Monkelandd believes that Climate Change is the primary cause of the severity of this hurricane. Therefore, Monkelandd would like to organise the Thalassian Climate Summit, on the 11 July 2020. We hope many nations will attend, and that we will agree to become carbon neutral by 2030.

The Conklandi Government would suggest using its fusion reactor to power the entirety of Thalassia in the long term and New Camelot of Avalonia's Energy Consortium in the short term.

RP
Nationific agrees with Conklandi, as it already uses power supplied by the AEC, and this power is cheaper, and more eco friendly than current modes of eco-friendly energy production. Also, Nation Guy has shown considerable interest in a viable fusion reactor, regardless of the nation which builds it.

Conklandi wrote:The Conklandi Government would suggest using its fusion reactor to power the entirety of Thalassia in the long term and New Camelot of Avalonia's Energy Consortium in the short term.

RP
Monkelandd will consider this proposal, but is wary to give its entire power network into the hands of a foreign country. We must also consider all sources of carbon in our lives, not just in energy.

Choosing ants as a national animal is the best idea I've ever had. It's super fun when problems adapt to that.

Clarkstan will not participate in potential Climate Summit,any climate agreement will have a negative effect on our economy and it is not in our interest.Participating countries can adopt any agreement they want, but they should know that Clarkstan is not obliged to implement the decisions adopted at the summit.

Selestviean Election Debates
Brief Update
Saturday Night

Last night, the leaders of the 4 major political parties running this election were put together in the same room to answer some questions. Here are the top 2 highlights.

1. On the Education System, what will you take, strictly monolingual or bilingual as it is?

Liberals: Look, Selstville was built upon bilingualism. French and English is a lingo all Selestvieans should learn. Yes, only a few parts do practice French, and the francophone are diminishing but it’s all about that culture that makes us Selestvieans.

Conservatives; Yes I do agree with what Kel (Liberal) says. Education should stay bilingual and ever encouraging of dual language systems. Despite the criticisms, say the Labor that education in Selestville puts extra stress in students. Bull! We have modernised it. First, schools decide their curriculum. We allow flexibility. Whether or not you choose to take up French is still completely up to the student and parents. As for Francophones, all national exam papers can be taken in the medium of French except obviously English. Our Education system is already robust. What we need is to build up the system and not rebuild it from scratch.

Labor: Well as you can see here the current coalition is obviously oblivious to a fact that the world is globalised. We survive on economy than culture. Here we are taking a speech in maintains history when in actual fact, employments down to a record low. Barely scrapping half of the economically active. What we need now is a stronger government that recognises Selstville’s position in the region and the world!

United: Look, no matter what happens, we want our future to be bright. And for that to be bright, an education that is strongly and constantly evolving is needed. Here at the United Selestvieans’ Party, we will continue on the push for greater autonomy of schools. After all, we are and always will be a kingmaker. A pressure is needed to keep the government of the day in power.

2. In the Lux regions in the west coast, there are increasing calls for the use of the MMP electoral system. Discuss.
Liberal: Alright. We need to ask those teenagers, why? Why? Why? Our electoral system is manageable and off no irregularity. Yes, FFTP is a little unproportionate if the opinion but MMP has its challenges to. A coalition government is not easily formed. We look at several states that use MMP. Tell me one that doesn’t have a 2 party or more governing coalition.

Conservatives: I agree with Liberals. Maybe before we start doing it, let’s take a pub test. Start with a small city council and evaluate from there. Most importantly, we need to see why these activists are calling for change.

Labor: Look, we are actually welcoming Reno (Consevatives) idea of a pub test. After all, a change in electoral methods require a 2/3 majority to pass or a referendum. And with the apathy, I’m pessimistic about the proposition’s future.

United: Now before we get into anymore discussion, we do have to acknowledge what’s Lux. Lux is a region widely known for separatist movements and are one of the highly concentrated Left Wong voters there. So it is expected for some electoral reforms. So it’s not about hey look at this but instead hey let’s work on this.

The last shorter leader debate will take place on Thursday before the elections.

It depends on what you want for you nation's flag.

Mine, for example, as a meaning:
-Purple represents the mornachy, in this case, the Empress;
-Yellow the constitucion;
-Red the Federation;
-The Bird is the guardian of the country;
-The Coat of Arms represent the kingdoms inside of the Federation/Empire, though it is missing one, since it doesn't fit;
-Plus, the cota of arms in the center of the main one represents the Royal House, in this case: Braganza-Habsburg-Lorraine

__Nice. The Constitution as yellow works for Sino-southeast Asian connotations as well, as yellow represents sovereign authority in Việt-Namese flags. As to mine, it's the best I can find to represent my nation's singular mission: maximize the youth crime rate. It seems to me that the most difficult thing to do in this game is not eliminate youth crime, so it's a nice sandbox challenge.
