New Proposal

The Credit Currency Act - (Proclamation No.2)

Concerned of the inflation and inequality of budgets and finances of member nations, and difficulty of exchanging currency values;

Intrested on the idea of encouraging a regionally used currency;

Baffaled by the fact that we do not already have a Ministry that promotes finances;

Hereby enacts the following:

Act 01: All nations will have a universal currency and system of the Norrandian Credits;

Act 02: Gives member-nations the authority to willfully choose whether to use the Credit currency or to use their own;

Act 03: Shall be an amendment to the Constitution;

Act 04: Allows a Ministry of Finance to Organize which nation use the currency and to record regional finances and budgets.

Signed, Gregouria

Legal Status

The senator from Mersdon would like to voice his concern with part of this bill. The unification of exchange rates and currency values across the region is welcomed, but the idea of a supranational Finance Ministry raises the specter of member states surrendering part of their sovereignty to the collective, and potentially in an unfair way as well (i.e. certain nations gaining more competitiveness on the world market due to this move at the expense of the wealthier and more productive countries in this region.) What does the honorable Senator think will help resolve this problem?
