I need a favor...one of my mains Sword island region got raided by the traitorous Rorrickstead. He was our friend, he ran for parliament, he even convinced me to vote for him. Then he took over the WA delegate seat and it was over. Just to let you guys know, the The Royal Alliance III is recovered. What I want to know is if you knew about this beforehand. And if you didn't, could you help me get revenge?
Hey there. One thing you might notice is that everyone in the NationStates world can see your post. This includes raiders like us, but it also includes people who would stop raiders like us! As a result, it's usually not a good idea to put raid plans here, for the same reason that most countries don't put their war plans in their own newspapers.
The other thing is that we don't take raid requests. It might seem a little harsh, but the members who lead raids typically choose the targets for that raid. It's one of the perks of being a member - the people who are here long enough to lead raids (which is the 2nd/3rd rank, so these people are pretty new) are usually the ones who know what kinds of targets we are looking for.
That being said: it looks like you got your region back. Congratulations! Maybe in the future we'll happen to raid a region your friend is in, just by chance ... but then, maybe you'll raid it first. :)

The stat changes are all dependant on the choices you made, some options will lead to certain areas improving while others could lead to those areas becoming worse.

It is called sieging.

Sieging is where you hold a region hostage by threatening that region to password it unless it doesn't join your region. This would usually be done by raider regions.
Should we try this to gain more members forcefully?

In NationStates, members of the WA can elect to draft a resolution in the Security Council called a "Liberation," which nullifies any password that has been imposed on a region by a delegate or regional officer. The goal of these liberations is specifically to prevent this situation from taking place and provide a possibility for ~~natives~~ defenders to take back the region before it can be destroyed and refounded.

Yes, but if we act before that, we have a slight chance to do it. It takes a long time for a resolution to be completely finished. It spends days in the forums and then days in voting. That is plenty of time.
It would certainly be hard to issue a recruitment ultimatum involving being passworded forever when the only way for it to be passworded forever is to kick all the recruits out first.
Commenting on that, having recruits that simply joined because we forced them to wouldn't be the best members of TBH.
Though in the past, some of our great members have come from regions we raided. While forcing them to join is definitely not so smart, inviting them to can be quite rewarding! ^_^
