Democratikans have voted in favour of ending our association with NationStates.

The Admin Team has prepared a transition plan for the months ahead so we can make the change efficiently and as seamlessly as possible. This policy was ratified unanimously earlier today by all Admins. The name for this policy is Operation FOUNDING DAY, the implementation of which begins immediately.

The policy can be found in full on the Democratikan Discord Server. The Democratika will now enter a transition period, lasting from now until March 11th, TDK6 (2023), Retribution Day. During this time, the Admins will prepare both the Discord Server and the website (the-democratika.com) for the transition. The NationStates region will become password-protected, and at the end of the transition period, it will be turned into a permanent memorial.

Right now, there are no changes to the running of the Discord Server or the Great Democratikan Roleplay. Both will carry on in their current form until Admins begin implementing the changes outlined in Operation FOUNDING DAY. The website, however, is already being prepared to take on some of the duties previously assigned to the NationStates region, such as the hosting of the regional honour roll and archives. You will be informed when the Admins begin to implement parts of Operation FOUNDING DAY.

We, the Admin Team, are aware that this is not the result everyone had hoped for. However, we will make every effort to ensure that the transition process is inclusive of the needs and wants of all Democratikans. We are, as always, open to any questions that you may have about the process. This is why we urge all of you who wish to remain engaged in the community to join the Discord server. Communications from Admins on NationStates will cease after March 11th.

To those of you who are unable to join us for this new chapter, we thank you for your contributions to the community and wish you all the best in your future endeavours. You are welcome to stay in the region as we begin winding things down and preparing it for memorial status. No nations will be ejected.
