. There is respect that should be given to an individual who refuses to give into fear-mongering and anti-immigrant sentiment, and instead inspires her nation to a higher moral calling. It truly is admirable and though i disagree on many of her other polices, I have vast respect for her in regard to her dedication to moral principles in the face of tremendous opposition.

Notifying the region that I have officially finished the base for all factbooks required for the Senate Clerk to hold under the imperial constitution. More factbooks with extra stuff (such as the past senate compositions one we had in the NWA) may be added in the future, however the base for all of the clerk's basic duties are now all here.

btw I still want a government official role on discord

Hello everyone,

As many of you know I, Bergonnia, have been in the NWA (now NWE) for over two years now. I have enjoyed my time and have met many great nations. However my time is coming to an end as real life starts taking over as it speeds up.

And so with that I am announcing my retirement from public service effective when the new government takes office. I have done a lot and it’s been fun. I will still periodically be on here and be active-semi active on discord for a while longer. But it’s been fun everyone!

Sincerely,
The Berg

Berg, I wish you the best in real life. You and I both joined in the NWA during the same period and both helped resurrect the NWA under the leadership of Ostermeer. Very sad to see a dedicated member step away, but I understand why you would do this. You will be certainty remembered my friend! <3
